Common Questions and Answers about Triamcinolone for ringworm

When i put Lotrimin on it, it stops growing and does eventually dry up but even though i used it for a while even after the ringworm cleared, i found another ringworm 5 months later (today). I'm really frustrated. My sister told me to use Triamcinolone acetonide for this new ringworm and the ointment is anti bacterial and not anti fungal. I'm a little skeptical to use it (i have seen pictures of numular eczema though and what i have does look like it once it spreads a little more).
I went to a Docter and he said it was a fungus known as Ringworm. He prescribed me DOXYCYCLINE for the burning feeling and NYSTATIN/TRIAMCINOLONE CREAM to apply to the head of the penis. After about 5-6 weeks the redness went away and the burning seemed to be non existent.
Get checked out for Lyme disease. Ringworm doesn't "come and go". It itches and when you scratch the ringworm and then another spot on the body, you get one there, too, until it is just all over the body. If your 'spot" is a pimple or red center with another "ring" around it, that can be lyme disease. Lyme can cause all of the symptoms you list.
He has to stay on the antibiotic just incase they start to see something grow but so far it's not ringworm. That's good cause ringworm is gross but now he has to see a dermatologist. Aaaaauuuugggghhhh! He has so much stuff going on. He has really bad allergies, they've gotten so bad this year that I have to keep him inside for a week for his rash and red eyes to go away. He has problems with his teeth and is getting his second surgery on the second, he has respiratory problems.
I have took her to the doctor four times and each time they tell me something different, like a allergic raction, ringworm, yeast infection, and that her skin held to much bacteria. I have been using the medicine clotrimazole cream 1% and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream that was prescribed to her, but nothing is working. Please help me in any way you can.
Another think which is, what if it's not what do you think doctor? Can it be a ringworm and resesting cuz i'ts very similar to Ringworm picures in the internet? Indeed, next week i have appoinment with a Dermatologist but i'm too stressed and can't waite.
He has been treated for everything from ringworm to scabies. Many trips to doctors and have tried every cream, ointment and everything from oatmeal to clear finger nail polish. We are at our wits end. Please advise me on what to do. Thanks. This discussion is related to rash on entire body.
I brought him to the doctors on Monday morn where the gave him triamcinolon 0.1% cre and cephalexin 250/5ml sus. I brought him back 2 days latter because I seen no improvement than they told me not to put the ouintment on anymore but continue the antibiotic. Well today is Saturday 5 days into the antibotic and is not improving. The rash is not bothering him and is not itching it. We do not have this so I'm not thinking its contagious.
for about 4 months now, ive had this rash on and between my knuckles, which first started off as red and later weeks deepened to purple, kind of ashy, i went to doctor 3 times and was told it was only ringworm, i was prescribed nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide, which is supposed to cure it. but it only helps for the pain, 4 months now and i use the cream prescribed everyday because it helps with the itchiness and pain, it has not gotten any better. anyone know what else this might be?
I went to my doctor and I was told that it was a fungus. I was given a cream called Nystatin and Triamcinolone. I have used it for almost three weeks now and the spots are still there and new ones keep appearing in the same areas. They itch here and there and they get red after I get out of the shower. The spots are circular and oblong and as said slightly raised. How long does it take for this cream to work? Additionally, does this cream have any affect on a womans menstral cycle?
We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice???? He also has a history of lymes disease a few years ago..any possible connection?????
If the eczema is especially severe, a doctor may prescribe prednisone or administer a shot of cortisone or triamcinolone If the eczema is mild, over-the-counter hydrocortisone can be purchased at the local drugstore. If complications include infections (often of Staphylococcus aureus), antibiotics may be employed. The immunosuppressant Tacrolimus or pimecrolimus can be used as a topical preparation in the treatment of severe atopic dermatitis instead of traditional steroid creams.
I went to see a nurse practitioner at CVS and she told me it was ringworm and prescribed some cream that was over $100 so I used over the counter products. After 2 weeks of minimal results I went to see another doctor and he thought it was a fungus as well and said it was severe and referred me to a dermatologist and come to find out it was hives! He prescribed me triamcinolone cream along with hydroxzine HCL 25mg tablets.
didn't know what was wrong with me. He thought it could be ringworm considering my medical history (I'll explain later). I feel it might be eczema or even shingles. I've had ringworm before and it wasn't anything like this. What started out as 8-10 itchy bumps has covered my entire thumb between the middle and bottom joint. It has even started wrapping around the inside and is almost entirely connected in a full circle. This is week 5 and it has passed my bottom joint. It is so itchy. The Dr.
