Hives all over. I'm allergic to the triamcinolone right? But ya know, she had the nerve to tell me I may have been allergic to the needle! The metal! What?? So I just want to know how serious this is. This one website says that hives are a serious side effect for which I should seek emergency medical help. But right now I'm just taking some benedryl and hoping it goes away like last time (and I think it is...) But how serious is an allergic reaction to triamcinolone?
I noticed a red inflammed rash in my right armpit that looked more as if the skin had peeled off. Rotted white hanging skin surrounding the area. I saw a dermatologist. He said it was a fungal/yeast infection and mostly occured from the long term antibiotic usage. The dermatologist at the time prescribed me Nyzoral cream. At this time I also noticed a rash/peeling in the folds of the skin between my legs. I applied the Nyzoral to this area and my armpit for over a week and saw no difference.
Hello, Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions and has been reported as better as compared to Fluocinonide. Side effects like hair loss, burning and skin blisters are common after using fluocinonide. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
I have this rash at the creases of my legs and underneth my breast. My sister gave me a cream to use and it works as long as I continue to use it daily. Its called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1%. Is there anything OTC that is the same or close to it?
I get a rash from the riba, which I have heard is common. The rash is isolated to my shins. I first found that swimming in salt water helped, which around here is limited to two months, otherwise I use aloe to keep the skin moist, sunburn spray (with aloe and lidocaine) for when it itches and a Rx cream from the doc which is Triamcinolone asetonide. I have also used Aveeno lotion in the past. Good luck, hope this helps.
I have a weird rash on my entire body. They're aggravated, anywhere from slightly red, to looks-like-I'm-about-to-bleed red, They're all slightly raised bumps, and range in size between the tip of a pencil to the tip of a used crayon. I thought at first it was an allergic reaction, but it's been over a week, and the rash is spreading. My doctor says it may be a form of Rosacea, but I've never been diagnosed.
Iam so tired of a rash that keeps coming up, it will clear up then a few days later come back.. My dr has put me on triamcinolone 1% cream. Iam a very clean person and this rash keeps showing up under my armpit and right below.. any suggestion. While i use the cream it will clear up then come back if i stop.. Iam so discourage from this. Any advice might help...
I'm calling it a rash, but I don't really know what it is. I took a picture of it and downloaded it as my profile picture. It itches and is a redish color. I have had it for a couple months and it hasn't gone away. I have been using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream from someone, but it hasn't helped. I don't have any money to see a doctor so any help would be great.
Severe itching, redness, welts, blisters. Rash moves around body. Prescribed Hydroxyzine HCL 25 mg 1-2 tab every 6 hrs and Triamcinolone 0.025% OINT twice per day as needed. Use Eucerin cream.
Sorry - I have it as well - I lotion up 3 times a day with st. ives collegen-elasatine or Aveno - do the oatmeal baths and add johoba oil to the bath - this really help) I also add it to my lotions. This seems weird but works for me. The sores that itch I put a thick layer of tinted clearasil and cover with a flexible bandaide for days at a time.
My husband takes Hydroxyzine HCL (a strong antihistamine) and uses Triamcinolone (an ointment) when the rash is bad. Both are prescriptions. He also uses Eucerin body wash in the shower and Eucerin cream after the shower. When he had blisters on his back due to the rash, we put tea tree oil on them. I have also heard people say that pressing the itchy area up against a cold surface, stepping outside, standing in front of a fan, and putting ice on it helps.
I agree with Pooh, Dee, and Patches, I would call your doctor's office and ask to be seen or ask for a referral to a dermatologist. During treatment, my husband took Atarax and used Triamcinolone ointment for the rash. His doc also suggested Eucerin cream and Eucerin body wash, to keep the skin moisturized. We used tea tree oil on the few blisters that formed. Sometimes he put ice on areas that were really bothering him, or stood outside without a shirt on at night.
But now, he says it doesn't hurt, doesn't itch, and there is tighten of the skin around the rash. The Circle rash looks like he's been burn with a quarter that had been laid out in the sun for a very long time. The rash is tight, red , and has hard blisters around the edge that looks like it won't pop. I thought he may have been bitten by some kind of bug or spider while he was sleeping.
My husband used Eucerin body wash in the shower, Eucerin cream after the shower, and tea tree oil on blisters. He took Hydroxyzine and also had a prescription for Triamcinolone ointment. The Incivek rash began about mid way through week 2 and lasted until the end of the 12 weeks on Incivek. When he finished Incivek, it gradually improved, although he had some strange skin tingles and rash-like problems for awhile still.
I read the sx's of Prevacid, and it states rash as possible sx. I stop using it yesterday, but the rash does seem to be spreading. What remedies you all have for it? What has your Dr's Rx'ed you for rash, and does it go away? Currently I have been putting Caladryl on it, and witch hazel.
