902736 tn?1242615086 I am on day 2 of 600 per day tramadol withdrawal; intestinal, anxiety (worst!), sneezing (always in twos and very violent and frequent); yawning, ears hearing the "whish..whish, whish...". Can anyone out there tell me how long this is going to last? I have to work 12 hours tomorrow. Is this going to get worse before it gets better? I have been on tramadol for 3 years now. Thanks.
Avatar m tn Tramadol is severely addicted! I was addicted and consider myself an addict BECAUSE of tramadol alone!
Avatar f tn Is this sneezing really a withdrawal symptoms, or just because it's spring here?
Avatar f tn I took it for about a week and figured the opiates were out of my system and I should not have withdrawal from tramadol from such a short time period. Boy was I wrong. The RLS, sneezing, pain and anxiety were much worse than opiates. It is actually what drove me to call my doc and get a refill of vicodin because I could not stand the feeling. Please let me know how you are doing.

Avatar n tn I, after 7 months, have stopped taking Tramadol as my condition and pain has lessened through physio etc. I was using 2 - 3 tablets most days or sometimes only 1 and rarely 4. Since stopping about 11 days ago I have been sneezing badly and have badly blocked and congested sinuses. I am dizzy and tired often and have a general aches and pains feeling. Is this from withdrawl and if so should it pass soon?
Avatar f tn This is DAY 7 for me ..Yes Day 7!! I was on Vic 500, Norcos and Tramadol everyday for over a year. I quit cold turkey YES 7 DAYS ago and I still feel severe wds. My 5 day was probably the best..the sun felt good, I felt there was no stopping me ( don't get me wrong there is still no stopping me) just wondering if this is normal. I didn't expect the energy level to come back for some time but didn't think this achey feeling will still feel this BAD!!
Avatar f tn m looking for the Thomas recipe but can only get it for opiates and Tramadol seems to have different withdrawal symptoms than other opiates.

Avatar f tn Well here's the answer. 4 days and yes from tramadol I'm experience opiate withdrawal. Not the SNRI withdrawal but an opiate type (I've had that before). Sweating like a pig, skin is hurting, sleep is hard, chills. I went to physical therapy regardless - I have xanax but it's not touching the part that ***** the most (the sweat, shakes and restless leg). It's not the worst by any means but it's obvious I'm not feeling the best and I have a lot going on.
348629 tn?1212325673 Tramadol (Ultram) is even harder to come off. The withdrawal is horrendous. Tramadol is what I took for the last 10 years - I thought I was kidding myself that it wasn't Vicodin - well guess what it is just as addicting. I was up to 30-40 pills a day. Get help with detox, don't do it yourself...
Avatar f tn ve become legitimately depressed, should I ask for a drug that will help with the depression and ease certain serotonin-specific withdrawal symptoms? (3) The tramadol has genuinely improved the quality of my life, but I know I'm dependent, if not addicted (the depression, I believe is not drug-related, although I could be wrong). Is there any advice as to how I should broach the subject to the new neurologist? Should I request some sort of opiate antagonist along with an antidepressant?

Avatar f tn m almost 5 weeks in from recovering from a tramadol addiction. Please be aware that tramadol is very hard to withdrawal from. They may last a little longer but it's so worth it! Gabapentin was prescribed to me for 6 days and was a God send but is NOT the answer and especially not for everyone.
544292 tn?1268882668 Hi Tramadol Warriors, Many people have come here for many years, giving support and getting support. Because I still believe that Tramadol is unique in it's ... terror and torture of humans, this thread continues. The people who can understand what you are going thru are the people who have kicked it and there's people here who come back to lend a hand. You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
Avatar f tn I'm a little shaky, cramping, agitated and runny nose. I just keep telling myself it'll be worth it. A number of years ago, I was on Zoloft for about 5 years, after my father passed away. I decided to end usage and the doctor gave me a weaning off plan. I think it was too fast for me and I was surprised how bad the withdrawal was. So I know that I have done it before. I just need to stay positive! :-) How are you doing with wd's from Tramadol?
Avatar n tn Starting the Cymbalta may reduce your withdrawal to some extent, as Cymbalta is a serotonin (and norepinephrine) reuptake blocker, and some of the withdrawal from Tramadol comes from changes in serotonin activity. The withdrawal is not 'dangerous', so do your best to avoid concentrating on them. Distraction is one thing that can help reduce withdrawal symptoms. I would expect them to continue for one to two weeks at the most.
Avatar n tn I have the option of using tramadol to ease the neck and back pain I currently have and was hoping to dull the pain somewhat of going off the percs. However, I am also hearing that tramadol is addicting too? I was on tramadol before I was prescribed the percs, but obviously I didn't have the chance to find out if they were addicting since I "graduated" to the percocet..lucky me! lol Are they addictive if I use them temporarily or long term for that matter?
Avatar f tn Yes, sneezing (and being stuffed up, headaches, sinus problems) all come from withdrawal. Withdrawal provokes an inflammatory response in the entire body, thus the huge number and wide variety of symptoms people experience when they withdraw. Unless you are starting to get fall allergies!
Avatar m tn Hey guys, Im new here and wanted some advice. Ive been taking Tramadol and Hydrocodone together for about three months off and on, perscribed of course, then I started reading how bad withdrawals can be from the Tramadol, so I quit taking it cold turkey with little side effects. Now I'm getting ready to quit this Hydrocodone, just a little scared from withdrawal and what to expect. will it be bad after just three months. averaged about 40 mgs. daily.
Avatar f tn Is excessive sneezing part of withdrawal? I sneeze 8-9 times in a row still and I'm at day 15. If this is from the withdrawal, when might it go away. It must be part of the withdrawal since it started about 2 weeks ago.
