Avatar m tn I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there who has had the same results with Tramadol or has been prescribed Tramadol for depression?
Avatar f tn You might want to decide to go with tramadol and Wellbutrin together, this could prove to be a really good working antidepressants combo. Wellbutrin acts primarily as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and to a lesser extend norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor without any significant serotonin affinity. M4 References - http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar f tn This is my first day with Wellbutrin hoping it works better then the Lex. Tramadol was really hard to kick because it helped with depression as well but I knew I needed to stop. I am so glad that I no longer am a slave to it where I panicked if I didn't have enough it's the worst drug out there!!
Avatar f tn There is a black box warning of taking Tramadol (Ultram) with any anti-depressant on the market. Tramadol induces serotonin release, and inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine. SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) or antidepressants also increase the serotonin levels. If both medications are taken together, you may experience serotonin toxicity. This can be fatal. Responsible physicians should not prescribe them together.
Avatar f tn NO you should not have been taking tramadol with either cymbalta or wellbutrin did the same doctor put you on all three of these !!!!!!! If you are taking tram or an anti you can NOT take 5 hpt ,sam e,L tyrosine.... Seizure Risk Seizures have been reported in patients receiving tramadol within the recommended dosage range. Spontaneous post-marketing reports indicate that seizure risk is increased with doses of tramadol above the recommended range.
Avatar n tn Hi all, So, I was 9 days sober from tramadols and yesterday I had a relapse. Basically work got extremely stressful and the depression set in BIG time. I couldn't focus and felt like I didn't want to get out of the house. I took 1 pill to get through work and today I took another one. I was taking about 20, 50mg a day before I stopped cold turkey 10 days ago. My Doc will write me a prescription for Wellbutrin and I'm picking it up tomorrow. Will that help me with the depression?
1278336 tn?1271816114 Ive been abusing hydrocodone for a few years now, kicked with ALOT of tramadol week before last for nearly five days, ran out of tramadol on the fifth day and went and got hydrocodone. This time, I only had a few tramadol to work with, so I took four yesterday and four today. I dont have anything but willpower to get me through tomorrow any advice to help me get through day three? would wellbutrin help?
13129035 tn?1434039712 m a LOT stronger than I think. The wellbutrin is helping a little I think with the mental part though. I just have to remember the physical withdrawals will only last a little while! Thank y'all for your help!
Avatar f tn I am surprised that you already have not had seizures considering you are also taking wellbutrin which can cause seizures when combined with opiates and ESPECIALLY tramadol.

Avatar f tn I worry if I don't take an antidepressant I may go back to tramadol. can't take trams and AD together. I do have a problem with depression. I make myself excersise every day plus take vitamins, eat healthy. I'm beginning to wonder if the tramadol ate my brain or something. And thank you, you guys are great. I wouldn't be over 100 days free from tamadol if not for this forum and the ppl here.
Avatar f tn The first time I took it was for back pain and I was taking it for about 7-8 months then I realized I had to stop but had no idea how hard it was gonna be. After two months with the help of therapy and Wellbutrin I finally started feeling normal. Now this is my second time around . This time I've only been taking them for a little over a month stopping a couple times in between so about a month I was taking between 300-400 mg a day.
Avatar f tn well...if u r still concerned then also ask your pharmacist as he/she knows more about meds as a rule than a doctor...tramadol has alot to do with seratonin release so ssri's are usually not taken with them if u take a high dose of tramadol each day...WB is mostly a dopamine enhance with minimal effect on seratonin ...
13129035 tn?1434039712 I just couldn't take it anymore so I told my parents about a week ago that I had been taking pills for 2 years. it was one of the hardest things ive had to do honestly. I was taking 7 tramadols a day and 20-40mg hydrocodone. id take Adderall when I couldn't find those but it wasn't often. I haven't taken tramadol in 2 days so im super happy about that, but I did take a hydrocodone at two separate times that first night, I took 2 adderalls IR today.
Avatar f tn She also told me if I was to take ANY tramadol with this new drug I WOULD have a seizure. So, no more tramadol ever. Thanks.
Avatar f tn So I am trying to quit tramadol iv been a addicted to it for over a year now. I don't know how it happened I started taking it for migraines and iv always had horrible depression and anxioty so when I take it it calms me down gives me peace and I had a rough childhood with my mother abandoning me at the age of 8 years old. I liked the way it numbed me to not feel any emotions.
Avatar n tn wellbutrin seems to depress the "craving center"...i was able to cut back on smoking while i was on it....i'm not sure about long term effects, i ended up with a skin rash...turns out it was a morphine reaction...(mildly allergic to what i'm addicted to, hahaha), the doctor thought it was from the wellbutrin and d/c it. it's an antidepressant...and it can be addicting too. if you have a doctor you may want to involve them to help you kick the vics....
475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
470217 tn?1360565361 I made it through the night and now it's Friday, second day with no Tramadol, if I'm going to keep this up. I felt really strange last night and had some RLS but with half a hydro and a LOT of Unisom (sorry, I lost count. I believe I took four) I was able to sleep. Going to work now, feeling semi-ok. It's now been 29 hours since I took 1/2 a tramadol, 41 hours since the dose before that, which I believe was one pill.
372880 tn?1332879487 Your medication check has detected interactions involving Wellbutrin and Zoloft, and identified at least one medication with an orange risk rating. This means you may require closer monitoring of your medications in order to reduce your risk of serious side-effects (click on each drug for more details).
Avatar f tn I think you need to find a rheummy who will treat you with more than tramadol to get your condition(s) under control again.

Avatar m tn Was going cold turkey from that hydro level a good idea? And taking tramadol now for unreal pain from prostatitis. Would wellbutrin help more with wd?
Avatar n tn YES,YES tramadol is very addicting and difficult to stop because of the antidepressant action similar to effexor.Even if most of the literature and medical people say it is a mild opiate....it still is very addictive and builds a tolerance quickly. Some people have withdrawals even at recommended doses in as little as a few weeks.
Avatar f tn m on 10mg of Prozac and have noticed some weight gain within the past 2 months or so and my doctor has suggested I start taking Wellbutrin along with the Prozac but my biggest concern is having panic attacks. I suffer from panic disorder w/ agoraphobia and the Prozac has been helping but I'm afraid that adding on the Wellbutrin may counteract that. (I know it is considered a stimulant for a lot of people - hence the usual weight loss.
