Tussionex vicodin

Common Questions and Answers about Tussionex vicodin

tussionex

This was often helped by the prescription given to her by her loving doctor, it was tussionex. After having this problem for years, one year, 2009 in January, this lady's illness was much worse than ever before. So the tussionex was prescribed again and again and again, hoping that after many tests, the problem would be solved and she could come off the tussionex. But lo and behold no problem could be found for that fair maiden and she remained on the tussionex for many, many months.
Why was this done? Just because nobody else does Tussionex, because it isn't as popular as, say, Vicodin or Oxycontin? Well, doc, you should know I think that even if my drug of choice isn't as popular as the others, the addiction is just as real. I would appreciate it if you could take the time to answer my question, even if my drug isn't as popular as the others. To repeat my question: can you suggest the quickest, most painless way for me to detox from Tussionex?
It dated back to 1998. In every picture, I was on some kind of drug. Lortab, Vicodin, Tussionex, xanax...For some damn reason, that hit me really hard. I was thinking out loud, "This is ********." I had 14 (Yes, it was 14 Lortab's) left and went to the toilet. I took my bottle and tossed my pills in the John. At first, I was thinking, "What are you doing?" The first hours weren't bad, but later that nite was a *****. The next 5 days were really tough.
STC, I have not posted as regularly as I used to but still monitor the forum regularly. I was a vicodin/hydrocodone/Lortab/Tussionex addict for 12 years. It took a hard fall to get me set in the direction I needed to go in order to get help and break the addiction's grasp. One thing that I will warn you against is doctor shopping/hopping. Under federal statute, this constitutes DIVERSION, a felony by standard in any jurisdiction in the United States.
until I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lower back - well as luck would have it I was prescribed Vicodin with has the same crap in it as the cough medicine Tussionex had. Well long story short I have finally come to my senses and gave it all up. I can do it...but man oh man this withdrawal is really terrible....
My doctor prescribed Soma and Percocet initially, then Vicodin. I called in a refill for the Vicodin which was prescribed as 1 every six hours as needed--it may have been the 3rd or 4th refill and now the doctor wants me to go to pain management rather than risk Vicodin addiction. My doctor is hesitant about surgery and will only consider it when I am totally out of commission. My question is what should I do in the mean time?
He has been seeing surgeons, back specialists, chiropractors, and pain management specialists, but has not received any help. From several of the doctors, he has been prescribed vicodin for the pain. He has been taking these for over a year now, and he is showing symptoms of addiction. He hides the pills, he is taking WAY more than he should, and he has them filled at several pharamacies (which he hides from my mother and me).
I was clean for five years and then had gallbladder attacks and finally had it removed. Used vicodin ES once in a while which turned into everyday. Then began having back problems and started norco 10. I have worked up to 20 a day. They want to put a spine chord stimulator in my back. I am overweight and have been working on a treadmill everyday and feel somewhat better.THEN on top of those 20, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and have been drinking 2oz. of Tussionex.
Hi All I am thinking, Vicodin or Lortab area all the same? IS one stronger than the other/? I know Norco has less tylenol What would be call....something with only hydrocodone and no additives? What strength, the same was the like 10/325 norco, the 10 is the hydro? THANKS ALL...
I have been addicted to opiates such as Darvon and Vicodin for five years. I stopped taking them two weeks ago. I went through some very painful withdrawals. I feel much better now but I still have no energy and am restless at the same time. I am not able to work. I know that my body will eventually start producing the necessary endorphoins to give me energy again. Until then, I started taking Ritalin. It gives me energy while calming me.
im 36 weeks pegnant and its been a painful pregnancy. ive been presribed vicodin and tussionex alot lately? it was a miracle i got pregnant, because of my past with cervical cancer surgerys i have an incompitent cervix.in less than 5 days they are taking my cervical cerclage out and i may go into labor. will the hydrocodone be in the babys system and can they take my baby if it was prescribed?
mg ,,, so hmm be carefull with the benadryls they'll knock your a$$ out with a couple vicodin. just don't take so many vicodin and you won't get the short breath. opiates depress breathing too.. so who knows whats causing it.. could be an allergic reaction, could be normal ,, dunno.. you didn't give much infos besides "hydrocodone cause short breath?
Vicodin, Vicoprofen, Tussionex, etc... and thay may be called in or faxed in to a Pharmacy and can have up to 6 refills.
I got this off the Tussionex web site: Each teaspoonful Tussionex contains hydrocodone polistirex equivalent to 10 mg hydrocodone bitartrate and chlorpheniramine polistirex equivalent to 8 mg chlorpheniramine maleate. Unfortunately I don't know what those things are. I did get about 15 pills labeled Hydrocodone/Homatropine, which is apparently a generic for Hydrodan. It had about the same effect as Tussionex, although not quite as good. Maybe those pills were only 7.
