Triamcinolone and ringworm

Common Questions and Answers about Triamcinolone and ringworm

My sister told me to use Triamcinolone acetonide for this new ringworm and the ointment is anti bacterial and not anti fungal. I'm a little skeptical to use it (i have seen pictures of numular eczema though and what i have does look like it once it spreads a little more). My doctor is far away so i haven't been to the doctor. Also, when the ringworm dries it gets darker and dry, and leaves a scar. I've had it on my lower back, lower stomach, and now right above my armpits.
I waiting to see if it would go away by itself and it did but then I had a burning feeling after urinating and felt like I had to urinate again and again and only very little would actually come out. Then the redness came back and looked as if it was dry and chapped. I went to a Docter and he said it was a fungus known as Ringworm. He prescribed me DOXYCYCLINE for the burning feeling and NYSTATIN/TRIAMCINOLONE CREAM to apply to the head of the penis.
Ringworm is a fungus similiar to athletes foot. It is contracted via physical or indirect contact with another ringworm site. Birds and cats carry ringworm and are the most "popular" carriers. Symptoms are restricted to the skin and cause an itchy red ring that when scratched gets worse and more itchy. It is irritating and will drive you crazy and often people scratch off the skin leaving themselves open to infection, but it is not considered a life threatening problem.
We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice???? He also has a history of lymes disease a few years ago..any possible connection?????
i have a ringworm shaped rash on my right aerola that appeared a week ago and started as a red small dot like a mosquito bite yesterday it only was on the outside edges of my aerola. now it is shaped like a ringworm!!. should I be thinking cancer??? or a type of fungus and any suggestions of ointment I can use? I have a 2yr old rx of triamcinolone acetonide . .
He has to stay on the antibiotic just incase they start to see something grow but so far it's not ringworm. That's good cause ringworm is gross but now he has to see a dermatologist. Aaaaauuuugggghhhh! He has so much stuff going on. He has really bad allergies, they've gotten so bad this year that I have to keep him inside for a week for his rash and red eyes to go away. He has problems with his teeth and is getting his second surgery on the second, he has respiratory problems.
That's what ketaconozole is for..... things like ringworm. They cleared because I did the cleanse and the acidophilis. The brand I used was from a company called ReNew Life, and they have children cleanses also.... From my understanding, nothing cures it completely, but to cleanse every 6 months and take the acidophilus everyday does help to suppress the appearance. For the past 4 months, it does not scale up anymore, and my back looks much better.
He has been treated for everything from ringworm to scabies. Many trips to doctors and have tried every cream, ointment and everything from oatmeal to clear finger nail polish. We are at our wits end. Please advise me on what to do. Thanks. This discussion is related to rash on entire body.
I have took her to the doctor four times and each time they tell me something different, like a allergic raction, ringworm, yeast infection, and that her skin held to much bacteria. I have been using the medicine clotrimazole cream 1% and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream that was prescribed to her, but nothing is working. Please help me in any way you can.
Another think which is, what if it's not what do you think doctor? Can it be a ringworm and resesting cuz i'ts very similar to Ringworm picures in the internet? Indeed, next week i have appoinment with a Dermatologist but i'm too stressed and can't waite.
They itch here and there and they get red after I get out of the shower. The spots are circular and oblong and as said slightly raised. How long does it take for this cream to work? Additionally, does this cream have any affect on a womans menstral cycle? I missed my period this month. I know that I am not pregnant and I was curious to know if the medication is absorbed into your system through your skin.
for about 4 months now, ive had this rash on and between my knuckles, which first started off as red and later weeks deepened to purple, kind of ashy, i went to doctor 3 times and was told it was only ringworm, i was prescribed nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide, which is supposed to cure it. but it only helps for the pain, 4 months now and i use the cream prescribed everyday because it helps with the itchiness and pain, it has not gotten any better. anyone know what else this might be?
hi for about a month now ive had this circle patch about an inch wide and it only itches if i touch it and if i do i cant stop itching it...its on my biscep and its dry but doesnt peal or anything, its just there...its dark brown but i dont know if thats just because im black...it just showed up out of nowhere...and today i found a dry patch on my left breast is about 1/4 inch...so now im worried what this could be...i also got a new puppy, i was wondering if he had anything to do with that...
He thought it could be ringworm considering my medical history (I'll explain later). I feel it might be eczema or even shingles. I've had ringworm before and it wasn't anything like this. What started out as 8-10 itchy bumps has covered my entire thumb between the middle and bottom joint. It has even started wrapping around the inside and is almost entirely connected in a full circle. This is week 5 and it has passed my bottom joint. It is so itchy. The Dr.
After about a month, it began to grow and look like a ringworm. By the third month, little red bumps started spreading all over my stomach, back, legs, and arms....they eventually grown and turn into rashes. They itch like crazy, especially when I'm exposed to heat. I've been having troubles sleeping because when I try to lay still, I start itching....
