Avatar f tn Hi Kay, Here is something you may find intresting Tri-Sprintec contains female hormones and therefore alters your female gynecological symptoms. Tri-Sprintec typically causes nausea, bloating, stomach cramps, breast pain, vaginal discharge, menstrual irregularities and changes in your appetite and weight. Tri-Sprintec can affect your appearance and cause increased hair growth, loss of hair or freckling of your skin. It can cause nervousness, a headache and fatigue.
Avatar f tn You'll have to go back to him and tell him the side effects are too much. There are a lot of other options out there if you want to do the every 3 months thing. He needs to be willing to work with you to find a pill that won't cause these type of side effects.
Avatar f tn Here is the comparison between Sprintec vs. Tri-Sprintec. Yes, Sprintec contains the same level of hormones as in the third week of the Tri Sprintec (Day 15-21). Sprintec has the same amount of hormones for the 3 weeks of active pills, while the Tri-Sprintec increases in norgestimate each week. Sprintec®: Day 1-21: Ethinyl estradiol 0.035 mg and norgestimate 0.25 mg (28s) [21 blue tablets] Day 22-28: 7 white inactive tablets (28s) Tri-Sprintec®: Day 1-7: Ethinyl estradiol 0.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec, and a week before and after my period I do not have discharge. However, the other two weeks, I have excessive discharge daily. I've talked to my MD about it and she thinks that since I don't have any other crazy side effects or issues besides the discharge, then I should basically deal with it. Because If I go onto another birth control I might have worse side effects etc.
1430817 tn?1283289443 I have been takin my birth control (tri-sprintec) since march but i dont take it the same time everyday! should i be worry bout getting pregnant???
Avatar n tn My next cycle was regular 28days. One day 1 of my period I started tri-sprintec, but discontinued it after 3 pills. This month my period is now going on 5 days late and 2 pregnancy tests have been negative. Is this normal? I did have unprotected sex during this month, but my husband did not ejaculate inside of me. Please help...
Avatar f tn And on the May 12th I started taking cryselle (switched from tri sprintec due to weight gain) and a week and one day later my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and have pretty much been having unprotected sex since although he always pulls out. *For about a week or two I've been having pregnancy symptoms, swollen and tender breasts, horrible cramping, smells bother me really bad, i get headaches every day, and I'm always really nauseous.
Avatar n tn This has never happened to me before. Also, I take tri-sprintec and I read that one of the side effects can be yeast infections.
1749614 tn?1311882158 My Doctor switched me however From Tri-sprintec to Aviane on the next pack of pills and I had unprotected sex on the first day of starting those, but once again he pulled out and did not *** at all. Now it is 6 days after I started taking Aviane and I have cramping and nausea. I'm 15 and very worried that i may be pregnant. What do you think? Please no lectures about abstinence though.
Avatar f tn ok...i'm 23 years old and not looking to have a child. i have been on tri sprintec birth control pill for about 4 months...current pack i'm on is my 4th pill pack. so far it has been great...no bad side effects...but now i'm freaking out a little. i'm on my week 2 pills and just experienced probably less than a teaspoon amount of blood when i wiped after going to the bathroom.
Avatar m tn I just started taking this bc Tri-sprintec and im on day 3 I woke up and i seem to be extremely tiered. Is this caused by the bc? I have no energy to do anything.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I'm usually on the Maternal and Child Health forum because I had a baby girl last year. But my question is more about women's health so, here I am :) I'm on birth control pills called Tri-sprintec. It's the generic of Ortho Tri-cyclen. I stopped taking them for a little while partly because my partner and I really have no time to be intimate and it's hard for me to remember to take them everyday. Anyhow, I started taking them again two months ago.
Avatar f tn which was about 3 months ago I started taking Tri-Sprintec birth-control and I had an AWFUL reaction to it and turns out I was allergic to the high dosage of the acne-clearer in it. Last month I switched to YAZ. But, when I first started with the Tri- Sprintec I noticed these bumps which looked a bit like herpes but I don't know for sure in my mouth near my uvula and they are spreading in the back of my mouth. My stomach and abdomen have been acting up and I dont know what is wrong.
Avatar m tn m already getting the same stomaches as I did the last time I took them. I read up on my pills and they do have side effects but I feel I shouldn't be having these. My pills are called Tri- Sprintec. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop the stomaches? Or should I just keep taking them and wait for my body to get used to them?
Avatar n tn Hello, if a person takes their birth control (Tri Sprintec) every night at 9pm, but forgets to take it at 9pm one night and has sex from 930pm to 1030pm, and then remembers to take it again at 12 midnight (3 hours late), is there a chance for pregnancy?
Avatar m tn I have been on tri-sprintec birth control for 8+ years. I seemed to get a zit here and there on the side of my chin around my period, but for the past 6-8 months I seem to have constant breakouts mainly on the sides of my chin. It is all the time, not just around my period. The right side is worse than the left. The rest of my skin is clear. I have tried antibiotics, Retin-A, changing all my face products, serums, facials and even a juice cleanse.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-all-Sprintec pills. I’ve been on them for about 5 months or so. My boyfriend and I haven’t been using other protection besides my pills. I went on vacation recently and on July 4 I completely missed my pill. I didn’t take that pill until today (July 16). On July 5 we had unprotected sex. I was half a day late taking it on July 8 and we had unprotected sex twice the following day. Starting July 14 I started getting brown discharge. No odor at all.
Avatar n tn I should note that I also started birth control (tri-sprintec) 15 days ago. Yesterday I noticed very small reddish, shiny bumps on my vulva (the same area where the yeast infection got really bad), and also on the same side as that, but closer to my butt cheek. They are kind of all clustered together. The bumps do not hurt, but are only a little dry and itchy. I have not had sex with my boyfriend since before the yeast infection (it's probably been about 3 weeks now!).
Avatar f tn I have been taking Sprintec for almost a month now and its caused my breasts to swell and nausea so far, but those side effects have gone away. Now my vaginal area is itchy and uncomfortable and I think it might be the pills. Should I call my doctor and set up an appointment to check and make sure its the pills and nothing serious?
Avatar n tn Every time you stop and restart it throws your body off and messes with your hormone levels and will take that much longer to normalize. The antibiotics wouldn't make your period start sooner, it is just due to the fact you have just started taking the birth control hormones, it will regulate in a few cycles.
Avatar f tn I have been on Tri Sprintec birth control for over two years and never had any problems. I take the pill every day between the time of 7-8. I have been with the same guy for over four years, and am sexually active but we always use another form of protection. (Condoms, pulling out, etc.) I am scheduled to start my period in 8 days (Sept 15) but two days ago I noticed this brown discharge when I wiped, it had a tint of red in it for a few hours then went back to a brown color.
Avatar f tn I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
Avatar f tn I think you need to go back to your doctor and have him/her discuss the method, the pills and side effects as well as when to take them and when not to.
Avatar m tn I've been taking tri-sprintec birth control for almost a year now. The last time I was sexually active was on july 16 and my last period came two days after that and a condom was used. I decided to stop taking the birth control for good once I finished that last pack that I was on and I can't remember the exact day of my last pill when I got off, but I haven't had a period since. Lately, I've been having temporary pain (sting) in the vagina and my abdomen has been hurting.
