Avatar f tn What does skin atrophy look like? I used a steroid cream Triamcinolone on my face months back. I used it periodically over the course of 3 to 4 months. Now my facial skin looks almost scarred. I can't quite tell if it is permanent scarring or atrophy. Can a steroid cream produce scarring? Is this reversible? How long does it usually take to reverse?
Avatar n tn 1%) cream and ointment (the cream was to be used once a day in the mornings, and the ointment was to be used once a day in the evenings). She instructed me to use the cream/ointment very sparingly, avoid getting or rubbing it into my eyes, and to only use for 14 days. After 14 days I am supposed to switch to an emollient. I am about a week into the treatment and the eczema is clearing up nicely. I was very careful not to get the cream or ointment into my eyes.
Avatar f tn t get diagnosed but by using the medication and seeing which ones helped to clear the rash, i decided it is ringworm. I used Triamcinolone acetonide on it for the first day. After I stopped, it grew twice as big. So you were right to say that the steroids would make ringworm worse. So after the first day I used lotrimin and it still grew. It's been four days of me putting it on the whole day and it's drying up.
Avatar m tn Hi. I m 30 year/man, currently use a cream triamcinolone acetonide cream recommended by my dermatologist for my dry skin of my penis and psoriasis. I've been using it long but not all day, but I really have not seen improvement in my skin from the penis. Also recently discovered that the cream has steroids, which I do not want to use it more. There any cream that you recommend and save for the penis?? Please help! I have a uncomfortable pain and I do not know what to do anymore.
Avatar f tn I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
Avatar f tn Hello, the left side of my scrotum itches, it's sometimes dry but mostly moist and it was shedding skin! Please help me! Thanks and also every night I have a stuck nose!

Avatar f tn Thank you for your feedback. I haven't used anything other than cerave moistuizing lotion and cream. I am swearing off all steroid based creams forever. I am really worried that I have done permanent damage. Do you think that the atrophy is reversable?
Avatar m tn I said in the last 2 weeks I had had sex once with an ex-gf, with a condom (about 4 days prior to symptoms) and used a hotel skin cream to masturbate while on a business trip. The doctor prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide. There is a lot of rash area on my penis, especially near the top of my penis (joining of the base to the head) and is very red with a burnt look to it (clear fluid covering burn area). I have taken some pictures to show but I don't think i'm allowed to post there.
Avatar m tn I have Triamcinolone Eucerin Cream. I need to be able to wash it off my hands. Does anyone know what makes it salulable? What kind of soap?
Avatar f tn I was quick to talk to my doctor and she prescribed me an anti itch cream that helped almost immediately. The rash was gone in about a week. The cream I used was called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream 0.1%. Maybe your doctor can prescribe it for you.
Avatar m tn I had a reoccurring fungal infection on the tip of my penis that I believe has been cured through oral fluconazole. Part of the treatment was Nystatin/Triamcinolone. For a time I also used Ciplopirox but it made the skin very waxy looking so I stopped that treatment. Now the underside of the Penis is pink in color and sex/rubbing in my underwear aggravates the condition, causing it to burn for a short period and get more red in color.
Avatar m tn My dermatologist has been unable to successfully treat it First possible diagnosis was possible soap or shaving cream allergy . I have used both a safet razor as well as electric shaver with the same results. I also tried hypoallergenic soap and shaving creams with no results. The second possible diagnosis was an allergy, this time treated by tapered prednisone tratmen for 12 days. The prednisone seemed to help but on the 10th day of tratment the itching returned.
Avatar m tn The rash was looking a bit different and they thought it was a fungal rash and perscribed atarax, clotrimazole cream usp, 1% and triamcinolone acetonide cream .01% I used that and put vasaline on top of it and it went away. About three weeks ago it came back the doctor told me it was contact dermatitis and perscribed triamcinolone acetonide .025% lotion it got worse. I am thinking it is a reaction to one of my medications geodon.
Avatar m tn ve used 2 antibiotics - levofloxacin and metronidazole, and an anti-inflammatory cream - the Methylprednisolone aceponate gel, and a cream that has an antifungal, antibiotic, and an anti-inflammatory in it. That's a lot. Has anyone actually tested you for anything?
Avatar f tn Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin. I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
Avatar f tn If it's approved for babies it's certainly not going to harm you. It might in fact help. Actually, any anti-bacterial cream would work as well. Scratching allows bacteria to attack your skin and if you stop them you'll heal pretty fast, as you noticed with your daughter. Try it, and good luck.
