Avatar n tn I did feel like I was getting a little pain relief while on the Trileptal. Just hoping Tegretol works for me. Want to get out of this constant pain so I can get back to doing the everyday things I used to enjoy.
Avatar n tn Hello: My daughter is 14 years old and she is been having a lot of behaviors problems mainly been unable to channel anger in a healthy and acceptable social way. I took her to the doctor and he recommended Trileptal. I'm not very pro to this type of medication. Can you please tell me your opinion.
Avatar n tn That's great that you are getting counseling. You can worry all you want, but it won't make anything better. You will have to learn to let go of what you can't do anything about. You will be there for him if he ever gets help with his problems. Listen to your husband. You can't keep getting the stress of it or it can kill you--literally. Put your energies into others who need your love. Everyone needs love. But your son is beyond responding to it at the moment.
Avatar n tn My mother has very similar symtoms but hers sound worse than yours. She cant quit dwelling on things and then will get angy and border on violence. Your way ahead of the game by admitting that you know its not normal to feel this way. I would look up symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. It sounds worse than it is. Its basically the inability to control emotions. Always reading into things that aren't really there and then letting your mind run away with you.
Avatar n tn I've gone through lots of issues with my mental health for about ten years now.. Some reasons due to the bad choices I've made, traumatic events in my life, addiction, uncontrolled situations, a disfunctional family, fear of the unknowing, and abandonment. Since I was 15 I have been taking psych and depression meds to help cope and deal with it all. It's been a rollercoaster. When I found out I was pregnant, about a week ago, my doctor told me to stop taking all my meds.
804317 tn?1274207759 I hope you don't mind me commenting. I was sexaully assaulted around dthe same age by a same sex cousin who was five years older than me probably for a year or so. ( can't really remember) For years my sexual identity was Indifferent. I knew I liked boys but was to shy and guarded to talk to any. My sister went Through the same thing as me so I could share with her my thoughts about it. Kind of like a Release for me.

Avatar m tn I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. I feel guilty that I am taking more tablets and my health condition is improved now. so I planned to reduce my tablet dosage. so I look over this- i.e.
Avatar f tn Perhaps this problem has nothing to do with mental health, if it is to do with your central nervous system. Do you feel you both have mental health problems, or is it pain?
Avatar f tn Has anyones mental health been impacted by living with endometriosis or finding out they have the illness? If so how are you coping/dealing with it?
5101703 tn?1363720186 I had a high stress job, teen with mental issues and a husband that is frequently out to sea for weeks at a time. I went to my MD in November because I wasn't sleeping, confused and angry. He diagnosed me with major depressive disorder - put me on Lexepro & Trazadone for sleep. Went back twice to tell him the meds weren't working, in fact, I was worse. He doubled he dosage. It put me into acute mania. The end of last month he said oh, you are bipolar.
Avatar m tn Thanks for your info on how Trileptal works for Tregeminal Neuralgia. I would be interested to see how it works with other people as well, in place of Carbamazapine and Gabapentin so I have some ammunition when I see my neurologist. I don't think Gabapentin is doing much if anything for me, I am currently taking 2700 mg per day in addition to Carbamazapine.
Avatar n tn To take this test my doctor weened me off Trileptal over a three week period. After off the drug for a couple weeks my symptoms returned - full force. Now after two weeks back on, I'm feeling much better. Any ideas?

1260240 tn?1336077448 ve been given and whether I think it would be beneficial for my son. We are desperate for help for him so I think this will be worth going ahead with. The hospital consultant psychiatrist is going to call me today or tomorrow so I will put more questions to her then.
1260240 tn?1336077448 Hi my son Glen is 16 and is autistic and has global developmental delay. The professionals want Glen to have a mental health assessment due to Glen's behaviours over the years, at the moment he self harms, i.e hits his head, and is extremely slow in all ways, has stopped speaking for the last few months, and has no motivation at all. The psychiatrist prescribed risperidone and prozac which have helped with the aggression, as there was a time when Glen was hitting out at people around him.
Avatar m tn Let's start by saying that I suffer from a Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ongoing Depression. The severity of the depression comes in "phases" (for lack of a better word) in that it'll be subdued for 9-12 months and then all of a sudden I feel like I'm heading back into the abyss. Well I'm back on the slippery slope and I can feel it getting a little worse every morning, every night.
