The area on the right was completely healed and the center ulcer was healing up. Much to my dismay, two days ago (about 3.5 weeks after noticing initial symptoms), the center ulcer erupted into its own little mini outbreak! Very itchy and two little mini-outbreaks based in the same area as that initial ulcer. Very frustrating because I thought it was healing up.
I spoke to the PPH doctor again and prescribed a treatment of 1g of valtrex a day.
in the last few weeks I noticed what appeared to be a pimple in my groin area (in the middle of my landing strip not near the vagina - above it). since i pop pimples obsessively, i tried but it was just a hard mass and didn't produce anything immediately. after a couple of days it did break skin and after a few more days is seemed to pop like a normal pimple producing what appeared to be normal pus. then it formed into an ulcer but i'm not sure if it was immediately.
Diabetes may be associated with increased susceptibility to infections and reduced healing power and in a few cases may be associated with neuropathy and decreased vascularity that could lead to the formation of a diabetic ulcer. Management of a diabetic ulcer would involve adequate control of blood sugar level, prevention of further trauma/ extension and appropriate antibiotics in the situation of an infection.
Be careful and try to avoid such activities where you may get hurt or bruised.
If you do ever get hurt, wash the affected area with clean water and an antiseptic solution.
Apply antiseptic dressing / cream.
If the cut/ bruise does not heal quickly, have your Blood Sugar checked and consult your doctor.
I know what a sebaceous cyst is like. I have a tiny duo of them on my scrotum. They're painless, skin colored, and have been there for over a year, and I can't feel them at all. 5 weeks into me having the ulcer as it was healing, still slightly painful, and he still has no symptoms. I can get into more detail about my ulcer in additional posts if you feel as though it will help - I didn't want to make this too long.
1) If an ulcer was swabbed within 30 hours of noticing it, and it lasted three weeks after this (so the ulcer was not close to healing at all), what are the chances the negative swab was accurate?
Yes I agree with both statements it did not look like traditional herpes but my concerns are 1. Ulcer looking after i picked at it. 2. The white dry skin while it was healing 3. The timeline 4. Pus filled after picking at it. Finally what else could explain it? Only thing i can think of is folliculits from shaving right before the act (which would put me at higher risk as well).

I'm a 24yr old male. I have a reddish oval shaped lump on the right border of my external urethral meatus. the lump is quite flat (doesn't stick out) and is smooth. I've had it for as long as i can remember. I do not clean under the foreskin frequently (although now i do it everyday). Slippery elm is very good at repairing and maintaining the mucosal lining of the walls of the digestive system. As for blood thinning, many natural substances help to blood thin, but they aren't as strong as medication. In combination, however, they can work. The question is why you're taking blood thinners to begin with.
Now on my 6th day on meds, my discomfort on urination is completely gone, but I realized the pain upon urination was due my urine coming in contact with a visible, red, fleshy ulcer on the side of my urethra. Comparing the pictures and signs and symptoms of other STD, I believe it's chancroid.
Are the meds prescribed enough to get rid of the bacterium that causes chancroid?
If so, how long does it take for the ulcer to heal?
Can Chlamydia or Gonorrhea cause ulcers to develop?
Diagnosed via endoscopy with a small gastric erosion compatible with gastritis several months ago (negative for h.pylori). Have tried Protonix for 3 months, Dexilant for 2 months, Nexium for 2 weeks (felt worse), and have been on Carafate for a month. I've also tried some "at home remedies". Nothing works.
I went to see my primary care Dr. for stress/anxiety and he thinks that may be why my stomach is not healing.

in the past 8 years i have gotten 1 ulcer on my vulva 4 times. in reading about crohns i found that some men and woman do report genital ulcers. Just wanted to know if this is true and has anyone ever had this symptom.
Yes, vigorous masturbation can disturb the skin on the penis just as clothing rubbing on your skin vigorously can irritate the skin. What you're describing, however, sounds more like a sebaceous cyst, or even an inflamed follicle. Is there any pus or yellowish-white fluid coming out of it? Can you see an ingrown hair? And did you shave that area recently?