The clonazepam(klonopin) that you took last night should have helped with the w/d symptoms. Then you took half a vicodin or norco? So you probably eliminated most or all of youe w/d symptoms with that. Clonadine is usually given during opiate detox but it is not a benzodiazepine like klonopin. Often benzodiazepines are helpful in w/d. Klonopin is a little different than most benzos.
It's combined with a minor antihistimine that, frankly, I never noticed an effect from - even when I would drink 6 ounces of Tussionex at a time. I truly believe that Tussionex would make a legitimate pain relief option because of its time release nature. You can use it so that it is not narcotizing, that is, you don't get the instant "whack" of hydrocodone with Tussionex that you will from Hycotuss.
t3 is has 30mg codeine/350mgtylenol lortab has hydrocodone(like vicodin-5mghydrocodone/500mgtylenol or 7.5mg hydrocodone/750mg.tylenol), they are two chemically different drugs but hydrocodone is more potent than codeine. hydrocodone works on defferent ypes of pain for me than codeine, like headache, 2 tylenol4 would help with a headache for me but no amount of hydrocodone is. On average I would say a tylenol3 or 4 might help with the same pain as 5 or 7 mg of hydrocodone xo- D.
i am a going to be a pharmacist and yes propoxyphene is the generic for Darvocet N100. I believe is a schedule 4 narcotic (with schedule 2 like percocet, cocaine, and morphine being schedule II's being the strongest, then the "hydrocodones"-Lortab, Norco, and Vicodin being the next in line, then darvocet along with cough medicines like tussionex that contains hydrocodone.) and yes IT is very addicting if not used properly.
but not as much as vicodin gives. This happy feeling I had also lasted WAY longer than the euphoria I got from vicodin. Is that normal, singha? Tramadol makes you feel all happy and euphoric? Or was that just me having a good day? lol Either way, I can't take any more of them, cuz they do something to my heart and its scary.
A lot of factors would determine if someone is charged, and how severely they are charged, including which medication was involved (for example, a schedule 2 narcotic, like Percocet/oxycodone would be treated more seriously than a schedule 3 narcotic like hydrocodone/vicodin), how many scripts were involved and how many pills were Rx'ed (difference between being charged with distribution or not), whether insurance was used or not to pay for the subsequent scripts, if you have any criminal hist
Hydrocodone is the active ingredient found in Vicodin, Lorcet/lortabs, tussionex, vicodin tuss etc. oxycontin is a time release percocet.
Don't I know how you feel hunny! Except I'm not tryin to get off tussionex or vicoprofen anytime soon. The withdrawal symptoms can be very dangerous which most prople do not know about prescriptions. Lortab is basically just a stronger vicodin. It is hydrocodone with acetominophen(tylenol) If you would like to get off of this medication you can talk to your doctor about the best way to wean yourself off of it.
Hydrocodone (dihydrocodeinone) (Vicodin®, Lortab®, Tussionex®) This action renders all products containing hydrocodone, including but not limited to hydrocodone in combination with acetaminophen or ibuprofen, Schedule II. Schedule III Deletions: Hydrocodone (dihydrocodeinone) (Vicodin®, Lortab®, Tussionex®) This action renders all products containing hydrocodone, including but not limited to hydrocodone in combination with acetaminophen or ibuprofen, Schedule II.
That is way to much vicodin and tylenol. Very hard on your internal organs. Dont be afraid of the wd's......You will get thru them. Keep posting and we will help you.
This is why your doctor put you on norco instead of vicodin or lortab (most of the brands of these drugs typically contain 500mg tylenol or more per pill) I am assuming that your norco's are 10/325? 10mg hydrocodone/325mg tylenol (APAP, acetaminophen) If not, it might be time for a new Doc! No one with any liver problems should be taking more tylenol than that. 10-15,000mg of tylenol in a 24 hr. period often causes severe hepatoxicity and doses of 15-20,000mg tylenol in a 24 hr.
I felt very energetic and happy. I drank both bottles within a few weeks. I dabbled around with tussionex, vicodin, etc. till I found 10 mg Lortab and a regular (illegal) supply. That was a long time ago. Now I've been spending money I don't have to get more and more pills, which haven't made me feel euphoric in a long time.
Hi guys, sorry to interrupt the thread, as I do not have an OD story, (Thank God), however I am going to ask a question that I believe we can ALL benefit from...I read in an earlier post that Tom knows a method by which the Tylenol can be extracetd from the Vicodin/Percocet, etc...What is this method?? Please do share,(not only Tom but ANYONE who has an "in" to this secret practive) our livers are screaming for your help!!
So you mentioned you are on....was it vicodin...right now? How are you doing with that? Taking as needed, or a few extra? Well this oughta make ya laugh...out of the blue today, my 2.5 year old son looked at me and told me I was a "silly bi*ch"!!!!!!!!!!! I have no clue where he got that from!!!
my name is emily and for about four years i have been on and off painkillers, mostly vicodin es and tylenol with codeine#3. I have endometriosis and anyway, my last pill was two weeks ago today. I am nervous because even after two weeks, i am still so tired- i feel like i have to take a nap in the middle of the day, and i am sluggish all the time. I was taking 4-6 pills a day on and off(on for a few months, off for a few weeks, etc.
