Avatar f tn Hi! Yes, yeast can and does cause a rash and itching/burning sensation. Typically the areas affected are the groin area and under the breasts. Sometimes under the belly if there is a bit of extra "fluff". Nystatin powder of Tegretol shampoo can work very well in these areas. Diflucan is a great drug for treating yeast that's "everywhere". Colonoscopy won't cause yeast or GI problems, but is often done because of pre-existing GI problems. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I don't know about normal, though my doctor said yes. I'm treating a yeast infection. Now at 10 weeks. It *****. Very messy. I think it's also giving me the "poops".
Avatar n tn im 14 and im pretty sure i have a yeast infection, i have red itchy bumps all over my body except my face but some are on my vagina my discharge comes out as white and creamy and it smells.
Avatar n tn Has anyone had a yeast infection before? I'm 35 weeks and I'm dealing with a yeast infection right now. I'm treating it with a cream that my doctor prescribed me, but I've been getting a pink discharge after I wipe myself, well everytime I put on the cream. Can it be the cream that's causing the pink discharge? Im so lost this is my first pregnancy and this is the first time that I've gotten a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn I have been going through CFS symptoms for the past 18 months now and believe have a yeast infection. Anyone have ideas to treat yeast infection? I just started to use threelac but have not used it long enough to see the results. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn If its thrush in the vagina that is just basically a yeast infection... caused by a certain type of bacteria. (I think). I don't think it affects the baby. Good luck and I hope you get it taken care of quickly!

I took the medicine, got a lil bit of relief but it never went away. I went to the doc again the other day and got some medicine. Its been 2 days since i took the meds and i still dont feel any relief. Could this be a yeast infection or somthing else ?
Avatar f tn On Friday, February 6th I was 40 wks and 4 days and I noticed that I had a yeast infection, i tried to call my doctor and ask her what i should do, seeing as most creams work in a week and I'm scheduled to be induced in 6 days(on Friday). She never responded however so i bought some monistat and started the treatment that night. It is now Monday, February 9th and I just took my 4th nightly treatment and i feel better no more signs of yeast, should i keep going???
Avatar n tn Everyone usually has yeast infections and they are annoying, not dangerous. It's just an overgrowth of yeast in the vaginal cavity. I can't imagine putting up with a yeast infection for 3 years but it won't affect your fertility.
Avatar n tn Is using over the counter clotrimazole a good solution to treating a male yeast infection? I also have the prescription cream clotrimazole and betamethasone which seems to be a little more beefier. Would this be a better option? How long should I treat the area?
Avatar f tn I don't think so. I had a yeast infection and uti and the doctor never mention that it could hurt the baby.
2020005 tn?1628125976 I would go to a doctor and ask for a prescription if you're sure you have a yeast infection. I tried treating one with otc meds once, only to find I was allergic!!! The stuff has rubbing alcohol in it! Not a good feeling in the vajayjay. So, I say let a doc confirm it's a yeast infection and prescribe you some meds.
Avatar f tn To be sure and on the safe side you should see a doctor to make sure it is a yeast infection. Unfortunately yeast infections have similar symptoms to many other things and you should be sure before treating it. Once you know there are plenty of over the counter products you can use like monistat. It's what I've used in the past. I know what you are going through and it is very uncomfortable! I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Pink discharge after treating yeast infection for a postmenopausal woman? Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Some people and sources on the internet have told me the I can treat a yeast infection by putting a whole unbroken clove of garlic in my vagina over night. This is very weird to me. I rather just go to the doctor, but that could get expensive for women who are prone to yeast infections. I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried this garlic treatment and if it actually works or if it's just a (butter on a burn) kind of myth. Seen on www.midwiferytoday.

Avatar f tn Hello I have been treating a penile yeast infection for 12 days. All symptoms have subsided other than a bit of discharge I notice when I wake up in the morning on my underwear. Is this something I should be worried about? Or not? Because I am still treating with medicated cream until the tube is gone. (About halfway through). I also took pills but I have finished those.
492921 tn?1321289896 when your partner comes in you repeatedly the sperm can actually change the ph of your vagina so that it is more hospitable to yeast overgrowth. that in itself can be enough to set the stage for a yeast infection.
Avatar m tn as petal already recommended, be seen every single time you think you have a yeast infection for proper testing to make sure it really is yeast going on at this point.
Avatar n tn t appear to have confirmed with anyone that you in fact have a yeast problem, treating it as one will get you nowhere if the problem lies elsewhere.

6005122 tn?1393527486 I have contacted my doctor, and they seem to be at a loss as far as other ways of treating yeast infections in pregnant women. Is there anything anyone can recommend that they did if they had a yeast infection during pregnancy before? Please help I can't take it anymore!
Avatar f tn For your first yeast infection you should see a gynecologist. This is the most common condition they see. Don't be shy. Health is important. But you must wash all your underwear in hot water with measured detergent and baking soda to kill the yeast. Use pantiliners while treating the condition. The MD can give you one or two pills for yeast or topical cream. Use the cream as directed. Personally the creams irritate my tissues for some reason so I prefer the pill form.
