trileptal

1374874 tn?1278686480 With all of the anti-seizure meds (gabapentin, Tegretol, Trileptal, etc) you have to increase the dose slowly according to your doctor's instructions to get pain relief. That said, I did not do well on Tegretol -- it made me a zombie and did not help my pain. But everyone is different. I ended up on Trileptal -- it has less side effects than Tegretol. I took 3 doses of 600 mg per day to stop my pain.
740140 tn?1232426714 When I went into er they did a triponin test and it showed that the level was ok and then 8 hours later it jumped to the 9.2 level. I was just wandering if that is a level that is super high or what? I mean, how high can a triponin level get while someone is haveing a heart attack?
Avatar f tn s common or uncommon but its not rare. Trileptal is similar clinically but better in one way in that the blood test is not required. I found that lithium worked well but had some trouble tolerating it for other reasons that were physical but did very well on Lamictal especially on rapid cycling. Each person reacts diffferently though. Speak to your psychiatrist about what is going on and if other options might be considered.
Avatar f tn Due to the severe burning sensation I have in my hands from my current MS flare up, my neuro has put me on Trileptal. I have read great things about this med in regards to TN but not much about peripheral nerves. Anyone have any experience with this med for burning sensation NOT on the face? Hope you all are well!!
Avatar n tn The pain was an 11 on the 0-10 scale. Since the pain has only calmed down to a 7, my neuro added trileptal with the neurontin. The trileptal is being titrated and I'm at 750 mgs per day right now. Can anyone tell me at what dose of trileptal you got some relief from the constant crawling, burning, crushing type pains? Also does the side effect of nausea and just feeling crappy all over from trileptal eventually subside. I also have MS. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I experienced a problem with generic Trileptal. Kept increasing the dosage, with little relief. Then I started having memory lapses due to the dosage amount. The doc took me off of generic and put me on name brand Trileptal and we were able to reduce the dosage drastically and stop the pain. As for when to take the drugs, you are right, it's best to keep an even level of the drugs throughout the day. Best advice, talk to your doctor.
767237 tn?1332640177 Hi a theraputic level is the level that the drug needs to be in your system for it to have any beneficial properties. This is why for lithium you have the blood test to check the levels, I beleive drug levels vary per person but the range is normally 750 to a max of 2000mg of lithium, im on 1000mg. You should get your doctor to explain it for each drug so you know why each drug at each level is used, this is why they use a combo.
1011826 tn?1274492712 After 3 months, I am down to 900 mg of Trileptal, 2 mg Xanax, and 150 mg daily, down from 1800 mg daily of TRileptal originally, and a VERY slow introduction of Lamictal into my system. Of course this happens on the weekend, otherwise I would have called the pdoc by now-- anyway, let me know. Help is appreciated!
Avatar m tn With a TSH of 6.1, you most likely are hypo. You need to know first what your Free T3 and Free T4 are -- do make sure they are Free, not total, as those are obsolete and of limited use. In addition, don't ever settle for having them tell you, your results are "normal". Always insist on getting a copy of the lab report for your files. You can mark on it how you felt at that time and it will help you keep a running record.
Avatar n tn Got lab result back today saying 88.31 as TSH Level but normal range is 0.40 - 4.50. I'm taking Herbal Supplement from Nature Market. Should I ck in with my dr?
Avatar m tn Hi, I've been suffering symptoms such as short term memory loss, confusion, obsessive thoughts, anxiety, heart palpitations, irritability, extreme fatigue, low motivation, etc. My B12 level range came back as 509 or 512, I don't remember which but it was one of them two numbers. I live in Europe and found out that at this range people can experience numerous psychiatric and physical symptoms. Has anybody else experienced symptoms at that kind of range?
Avatar m tn I am on 900mg of trileptal and had a healthy baby boy in 2013. I am still on the same meds and currently 10 weeks preggo again. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I am supposed to start trileptal this morning but worried about the side effects particularly dizzines. Has anyone had these symptoms? what are the likelyhood that I would become dizzy and nauseas while taking trileptal? I will be starting out w/ 150mg twice daily for 3 days then increasing?
Avatar m tn Review this site for manufacturer patient assistance programs: http://www.needymeds.org/index.htm And specifically for the drug Trileptal: http://www.needymeds.org/drug_list.taf?
Avatar n tn I found one reference range of 5-50. There doesn't seem to be a solid method to standardize results. You can try a copy and paste of this link for more information. http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?
535882 tn?1396576685 you have to also see that your free t3 is in the upper 1/3 pf the range to relieve symtoms not just in range, alot of doctors just are happy if you fall in range but for alot of people to relieve symtoms you have top be in the upper range of free t3 and half of range with free t4 (in order to have enough T4 to convert to Free T3) free t3 is what relieves symtoms gives energy and makes you feel good. it should correspond with a low tsh range 0.3 to 2 but doesn't always.
233622 tn?1279334905 Side effects are minor, may cause some temporary drowsiness, mild allergic reaction, and decreased sodium level in the elderly. In short, Trilepital is an improved Tegretol, more effective, better tolerated and that has never been the cause of any fatal side effects.

Avatar n tn Hi, As can be seen from the following link, an young adult male can have a serum testosterone (T) level in the range of 300 to 950 nanogram per deciliter of blood. : http://www.mayomedicallaboratories.com/test-catalog/Clinical+and+Interpretive/83686 This range also slightly varies among different labs. The broad range is to cover a larger population base. It is is also expected that with age the T level reduces by about 1% per year after the age of 30 years.
