ve never been diagnosed. She also prescribed me a cream called Triamcinolone Acetonide, and it does help, but very little. What is this? When will it go away?
I've never had a rash nor an allergic reaction in my life but about 4 days ago I started noticing my right armpit was becoming irritated. About 3 days ago I noticed it getting red and rashy looking. The rash is near where the pectorial and arm meet and it's got small red bumps inside the rash area.

I cannot confirm anything witout examination but since the rash is in one dermatome,the first possibility is of shingles. Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the chicken pox virus and attack a particular nerve branch in your spine. They always affect only one side of the body (left or right) and never cross the midline. It may thus appear as a band around one side of the chest or abdomen, or down an arm or leg.
Saw my urologist and he agreed it looked like could have been a balinitis from yeast. He prescribed nystatin/triamcinolone and no help and maybe a little worse after 4 days so stopped that. Needless to say now it is 3 1/2 months and I have been through Nystatin, econazole, triamcinolone, cutivate, biafine, Valtrex (7 days in middle December for Shingles) and Elidel and none seem to make it resolve.
Iam so tired of a rash that keeps coming up, it will clear up then a few days later come back.. My dr has put me on triamcinolone 1% cream. Iam a very clean person and this rash keeps showing up under my armpit and right below.. any suggestion. While i use the cream it will clear up then come back if i stop.. Iam so discourage from this. Any advice might help...
I started putting a steroidal cream, Triamcinolone Acetonide on my neck immediately and it helped. When the rash developed on my bellybutton I scheduled an appointment with my allergy/immunologist doctor. It was a Friday, so I had to wait until Monday. Over the weekend, the belly area got worse and blistered badly. When I went to my doctor, he wasn't sure what it was (shingles, herpes simplex or herpes genital). He prescribed Zovirax cream and ran a blood test.
I got shingles on May 1 and the constipation began immediately, although I didn't get the sores around the abdomen and back until a week later. I had pain in my side which the Dr. thought was kidney stones, and sent me for a scan. Nothing, then the sores started coming out, after about a week. I had bloating and occasional sharp pain in the stomach. I developed a lump on my side, which seems to be my intestine bulging out, probably from the constipation.
Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.

Decadron® (dexamethasone) 4 mg is not the therapeutic equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg. Using the Lexi-Calc corticosteroid conversion formula, the ratio of the 2 would be close to 5:1. So it would take Decadron® (dexamethasone) 16 mg to be approximately the equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg.
I'm 19 years old. I've had 3 ringworm outbreaks in less than a year, but I'm still not sure if it's ringworm. It always starts out with 1, 2, or 3 small red bumps. All the bumps have a white head and can be ruptured. If i scratch it or rupture the bumps by applying cream, it spreads. It is itchy, but only sometimes. But it never forms a circle. The bumps itself is in a circular form, but it is just a cluster of small raised bumps, not a ring with a clear center.
prescribed Fluocinonide cream usp 0.05 by TARO, I also have on hand Triamcinolone Acetonide cream usp 0.1. Are they interchangeable The rash is getting larger and itches as it grows.

It has been like this for maybe 4mths and was probably caused by not using a condom.
In the past i treated it with Canestan cream and it stopped it drying out but was occasionally itchy.
It never quit so i saw a doctor who put me on some tablets (sorry don't have name) and i had to apply triamcinolone acetonide lotion twice a day after showering.
I saw my Urologist and he felt that the pattern could fit a yeast infection where it was and switched me to a Nystatin/triamcinolone ointment. After 3 days it seemed a little more red and my derm put me on straight Nystatin with no success. Since then I have been on Biafine, Clobex, and Elidel with little help. A second Dermatologist told me it was mild when I was on the Biafine and told me to try stopping. When I was off all meds, it did seem to get better, but has not fully gone away.
I have some itch, is Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1% a good cream for this? Are there any side effects to this cream?
I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin.
I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
What does skin atrophy look like? I used a steroid cream Triamcinolone on my face months back. I used it periodically over the course of 3 to 4 months. Now my facial skin looks almost scarred. I can't quite tell if it is permanent scarring or atrophy. Can a steroid cream produce scarring? Is this reversible? How long does it usually take to reverse?
I used some gloves (Nitrile Exam Gloves) and i had a bad irritation because of that. I stoped used the gloves anymore and I went to the doctor. He gaved me NYSTATIN and TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE OINTMENT USP. It worked for a couple of days but then the ointment was gone , and i had no more refill. After only one day, the irritation started again. I went to the doctor again and he gaved me TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE CREAM USP, 0.1%.
5%w/v, Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1%w/v, Chlorhexidine HCl 0.5%w/v. The Muco-Aid is a bottle of liquid lotion, which weigh around 8g. I actually used few times in the window period of 12 weeks. Probably few days before testing too, even a day before testing. I cannot remember the exactly when did I put the lotion in my mouth for ulcers.
I have read somewhere that steroid might delay antibodies production of HIV making the test result not accurate. In this case is Triamcinolone Acetonide.
Around ten days after my IGM results i developed a rash on my back and went to the doctor and he diagnosed me with shingles and gave me famcyclovir. i waited eighty days after my possible exposure at the gentlemans club and took an Herpes immunoassay gG2 test for herpes 2 and it came back negative. My question is could the famcyclovir that i took 6 1/2 weeks before my herpes 2 test have effected my test results where i could have got false negative or it wouldnt have effected my antibodies ?
As I had previously experience of psoriasis, I thought I may help it with triamcinolone cream. After using triamcinolone, I didn't have the itch but once I stopped using it, the itch would come back.
I injected triamcinolone (1/2 ml in two points) under skin (1-2 mm depth). The itch went but the area remained little red for about 2 weeks. Then the area turned into whiter or brighter (which was visible only in sunlight).
I have Triamcinolone Eucerin Cream. I need to be able to wash it off my hands. Does anyone know what makes it salulable? What kind of soap?
