Avatar f tn I may have posted this before, I have tried many things, they gotten a little better but still here. I have these invisible bugs which showed up in my home twice a year, spring and fall, they leave in the winter months. but they only stick to my skin and my husband skin. Everyone else feel them but they don't stick on their skin. If I use insect spray they will come back and sting me with whatever I spray them with.
Avatar f tn What does skin atrophy look like? I used a steroid cream Triamcinolone on my face months back. I used it periodically over the course of 3 to 4 months. Now my facial skin looks almost scarred. I can't quite tell if it is permanent scarring or atrophy. Can a steroid cream produce scarring? Is this reversible? How long does it usually take to reverse?
Avatar n tn t respond to over-the-counter medicine, you may need a prescription-strength topical or oral medication. These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil) Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone. It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist.
Avatar m tn Decadron® (dexamethasone) 4 mg is not the therapeutic equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg. Using the Lexi-Calc corticosteroid conversion formula, the ratio of the 2 would be close to 5:1. So it would take Decadron® (dexamethasone) 16 mg to be approximately the equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg.

Avatar m tn Over a year ago I had a bad groin itch which my dumb doctor gave me a topical cortico-steroid to apply directly to my testicles. I believe it was Triamcinolone Acetonide. Literally days later I developed a severe testicular pain and sexual dysfunction that is still present a year later. Doctors have not been able to find the cause of the pain and attribute it to psychological problems. I have also developed a severe sensitivity to glucose.
1292023 tn?1272203010 Hello, Your dermatologist has prescribed the correct treatment as triamcinolone is a topical steroid. But make sure to apply it only for the prescribed time as it is a topical high potency steroid and hence it may cause side effects if used for a long time. You can wear cotton gloves as they absorb sweating which exaggerates the condition. Since eczema is triggered by stress and other allergens, so your perming of the hair and the exposure to chemicals may be the causative factor in your case.
Avatar n tn i have been to dermotolgist and he said it was sensitive skin or allergic to uv rays. i have tried triamcinolone acetonide cream that the doctor prescribed and only helps alittle on itching. this has been going on for a year now. any suggestions?
Avatar n tn My skin under my forearms are losser and crinklely after being treated with topical steriods for LICHEN PLANUS. Will my skin return to its toneness eventually? Avatar m tn I have been prescribed Fluticasone Furoate Nasal Spray and the information leaflet says not to use it at the same time as topical steroids. Once I finish using the topical steroid do I need to leave a gap before starting to use the nasal spray and if so for how many days?
Avatar m tn They usually occur after prolonged topical steroid use along with skin atrophy. My reference stated that Triderm is triamcinolone. Angioedema is a swelling, similar to hives, but the swelling is beneath the skin rather than on the surface. If you are experiecing this, you may be having a hypersensitivity reaction. Triamcinolone can also cause telangiectasiae.
4494421 tn?1355435226 I used an over the counter cream " Triamcinolone Acetonide " and it worked great for me. Other then that maybe others will chime in here but you can also check in the search box.
Avatar m tn I had a reoccurring fungal infection on the tip of my penis that I believe has been cured through oral fluconazole. Part of the treatment was Nystatin/Triamcinolone. For a time I also used Ciplopirox but it made the skin very waxy looking so I stopped that treatment. Now the underside of the Penis is pink in color and sex/rubbing in my underwear aggravates the condition, causing it to burn for a short period and get more red in color.
1833444 tn?1325557062 You may want to try triamcinolone topical. 0.025% ointment for itching Triamcinolone is a topical steroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling. Just something on my list of meds that I'm preparing for when I start my tx. Ask your Dr. about it.
Avatar n tn I looked it up and it's a topical spray with an antimicrobial ingredient (benzethonium chloride) and a pain reliever (lidocaine). I don't see anything that would interfere with actual clotting mechanism in the body as a whole. The best thing to do is ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this.
2091106 tn?1332817998 I'm calling it a rash, but I don't really know what it is. I took a picture of it and downloaded it as my profile picture. It itches and is a redish color. I have had it for a couple months and it hasn't gone away. I have been using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream from someone, but it hasn't helped. I don't have any money to see a doctor so any help would be great.
Avatar n tn A Dr could prescribe a more effective cream Nystatin and Triamcinolone Cream that could clear it up in day or two, or rule it out. I have redness and pain, though not balantitis. Do not overuse over counter or pres cream, heard can thin skin, so use caution do not use for many days.
Avatar m tn You might try the Biotene products (mouthwash, spray, toothpaste, etc.) to see if they will help. Tx contributes to changes in the salivary glands which create "dry mouth". Lots of people develop a bad taste in their mouth, distaste for foods and flavors and textures, and oral hygiene problems as a result of dry mouth. This may exacerbate your thrush condition. We have several forum members who struggled with thrush throughout tx.
250701 tn?1320974765 My husband takes Hydroxyzine HCL (a strong antihistamine) and uses Triamcinolone (an ointment) when the rash is bad. Both are prescriptions. He also uses Eucerin body wash in the shower and Eucerin cream after the shower. When he had blisters on his back due to the rash, we put tea tree oil on them. I have also heard people say that pressing the itchy area up against a cold surface, stepping outside, standing in front of a fan, and putting ice on it helps.
Avatar n tn topical acyclovir is ineffective for genital herpes recurrences. it should never be prescribed because it basically wastes your money. Your provider needs to update their prescribing information and stop prescribing it to their patients.
Avatar f tn It has lasted for about 10 months and I take protopic and it seems to help and Triamcinolone works but as soon as I stop using them it comes back in just a couple days. I just want a cure for this because medications help but it just keeps coming back. As you can see, it is just a group of small bumps acne like, they are not painful and they just show up almost overnight and are somewhat bright red. They seem to stay under my mouth and chin area.
Avatar f tn Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics.