The rash spread to the back of my legs, underneath my arms/ armpits, pretty much everywhere! I went to see a nurse practitioner at CVS and she told me it was ringworm and prescribed some cream that was over $100 so I used over the counter products. After 2 weeks of minimal results I went to see another doctor and he thought it was a fungus as well and said it was severe and referred me to a dermatologist and come to find out it was hives!
I had a bunch in the crook of my left elbow and all over my lower legs. I swore it looked like ringworm! So while googling ringworm images to compare my spots to pics of ringworm, I see that psoriasis looks the same. I start researching psoriasis... Damned if I don't have several symptoms of psoriasis. The ends of my fingers have had a buildup of excess skin for years. I have patches of rough skin on my elbows that never go away, no matter how much moisturizer I use.
I also moved my hand in the dark and felt wetness and the person stated that it was pre-ejaculate (he had unzipped and exposed himself without me noticing). I was very angry after this exposure and ended the date. My concern for this encounter was the fact that I had open cuts on my fingers on the hand that was exposed to his bodily fluids due to eczema and of course the hand to genital contact and possible transmission of his bodily fluids to that area.
It may have started with a child where I contacted him and got ringworm. I don't think I ever got it cured. Anyway, my skin now feels like it pinches me slightly. I get this all over my body parts. Sometimes I'll itch these areas and it seems like i can pick up a little ball of skin that appears somewhat hard (a grain of salt, although too hard, is a good comparison). Any clues?
Well I went to a different dermatoligist a real one who deals with skin problem and not just laser stuff and botox. What a difference!! Scalp--- She said my scalp was infected and gave me some antibiotics for that (bactrim). She also gave some samples of stuff for scalp that really worked in less than two days. It's called "DermaSmoothe".
All I know is this rash is interfering with my life and every nurse and doctor I have spoken with has no idea what it is and I have even been told it is ringworm. I know what ringworm is and what I have is not that. I feel very strongly that is these VS bras. Please help.
Shamefully, for almost 8 years I have been getting very small itchy blisters on various spots on my arms and legs. The small blisters develop and immediately itch intensely, which is how I know they're there. They have a clear fluid inside, with no puss. When I scratch them in my sleep or when they break, they often weep a little amber colored liquid. Also, when I scratch them, more tiny blisters will develop around the original blister, signifying an infection.
ive researched it but cant seem to figure out what it is and now im worried becouse it seems to be spreading but only on the skin in and around my tattoo. these spots look like if you had a mosquito bite that you never stopped scratching. my skin around it seems to feel a little thicker and kind of numb. they are flat and not bumpy. anyone have anything like this or any idea about it.
I have practiced medicine since 2001 in all types of surgery including general and vascular. I have the itchy leg thing after showers and at night and worse in winter and I can tell you what it is... This is primarily related to vasodilation of the superficial vessels(near the skin in common terms). Yes prostacyclin induced histamine release may play a role but to speak plainly...
Here is the condition, it only happens when I am in a certain area and sweat a lot. I only get it when I go over to my grandmother's house and where I train. I am allergic to something there. When I left for a while, it was gone and didn't come back until I went back to her house. So try getting out of that particualr area. High amounts of dust, feather pillows, or even environmental.
also there is a bump on the edge of my penis head that had peeled and gone away for a few days and re-appeared in the exact same spot which seems to have formed as a bump/scar(not as itchy)... ...i have very itchy bumps on my inner thighs and butt cheeks that seem to be getting worse. I also notice very very very very small blister type bumps on my fingers that i have popped and released some sort of fluid.. the bumps on my penis/butt/thighs do not seem to have any fluid in them..
I have not worn make up today and have only applied vaseline and aqeous cream. I haven't changed any toileteries or make up in the last 2 months. I am not sure what it could be? I don't think it is eczema, but believe it could be an allergic reaction to something. I can't seem to work out what it could be? Could it be an allergic reaction to something i am using around the eye or a food product? Please help me.
for the past week or so I have had sporadic runny nose / sneezing (bouts last about a half hour, much like allergic reaction) and my right tonsil has been a bit sore and firm. I am breastfeeding and my baby likes to touch my lips while nursing. Sometimes baby has a rough or jagged fingernail; I think baby may have irritated my skin and maybe introduced an infection. My sleeping is irregular but I usually get at least 6 hours per night.
they used to tell me i had ringworm and then changed it to a mild form of eczema. i used to have a rash in the crevice on both sides of my nostrils and in my groin area when i was younger but i havent had a problem with that for a long time, but i do still have a problem with moderately itchy bumps that form on my scalp, usually in the very back of the scalp and sometimes they have a pus and sometimes they dont. those come and go.
I itch until I want to scream! I went to the DR. and he said it was Ecezema and prescribed me Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment and it did not work. I went to WalmART and got AVEENA Calamine & Pramoxine Anti-Itch Cream. to my relief it worked and OMG I can finally relax for a min until another breakout. I also got the AVEENA bath crystals. Which has Colloidial Oatmeal. I am relieved for these products. Soak in the bath water with this product and the welts and itchyness will be relieved.
