I get high blood pressure on pills with estrogen so I started the mini pill. It has no estrogen and I didn't have any side effects. I was off it for about a month when we got pregnant.
I have been on trinessa for 4 weeks now. I am on the Sunday start pills. I started the first Sunday of July. My last period started the first Saturday of July. I've been taking my pills at the same time daily. I've been having protective sex always, and the guy never releases in me. Even though he wears a condom, he always pulls out before he has to ejaculate. I am now on the 5th day of my 4th week pills (I started Sunday). I still haven't started my period.
Have you considered mirena? I've had it over a year for heavy bleeding and it made a huge difference for me in that regard. I haven't really had any side effects. Maybe slightly stronger cramps but that's really only for a day. But for me the bleeding is significantly less such that my quality of life has improved dramatically. I'm glad I got it. If you haven't tried it then try it out and if you don't like it you can always get it removed.
I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. After one day of discontinue use, I felt better. I was still having pressure headaches, just not as severe.

I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
ve recently cut back down to the three 25mg pills due to weird side effects that I attributed to the increase in Lamotrigine but may have just been incidental or due to something else. Insomnia, heart palpitations, nausea, increased thirst, headaches, hot and cold flashes... etc, etc...) I've read online that Lamictal can affect the effectiveness of birth control, but my doctor assured me that the dosage I am one would not.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.
Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?
Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.
I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?

Thank you for writing to us here, though I am sorry that you are struggling with side effects from the result of breast cancer medication.
I am also a breast cancer survivor, however as I am triple negative, the hormonal drugs are not effective for me so unfortunately I cant speak from experience.
However, that doesn't mean that I cant find out some interesting information for you in relation to libido and Arimidex.
