Avatar f tn Here is the comparison between Sprintec vs. Tri-Sprintec. Yes, Sprintec contains the same level of hormones as in the third week of the Tri Sprintec (Day 15-21). Sprintec has the same amount of hormones for the 3 weeks of active pills, while the Tri-Sprintec increases in norgestimate each week. Sprintec®: Day 1-21: Ethinyl estradiol 0.035 mg and norgestimate 0.25 mg (28s) [21 blue tablets] Day 22-28: 7 white inactive tablets (28s) Tri-Sprintec®: Day 1-7: Ethinyl estradiol 0.

Please help...

Avatar n tn Hello, if a person takes their birth control (Tri Sprintec) every night at 9pm, but forgets to take it at 9pm one night and has sex from 930pm to 1030pm, and then remembers to take it again at 12 midnight (3 hours late), is there a chance for pregnancy?
Avatar m tn Yesterday my dermatologist prescribed me 25mg Spironolactone 2xD and Tri-Sprintec BCP to help clear my skin up. I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body. I know that birth control pills increase estrogen levels in the body and that spironolactone is an antiandrogen drug, and naturally the body will replace androgens with estrogen.
Avatar m tn I just started taking this bc Tri-sprintec and im on day 3 I woke up and i seem to be extremely tiered. Is this caused by the bc? I have no energy to do anything.
Avatar f tn I am concerned about my late period. I have been on Tri-Sprintec for quite a few months now. I'm currently on my last week taking the inactive white pills. So far I took about 4 of these pills and haven't gotten my period yet. Last month, I was under a lot of stress and I got it twice in that month. Other than that month, my period seemed to come on time with the pills. I am concerned about this. When would I need to take a pregnancy test and how long should I wait to see a gyny?
Avatar n tn I have been on tri-sprintec for 2 months. This sunday i will be starting my third pack of pills. So right now I'm on the sugar pills and this will be my third day taking them. I haven't started my period yet. My boyfriend and I just had sex last week and we used a condom a couple times but we also didn't use one. He pulled out every time even when we used a condom. Could i be pregnant or do you think i'll start my period soon?
Avatar n tn I got my blood test done and pregnancy test done and everything came out good but got prescribed metformin, progesterone, and 3 month supply of Tri-Sprintec for a regulation of my period. I am on week 3 on my first pack of birth control as i already finished the 12 prescribed progesterone pills that i had to take and still on my supply on metformin. Now my question here is, my husband and want to get pregnant what should i do?
Avatar f tn I had sex several times in the last two weeks. I am on the pill Tri-sprintec, but I did miss a few pills at the beginning of this month. I haven't tested yet because I think it is still too early. What do you think?
Avatar f tn I was on Ortho Tri for nine years, no problems. After switching to sprintec, the pills no longer worked. I was having periods while on the active pills and my vulva became dry and irritated (like a knife stabbing it). I can't get the pain to go away. Anyone else with this problem?
Avatar f tn The birth control pill I take is Tri-Sprintec (28 day pill) and it has been consistent with my menstrual cycle, but I'm not sure if that means it will be effective on pregnancies as well. I take my pill consistently at the same time, every day. So am I pregnant?!
Avatar f tn I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-all-Sprintec pills. I’ve been on them for about 5 months or so. My boyfriend and I haven’t been using other protection besides my pills. I went on vacation recently and on July 4 I completely missed my pill. I didn’t take that pill until today (July 16). On July 5 we had unprotected sex. I was half a day late taking it on July 8 and we had unprotected sex twice the following day. Starting July 14 I started getting brown discharge. No odor at all.
Avatar f tn Been on tri sprintec a yr now. i miss 2 pills week 1 and week 2 but not in a row. That was 4 pills missed there. I miss 3 in week 3 not in a row . I miss the last pills in week 3 that was on a saturday. i took it sunday. I had to wait til the drug store open before i started the new pack cause it was closed sunday may 8 so i took 2 pills monday may 9. I always have unprotected sex i dont take them at the same time.
Avatar n tn I'm 18 years old and I started taking tri sprintec birth control at the beginning of September and my period started in the second week of the pack. Its been 2 and half weeks and my period still won't stop and it keeps getting heavier and heavier and I've never had this problem. I called my gyno and they said to wait about 3 months and see what happens, but I don't think I can wait that long my period and cramps are killing me and I'm really moody lately.
Avatar f tn d be okay, I mean I didnt see any bumps or anything on his private area or anything so I thought I was in the clear. 4 months after that I started on the pill; which was about 3 months ago I started taking Tri-Sprintec birth-control and I had an AWFUL reaction to it and turns out I was allergic to the high dosage of the acne-clearer in it. Last month I switched to YAZ.
Avatar n tn Just kidding... I am on Tri-Sprintec, not Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo. I don't know if it makes a difference though.

Avatar f tn ok...i'm 23 years old and not looking to have a child. i have been on tri sprintec birth control pill for about 4 months...current pack i'm on is my 4th pill pack. so far it has been great...no bad side effects...but now i'm freaking out a little. i'm on my week 2 pills and just experienced probably less than a teaspoon amount of blood when i wiped after going to the bathroom.
Avatar n tn I took Tri-Sprintec (which is the same thing as Trinessa) for 3 years and my period almost always came on Wednesday of my inactive week (I was a Sunday start so Wednesday was the 4th day of the inactive pill week). Once or twice it came on Tuesday. It is because it take a few days after the last active pill for your progesterone levels to level out and trigger your period.
Avatar m tn I've been on tri sprintec (combination pill) for about 4 years now. My period ended this past Sunday and on the same day I was supposed to pick up my new pack and start it that Sunday. I forgot and didn't end up getting it until Tuesday. so Tuesday I took two pills (for Sunday and Monday) and Wednesday I took two pills ( for Tuesday and Wednesday). By Thursday I was back on track and Took one pill. Friday I took one pill and Saturday I took one pill. Saturday night I had unprotected sex.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec, and a week before and after my period I do not have discharge. However, the other two weeks, I have excessive discharge daily. I've talked to my MD about it and she thinks that since I don't have any other crazy side effects or issues besides the discharge, then I should basically deal with it. Because If I go onto another birth control I might have worse side effects etc.
Avatar f tn I am a married 21 year old female, and I am on Tri-Sprintec birth control. I have known several people who have gotten pregnant while on this particular birth control...Anyway, I had not been feeling well and starting having a lower right abdominal pain that was not constant--you know the off-and-on kind of piercing pain?
Avatar m tn I have been on tri sprintec for a few months now, always taking it at the same time everyday forgotten a day here or there but have always doubled up next day, taken the forgotten pill that morning. How I've been taking my bc is I've taken the 3 weeks of blue pills, then when I've gotten to the white pills I wait until my period is over to start my next pack. Does that effect the effectiveness of the pill if I wait until after my period to start the next pack?
Avatar f tn When I was 15 the docs decided to put me on a progesterone based birth control (Tri-Sprintec) to start my periods and I’ve been on and off that same birth control since then. Tri sprintec has always worked for me, regular periods, no complications.
