ortho-tri-cyclen

Avatar n tn I have been on trinessa for 4 weeks now. I am on the Sunday start pills. I started the first Sunday of July. My last period started the first Saturday of July. I've been taking my pills at the same time daily. I've been having protective sex always, and the guy never releases in me. Even though he wears a condom, he always pulls out before he has to ejaculate. I am now on the 5th day of my 4th week pills (I started Sunday). I still haven't started my period.

18026835 tn?1462471175 I'm 21 years old and have been on Trinessa for about 2 months. With the first month, my period was scheduled to start halfway through my pill cycle and instead I just spotted a little. And today I am spotting again and I'm not supposed to start for another 3 weeks. I'm very nervous and I don't want to be pregnant since it won't be my fiancée's and I don't want to deal with a baby from that awful situation....
Avatar n tn I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Avatar f tn A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
Avatar f tn I loved the nuvaring! But I have visual migraines that cause me to. E on a low estrogen kind of birth control, so it was that, pill, arm implant, or iud. I did the pill for a while, but I'm not responsible enough to take it daily at the same time.
Avatar f tn She's on birth control, so as long as she took it regularly- there is only a very slim chance she could be pregnant. It does fail, but it's pretty rare. The only way to know for sure is to have her take a test- but there are many other factors that can cause a late period. Have her take a test, then you can go from there- best of luck and let us know how you are both doing.
Avatar f tn It's always tricky to know but would doubt it since you faithfully take your pill. Really, I do doubt it. This is all likely hormonal and your body adjusting to the pill. You can take a test around 2.5 weeks after your last unprotected sex to know for sure! Let us know!
Avatar m tn My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar f tn Since you're on a triphasic pill, you would have to take them out of order to skip cause of the different level of hormones in each week. Even still many women who take them out of order still have spotting or breakthrough bleeding because triphasic pills don't work effectively for skipping like monophasic pills do. For some women they can't effectively skip their periods even with a monophasic pill either cause their body won't deal with it for whatever reason.
Avatar f tn Am I pregnant? We would be so delighted by the arrival of a baby in our home. When is it too soon to take a pregnancy test?
Avatar f tn Hello! Sorry this is long, but here is my story... I have a couple questions. I have always had painful and irregular periods. This past July, I went to my family doctor after fainting, vomiting, and having severe abdominal pain. My Dr. had to go deliver a baby, so I lied in the room in horrible pain for a couple hours; when he finally came back in, the pain was gone. He did a pelvic ultrasound a couple days later and found fluid, which led to a diagnosis of a ruptured ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn If the green pills are the ones you take at the end of a pack when you get your period, then they're inactive and you don't need to take them. Birth control pills have instructions about what to do in case of missed pills, including when you need to use a backup method. Usually missing one pill is fine. If you've been breastfeeding, that can also provide some protection against pregnancy (although I would certainly not rely on just that).
Avatar n tn that is what happens be for and after you have your baby and your period i had that happen to me and when i went to the doctor they said that it was old blood that was from my period but if that still happens go to the doctor and see what they tell you tell them that you have that problem and take a pg test to see if you are pleas let me now how it go"s k.
999058 tn?1257563650 I started my new pack of Trinessa last Sunday. I didn't take Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as the alarm set on my phone failed to go off and it totally slipped my mind, yes I know, my bad. during those days, don't recall when exactly, I had unprotected sex, maybe a couple of times. About 4 to 5 days later, my fiance and I had intercourse again and afterward, when I went to use the restroom, there was pinkish spotting on the toilet paper. This is new for me.
Avatar f tn But Stop the pills a little before the week you want to start bc since its not time it may take a day or so for you to start..at least it did for me..
Avatar f tn Don't take offense I have pcos I lost weight and my periods returned the more weight I lost the more frequent they became until perfect on time :)
Avatar f tn t technically have to take them, but I always do to stay in the habit. Well I took the two to make up for missing them along with the new pack with the white pills and have had my period ever since, going on 7 days with cramping and heavy bleeding, but the bleeding has since slowed yesterday. The cramping is different than what I have felt before, not constant. Comes and goes. Should I be alarmed, call my doctor?
Avatar m tn Hey 17780, how did this work out for you? I am thinking of doing the same thing. Bad timing with a vacation, but I am afraid of making it worse by adding spotting to my month when not expecting it. How did it work out for you?
Avatar f tn A visit to a gynecologist for discussion on the most appropriate method will be helpful. If you do not get your periods in a week or so it is suggested to take up pregnancy test. A urine/blood test for determining HCG levels may be done. This is only an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. For more assistance and queries seek the opinion of a gynecologist. I hope it helps. Keep me posted with more queries. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn And also will our little mishap have caused us to get of again? She is also currently taking cephalexin for her cold and trinessa for birth control.... please help with any information you might have, thanks...
Avatar f tn t work well at all to try to skip with a triphasic pill. There is a way to do it but you have to take them in a different order and even then it doesn't work that well for most people and they end up with spotting or breakthrough bleeding. I mostly used a monophasic pill when I was on it and that always worked for me because it was the same level of hormones the whole pack.
Avatar f tn An intramural uterine fibroid measuring 4.0 x 4.0 x 3.6 cm is identified at the uterine fundus, similar to comparisons, and may abut the endometrium. A second smaller fibroid is seen measuring 2.1 x 1.9 x 1.2 cm involving the uterine body anteriorly and appears subserosal. The endometrial stripe complex is within normal limits measuring 3.9 mm. The right ovary is unremarkable in appearance measuring 2.6 x 2.1 x 2.4 cm. The left ovary measures 3.6 x 2.8 x 2.
Avatar f tn I heart started to race, my hands got sweaty, I felt like I was going to faint. I had to leave and take a walk. That night when I went home, I felt terrible. I felt hungry, but it hurt my stomach to eat. I got the chills and had nausea to the point that I made myself throw up. The next day I went to work. That morning I started to feel bad, same dizziness, nausea, chills. I went home, rested, and felt fine by the afternoon. Since that day I have constantly felt bad.
