Visual diagnosis 3 years ago as plaque psoriasis in the genital area and prescribed Triamcinolone cream 1%. When I felt itchy, I began using the cream immediately. Within a week to 2 weeks of using a small amount of the cream daily my skin healed. Unfortunately it would recur within about a month. Visited derm dr. recently and he diagnosed as herpes. I have not used the cream and have had a lot of pain and outbreak in the same 2 sites.
I have some itch, is Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1% a good cream for this? Are there any side effects to this cream?
I have Triamcinolone Eucerin Cream. I need to be able to wash it off my hands. Does anyone know what makes it salulable? What kind of soap?
What does skin atrophy look like? I used a steroid cream Triamcinolone on my face months back. I used it periodically over the course of 3 to 4 months. Now my facial skin looks almost scarred. I can't quite tell if it is permanent scarring or atrophy. Can a steroid cream produce scarring? Is this reversible? How long does it usually take to reverse?

After 1 week of using this, my hand looked a lot better, but I dont have cream anymore... and after 2 days the irritation has arrived again. I am really scared. What should i do? every time i wont put cream on my hand it will start the irritation again? its verry ithcy and it also hurts.

I've been using it long but not all day, but I really have not seen improvement in my skin from the penis. Also recently discovered that the cream has steroids, which I do not want to use it more. Using the Lexi-Calc corticosteroid conversion formula, the ratio of the 2 would be close to 5:1. So it would take Decadron® (dexamethasone) 16 mg to be approximately the equivalent of Kenalog® (triamcinolone acetonide) 80 mg.

I’ve had what appears to be balanitis for 8 months now. I’m uncircumcised. I’ve tried ketoconaznole, triamcinolone, hydrocortisone, nystatin& triamcinolone. Also used basic lotions etc. basically nothing has worked. The most recent dermatologist I saw said that I have balanitis that turned into dermal hyper sensitivity/ a sensitized skin. He prescribed desonide ointment that didn’t work and also prednisone. Gave me some epiceram cream as well.
so i called pharmacist and asked if nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream was ok to use and the pharmacist said yes.. so i used it for about three weeks and it still the same. what should i do?

I said in the last 2 weeks I had had sex once with an ex-gf, with a condom (about 4 days prior to symptoms) and used a hotel skin cream to masturbate while on a business trip. The doctor prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide.
There is a lot of rash area on my penis, especially near the top of my penis (joining of the base to the head) and is very red with a burnt look to it (clear fluid covering burn area). I have taken some pictures to show but I don't think i'm allowed to post there.
I was prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide cream when i found out that i had eczema. I used it like it said only putting it on my legs (where the majority of my eczema was at the time.) every other day. I only put on a very thin amount because thats what i was told. Soon after finishing my first container of the cream i started noticing my legs were starting to discolor some. Then all of a sudden i started getting thick dark stretch marks on the inner part of my legs.

The rash was looking a bit different and they thought it was a fungal rash and perscribed atarax, clotrimazole cream usp, 1% and triamcinolone acetonide cream .01% I used that and put vasaline on top of it and it went away. i put anti-fungal cream on it it didnt go away so i went to the doctors office in town, she said it didnt look like an std and she gave me nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream a few days later it hadnt let up so i went to the health department to get checked. the doctor that looks at all the stds there said she didnt think it was and std.
They prescribed me permethrin cream and is safe for pregnancy. Other dr prescribed me triamcinolone acetonide and hydroxyzine hcl. Are those two safe for pregnancy? I mean I look it up and some say it not safe for pregnancy.
From your diagnosis it appears as if the most logical diagnosis is a form of eczema called contact dermatitis, probably in response to the Triamcinolone part of the cream. I think that I am going to try applying Hydrocortisone and see where that gets me for the next few days.
I was quick to talk to my doctor and she prescribed me an anti itch cream that helped almost immediately. The rash was gone in about a week. The cream I used was called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream 0.1%. Maybe your doctor can prescribe it for you.
Don't use Triamcinolone anymore if you can help it as overuse can cause real problems. We read about it here all the time because it can thin the skin.
I would try Psoriaflora cream or clear 100% aloe vera.