I had a bunch in the crook of my left elbow and all over my lower legs. I swore it looked like ringworm! So while googling ringworm images to compare my spots to pics of ringworm, I see that psoriasis looks the same. I start researching psoriasis... Damned if I don't have several symptoms of psoriasis. The ends of my fingers have had a buildup of excess skin for years. I have patches of rough skin on my elbows that never go away, no matter how much moisturizer I use.
my husband has a rash that started with little red bumps, and are very ichy it started under his arm below his arm pit it but it is not under his arm pit. It traveled to his waist to groin to upper back now on butt and going down to his khalves. First Dr. gave prednisone tablets and cream Mystatin &Triamcinolone Acetonide .It keeps traveling. went to Dermatologist she said she don't know what it is but she doesnt think it is internal. She gave him clobetasol Propionate cream usp, 5%.
I am also been on triamcinolone 1% ointment on my hand since I was 12 years old that I use for eczema on fingers. Symptoms improve slightly and do not go away fully but it gets embarrasing to go to doctor again. 1 year after encounter I have nonstop bleeding, turns out to be ectopic pregnancy with iud perfectly in place still. I have the iud removed but ectopic was not detected until after it burst the fallopian tube, fallopian tube removed. Still keep having mild symptoms 2 years later.
I noticed a couple of places on my arm that have a pronounced ring and depressed white area in the center--so now I'm thinking ringworm. (TOO)I have some econizole and am dotting it on just those areas that look like rings forming. I have a call back in to the derm to see if this is OK to do- but I googled it and that's what it's for. I already had it for tinea versicolor. ITCHING--- OMG this is SOOOO bad it's driving me crazy. IS THIS NORMAL FOR RIBA RASH?????????????????????????????????????
It may have started with a child where I contacted him and got ringworm. I don't think I ever got it cured. Anyway, my skin now feels like it pinches me slightly. I get this all over my body parts. Sometimes I'll itch these areas and it seems like i can pick up a little ball of skin that appears somewhat hard (a grain of salt, although too hard, is a good comparison). Any clues?
All I know is this rash is interfering with my life and every nurse and doctor I have spoken with has no idea what it is and I have even been told it is ringworm. I know what ringworm is and what I have is not that. I feel very strongly that is these VS bras. Please help.
When I was just using Hydroxyzine without the Doxepin I was using Fluocinonide ointment too (which is a stronger ointment than Triamcinolon). I also have a presctiption for Clobetasol ointment which is supposed to be even stronger than Fluocinonide, but I haven't had the need to take it. The only downside to the Hydroxyzine/Doxepin mix is that it makes you tired.
She told me that I have atopic dermatitis and gave me Triamcinolone cream to try for three weeks to try to stop the itch/scratch cycle. The cream does not work and as I tried to explain to her, it is not skin related, it is internal. I do beleive that it has something to do with histamines and blood flow, but I think there must be a cure.
I did the ketaconazole shampoo and cream too, but it's not a fungus. That's what ketaconozole is for..... things like ringworm. They cleared because I did the cleanse and the acidophilis. The brand I used was from a company called ReNew Life, and they have children cleanses also.... From my understanding, nothing cures it completely, but to cleanse every 6 months and take the acidophilus everyday does help to suppress the appearance.
He prescribed me w/ PERMETHRIN 5% which you apply all over the body and leave for 12 hours then repeat in 7 days. He also prescribed TRIAMCINOLONE 0.1% to apply twice a day to help w/ the itching until it goes away completely. Run to the dermatologist as fast as you can. The tea tree bath helps, scrubbing in the shower helps, but it doesn't kill these things.
I've had this same thing happen on and off for 6 or 7 years now. The first time it occurred, it affected my entire lower lip and the area below it, approaching my chin. It was horrifying. My skin was just peeling off in very thin layers and it seemed like it didn't have, I dunno, structural integrity or something. It was like pulling apart wet toilet paper or something. It's like I was falling apart. It felt strange when I'd touch the area , like there was plastic wrap over my skin.
2)nystatin/triamcinolone cream TID basically to cover all the baces, she gave me rx antibiotic cream to treat what might be growing in my skin, and the prednisone, in case it is an allergic thing. telling me she dnk what it is.
