Avatar f tn What does skin atrophy look like? I used a steroid cream Triamcinolone on my face months back. I used it periodically over the course of 3 to 4 months. Now my facial skin looks almost scarred. I can't quite tell if it is permanent scarring or atrophy. Can a steroid cream produce scarring? Is this reversible? How long does it usually take to reverse?

These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil) Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone. It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist.

Avatar m tn Over a year ago I had a bad groin itch which my dumb doctor gave me a topical cortico-steroid to apply directly to my testicles. I believe it was Triamcinolone Acetonide. Literally days later I developed a severe testicular pain and sexual dysfunction that is still present a year later. Doctors have not been able to find the cause of the pain and attribute it to psychological problems. I have also developed a severe sensitivity to glucose.
1292023 tn?1272203010 Hello, Your dermatologist has prescribed the correct treatment as triamcinolone is a topical steroid. But make sure to apply it only for the prescribed time as it is a topical high potency steroid and hence it may cause side effects if used for a long time. You can wear cotton gloves as they absorb sweating which exaggerates the condition. Since eczema is triggered by stress and other allergens, so your perming of the hair and the exposure to chemicals may be the causative factor in your case.

Triamcinolone can also cause telangiectasiae.

Avatar m tn I had a reoccurring fungal infection on the tip of my penis that I believe has been cured through oral fluconazole. Part of the treatment was Nystatin/Triamcinolone. For a time I also used Ciplopirox but it made the skin very waxy looking so I stopped that treatment. Now the underside of the Penis is pink in color and sex/rubbing in my underwear aggravates the condition, causing it to burn for a short period and get more red in color.

Avatar n tn A Dr could prescribe a more effective cream Nystatin and Triamcinolone Cream that could clear it up in day or two, or rule it out. I have redness and pain, though not balantitis. Do not overuse over counter or pres cream, heard can thin skin, so use caution do not use for many days.

Avatar m tn Today I noticed a dark pink spot about a 1/2 CM wide on the inside of my foreskin when it's pulled back. So, it's not on the tip of my penis, but rather on the shaft. Its about a 1 CM away from the head of my penis. It looks flush with the skin. It does not burn, itch, sting, or anything. No discomfort feeling whatsoever. I did, however, start to experience a slight itch on my anus. I did receive unprotected oral sex about 2 weeks ago.

Atopica is intended for in dogs with atopic dermatitis, so I don't know how this would be helpful to your cat and could be harmful since I don't think there have been any studies does regarding it's safety for cats.

Then I went to a gynecologist who told me my discharge was normal and that the itching is just irritation from everything I have been using.