Hello, the rash is gone now and I do not have eczema.
and has already gotten a rash. The doc has told her to not wash with soap unless she has to, to avoid direct sunlight (near impossible she lives in AZ) and to use lotion three times a day. The doc has called his pharmacy to have them mix something for the rash (unsure what he didnt tell my mom whats in it it's something they mix special for the rash associated with the incivek treatment) Which she will have sometimes tomorrow.
Well i used to have a rash on the shaft of my penis, its itched, my doctor prescribed Clotrimazole to stop the itch and Nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide to make the rash go away because it wouldnt. Anyway, now it is back, but this time its on my penis head, it doesnt itch, it only makes the skin hard and kinda bumpy, its also rises a little Nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide helps make it go away, but it comes back, i believe it might be the lotion i use.
I have a butt-crack rash that won't go away, I thought it was heat rash from working out, it's been a month now. I have tried Aveeno diaper rash cream, Bacitracin, and Triamcinolone{Acetonide Cream}. Other than go see a dermatologist-what can you suggest?
There is currently no known cure for keratosis pilaris, however, there are effective treatments available which make its symptoms less apparent. Treatment includes tretinoin or Triamcinolone cream or Adapalene, a retinoid medication. Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin.
for almost a year now I have suffered with a rash all over the trunk of my body which is now spreading to my upper legs and arms. I had a biopsy done of one of the hives and it came back as an unidentified dermatitis. the have given me fexofenadine and triamcinolone aoetonide cream but its still driving me nutty. i cant sleep and I itch all the time. What can be done about this?
The visible manifestations come and go, and I am able to knock them back with ointments - I have used hydrocortisone 2.5% and triamcinolone .1%. This may be coincidence but this rash began after I unsuccessfully popped a pimple under my upper arm. That spot remained dry, hardish and itchy for about three months, while simultaneously I developed this rash. Could that pimple have been the pathway for my problem? I am willing to live with this, but want to be sure it is not something bad.
Hi. Would you be able to provide an image? At this point, a reddish rash which involves the extremities in children suggest a likely eczematous or dermatitic condition. You have mentioned of itchiness and redness which are characteristics of both a fungal infection and a dermatitis. Is there any associated decrease in appetite or activity? Any changes in the rash eg discoloration, crusting, scaling ? Is there any strong history of allergies or asthma in your family?
I have taken a bath in neem oil and made a lotion with neem oil in it and this takes the itch down quickly, as does triamcinolone cream, a steroid. The rash appears mostly on my lower arms, upper chest, and under my breasts and next to them. At times, my abdomen has itched intensely, too. My physician, along with a naturopathic physician, have no idea what it is. Any takes?? Thanks in advance for any and all help!!
My doctor diagnosed it as a yeast infection similar to jock itch. i was given nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide cream to use. It keeps the rash from getting worse but it has not gone away. my underwear causes irritation. No weeping at the site either and no odor. I do not think it is yeast but do not know what it is. Whay do you think?
If the eczema is especially severe, a doctor may prescribe prednisone or administer a shot of cortisone or triamcinolone If the eczema is mild, over-the-counter hydrocortisone can be purchased at the local drugstore. If complications include infections (often of Staphylococcus aureus), antibiotics may be employed. The immunosuppressant Tacrolimus or pimecrolimus can be used as a topical preparation in the treatment of severe atopic dermatitis instead of traditional steroid creams.
Hi, in 2005 I switched from roll on deodorant to spray on deodorant and I got a rash in my armpit that itches so bad I HAVE to scratch it and it gets all red and stinky and I can litterly pull my underarm hair out by the clump with just a little tug and the only thing that with make it go away is spraying on some tinactin.
She quickly said ezema and put me on triamcinolone ointment. The rash did not improve. I returned last week and she still is saying ezema but this time did not give me anything else to try. She just seemed to dismiss it. I would say it has not improved at all and the areas that I have it has grown larger but not by much. My husband does not show any signs of a rash. We do not have any pets. Any ideas?
I went to see my dr. on Monday and she prescribed an oral cream triamcinolone acetonide but again to no avail, the rashes continues. My rashes on my arms are clustered in patches that looks blistery and it was feeling really painful due to the swelling. I contacted my dr. again and she then prescribed me10 mg prednisone and today is the second day I took it. The swelling has helped a bit but the itchiness continues.
I've had a bad rash for over a month. It itches, burn, and is painful. I've been to the doctor twice. The first time he put me on Clotrimazole and Betamethasone. It didn't go away only worsened. The second time he put me on Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. The first night I thought it was better, but to no avail. Still red as fire, burning, itching and it looks like little blisters all over the outside. Help! What's next????
