Common Questions and Answers about Tramadol vs tylenol 3

Avatar n tn (In fact last Thursday was my last day on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol) I was on them for 3-4 years and was taking 400+ mg/day so the WD's were pretty bad. I still have trouble sleeping with my legs aching and I have "little anxiety attacks" every now and then. But like you, I have to work during thor: #dae8f4'>is ordeal and I have done a good job of faking a cold until I can get my strength and energy back. It's been 6 days w/out tram and I am coming back to life slowly but surely.
Avatar n tn I am unsure or: #dae8f4'>what the differences are totally but I do know that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol has NO tylenol in it. Well I think certain tram's do but straight or: #dae8f4'>tramadol 50mg does not. I also know that they too can be addictive. or: #dae8f4'>tramadol or: #dae8f4'>is an atypical opioid which or: #dae8f4'>is a centrally acting analgesic, used for treating moderate to severe pain. It or: #dae8f4'>is a synthetic agent, unrelated to other opioids, and appears to have actions on the GABAergic, noradrenergic and serotonergic systems.
403399 tn?1201836695 They don't give me the same high as HC or Vicodin, but I have heard they are still addictive. Any advice?
Avatar f tn I've been taking tylenol but it has not helped. I refuse to increase my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol....grin and bear it...I'm used to putting on a mask while walking around in pain, the or: #dae8f4'>tramadol sometimes just took the edge off on certain days. I'm not sure if thor: #dae8f4'>is headache or: #dae8f4'>is a tapering WD effect. I have not dosed down any further since 3 weeks ago, as someone said wail till you start feeling better at thor: #dae8f4'>is current dose. I'm getting impatient. I started my Taper the last week of Sept.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have read quite a bit of posts of those taking or: #dae8f4'>tramadol going through horrible withdrawals. The consensus I am reading or: #dae8f4'>is or: #dae8f4'>tramadol has worse withdrawals than codeine..compared to Meth on some posts. I am currently taking or: #dae8f4'>tramadol prescribed by Dr. but also prescribed by "me" for depression/mild ADD, etc. My doctor told me or: #dae8f4'>tramadol or: #dae8f4'>is a "good little drug" and not strong enough to consider for suboxone (spelling?) therapy to get off .
Avatar m tn ) - don't know the spelling but it or: #dae8f4'>is the ingredient in regular over counter tylenol times 3 plus <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol. The main ingredient in Ultram or: #dae8f4'>is <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol but there or: #dae8f4'>is a difference. When you are prescribed straight Tram it or: #dae8f4'>is w/out the tylenol. Apparently when taken together (Ultram prescription) the or: #dae8f4'>tramadol works faster and longer. It becomes more potent when you mix the two. It speeds up the or: #dae8f4'>tramadol effect if you will.
Avatar f tn He thinks its better to be on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol vs. vicodent. The orthropeadic surgeon says I am NOT to get any steriod or any other injections into the shoulder, as pain or: #dae8f4'>is originating from my neck. Its really impossible to sleep on my back or left side, which leaves the right side and I continually wake up and feel like a knife or: #dae8f4'>is stuck between my chest and shoulder blades. I really don't know where to go from here. I do see the pain magagement doc next week, but that really doesn't give me answers.
Avatar f tn Hi. I take about 500 mg of <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol per day. It looks like I am going to run out about 3 days before I can get my next refill. I have some tylenol 3 with codiene left over from a root canal. If I take those when u run out of the or: #dae8f4'>tramadol will I be ok withdrawl wor: #dae8f4'>ise? It's only for three days so I'm hoping I'll be ok. I just remember the last time I took the codiene it made me really sleepy and sedated like. Did not like that feeling at all!!
Avatar f tn 5 <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol and 325 acetemitaphene. The tylenol or: #dae8f4'>is more my concern right now. I am really looking for people who can compare ultram and ultracet usage.
Avatar n tn I have court today so I thought I would try Ambien cr rather than <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol in case it was the or: #dae8f4'>tramadol making me feel slugglor: #dae8f4'>ish. Big mor: #dae8f4'>istake!!!!!! I didn't get the good rem sleep, woke up at 2:30am took 1/2 a or: #dae8f4'>tramadol then finaly got some sleep.
142841 tn?1201978652 After treatment or: #dae8f4'>is finor: #dae8f4'>ished, if I have a headache or something, I should use aspirin or Advil, but not tylenol. tylenol or: #dae8f4'>is best when on treatment. Does that make sense?
Avatar n tn I'm STILL on the same antibiotic!!!! Only by now, I've added Advil, tylenol and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>tramadol to the Vicodin. My diet or: #dae8f4'>is liquid. I had blood drawn today by the emergency room doctor for lab tests and I'm having a CT scan of my neck tomorrow. I'm betting thor: #dae8f4'>is whole thing has been an infection from the first root canal that never cleared up. Now, I'm looking at probably having the implanted post removed and a drain put in to clear the infection.
1529480 tn?1291880734 I take it every night when I wake up in the middle of the night so I have nothing for the day. Sometimes I take the MS C. and 3 hours later my breakthrough kicks in. I then can't take anything for another 5 hours. Then it takes 45 min to an hour to work so I am in agony for 6 hours. At least if I was taking only percocet, I wouldn't have to wait so long in between each pill. Even if it didn't work a full 4-6 hours.

Start with something like tylenol 3 and see if that helps. Move up until your pain or: #dae8f4'>is gone and then just do away with them. If you go through another epor: #dae8f4'>isode where you need them, the doc will prescribe them. But the Ultram and Demerol, no way!
