Avatar n tn My first period after starting Trinessa was late. In fact, I wondered if I was pg again and my son was just a few months old! I want to say it started on the last pill that it started. Since then, it seems to start around day 4 or 5 or the last week of pills, but that first month was weird.
Avatar f tn A month ago, I went to the doctor up at school (I am 20 and attend a university) and the doctor felt my ovaries and said they felt fine; she said the pain was probably still from the ruptures and to just take ibuprofen (it doesn't help). Could the pain still be from the ruptures or is something else going on? Sometime the pain is severe enough to make me just sit still for a couple minutes until it goes away... the pain also seems to wrap around to my lower back at times.
Avatar f tn I am currently only on a BCP, Trinessa. comparted ota 2008 U/S the larger has grown a lot and hte smaller fibroid is new. Does this report look as though surgery to remove may be an option? I am sick of feeling crappy 80% of the time.

Avatar f tn Not a great idea, but doable. A better idea might be to start a completely new pack the week before he gets home. You might bleed a bit from the drop in hormone levels, since you're on a triphasic pill, but you should be bleeding free and protected when he gets home. If you plan on needing to skip periods, you should consider getting a monophasic pill. With those, you can just start a new pack after 3 weeks (don't take the reminder pills), and not get your period.
Avatar m tn My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar n tn I am on trinessa. It is my first month on birth control ever and usually my periods are about 19-25 days apart. I am on my 3rd day of the inactive pills right now and have still not gotten my period. I originally went on birth control because my periods are so irregular and to protect myself against pregnancy. I took a pregnancy test two days ago just to settle my nerves and it came back negative. I still have not gotten it though.
Avatar f tn Everyone is different, but I'd just like to say I did the depo shot and it was terrible. A lot of women tell me they've had a similar experience. Talk to your Dr, but I dont suggest it!
Avatar f tn I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
Avatar m tn s CARE) done between 1994 and 1998 showed there was no increased risk of breast cancer in current or former users of birth control pills. Two newer studies (2011) confirm that oral contraceptives are not associated with breast cancer–specific or all-cause mortality. In general, most studies have not found an overall increased risk of breast cancer due to the use of oral contraceptives.

Avatar f tn Two nights ago I started to get a pain down my left arm and tingles in my left hand. My mum has both breast taken off to breast cancer. I am very frightened that I have this. What do you think?
Avatar f tn Congratulations on your eight years! I hate to be the one to say this but there is no such thing as "out of the woods" with cancer, I wish there was. What you've done is reduced your risk for another estrogen positive breast cancer and ovarian cancer. But that doesn't mean you won't get a different type of breast cancer in the remaining breast tissue or another part of your body. But you know as well as I do that each year we are NED with cancer is better for our odds.
Avatar f tn I am 55 years old had recttal cancer removed 4/o8, and luckly no bag and no treatment. I have dense breast with micro calcification. Had a biopsy of right breast 2 years ago and was fine. Went for mamo and sono this past Monday and they saw microcalcification that they say is suspicious. So next friday I go to the hospital for yet anothet biopsy. My question is, for my surgery in april for the rectal cancer I had a chest cat scan and a full body pet scan. Both came up good.
Avatar f tn m really scared. If I do have breast cancer how much will the treatment cost and how long do I have to be on treatment? What is breast cancer exactly? Please help!!!
Avatar f tn What is the difference if any, between BREAST CANCER STAGES and BREAST BIOPSY GRADES I, II, III. Are Breast Cancer stages the same as Grades? Thank you all !
Avatar n tn No, she does not have breast cancer, but you should have it checked out if this continues.
Avatar n tn It has been my understanding that mets is related to cancer cells being present in the lymphatic system and that a piece of a tumor breaking off would be almost unheard of in the case of Breast Cancer. I believe the original poster was speaking of RISK rather than actual occurrence.
720228 tn?1530911279 Lynch Syndrome has connection to many types of cancer ... Breast Cancer is NOT one of them. Breast pain is usually a result of hormone activity and I presume that since you had a baby just last year that you may not be over the age of 40 ..... Dense breast tissue is present in nearly half of all women of any age. This does not mean that you are at a higher risk for developing Breast Cancer.
1793863 tn?1325002184 Dear Ivankaivanova, I understand your concern, presumably after reading an article on MMTV (Mouse mammary tumor virus). However, though gene sequences of MMTV have been found in human breast and other cancers, its causality is not yet proven. The human-to-human transmission of MMTV causing breast cancer is even more hypothetical at this point. It is under research.

Avatar f tn t work well if you want to skip your period by taking the packs back to back because the pills go from low dose to high dose of hormones instead of the same level for all 3 weeks. For me, I wanted to stay protected and continued to finish out the pack and went back to respecting the placebo week. My period normalized after a while.
