Tramadol vs tylenol 3

Common Questions and Answers about Tramadol vs tylenol 3

ultracet

(In fact last Thursday was my last day on tramadol) I was on them for 3-4 years and was taking 400+ mg/day so the WD's were pretty bad. I still have trouble sleeping with my legs aching and I have "little anxiety attacks" every now and then. But like you, I have to work during this ordeal and I have done a good job of faking a cold until I can get my strength and energy back. It's been 6 days w/out tram and I am coming back to life slowly but surely.
They don't give me the same high as HC or Vicodin, but I have heard they are still addictive. Any advice?
I've been taking Tylenol but it has not helped. I refuse to increase my Tramadol....grin and bear it...I'm used to putting on a mask while walking around in pain, the Tramadol sometimes just took the edge off on certain days. I'm not sure if this headache is a tapering WD effect. I have not dosed down any further since 3 weeks ago, as someone said wail till you start feeling better at this current dose. I'm getting impatient. I started my Taper the last week of Sept.
Hi, I have read quite a bit of posts of those taking Tramadol going through horrible withdrawals. The consensus I am reading is Tramadol has worse withdrawals than codeine..compared to Meth on some posts. I am currently taking Tramadol prescribed by Dr. but also prescribed by "me" for depression/mild ADD, etc. My doctor told me Tramadol is a "good little drug" and not strong enough to consider for suboxone (spelling?) therapy to get off .
) - don't know the spelling but it is the ingredient in regular over counter tylenol times 3 plus Tramadol. The main ingredient in Ultram is Tramadol but there is a difference. When you are prescribed straight Tram it is w/out the tylenol. Apparently when taken together (Ultram prescription) the tramadol works faster and longer. It becomes more potent when you mix the two. It speeds up the tramadol effect if you will.
He thinks its better to be on Tramadol vs. vicodent. The orthropeadic surgeon says I am NOT to get any steriod or any other injections into the shoulder, as pain is originating from my neck. Its really impossible to sleep on my back or left side, which leaves the right side and I continually wake up and feel like a knife is stuck between my chest and shoulder blades. I really don't know where to go from here. I do see the pain magagement doc next week, but that really doesn't give me answers.
Hi. I take about 500 mg of tramadol per day. It looks like I am going to run out about 3 days before I can get my next refill. I have some Tylenol 3 with codiene left over from a root canal. If I take those when u run out of the tramadol will I be ok withdrawl wise? It's only for three days so I'm hoping I'll be ok. I just remember the last time I took the codiene it made me really sleepy and sedated like. Did not like that feeling at all!!
5 tramadol and 325 acetemitaphene. The tylenol is more my concern right now. I am really looking for people who can compare ultram and ultracet usage.
I have court today so I thought I would try Ambien cr rather than tramadol in case it was the tramadol making me feel slugglish. Big mistake!!!!!! I didn't get the good rem sleep, woke up at 2:30am took 1/2 a tramadol then finaly got some sleep.
After treatment is finished, if I have a headache or something, I should use aspirin or Advil, but not Tylenol. Tylenol is best when on treatment. Does that make sense?
I'm STILL on the same antibiotic!!!! Only by now, I've added Advil, Tylenol and Tramadol to the Vicodin. My diet is liquid. I had blood drawn today by the emergency room doctor for lab tests and I'm having a CT scan of my neck tomorrow. I'm betting this whole thing has been an infection from the first root canal that never cleared up. Now, I'm looking at probably having the implanted post removed and a drain put in to clear the infection.
Welcome Tramadol Warriors! Fred wrtes, "I stick with it because I remember how the T-train caused INCREASED pain all over my body, in places I never imagined I could have pain. I stick with it because I can remember what it was like to be in the FOG of TRAM, to walk into a room, and forget why I was there, I stick with it because I would rather not get killed on my motorcycle from being too fogged to care what I was doing.

So, if you have to take something for pain that OTC's don't touch, don't be scared of having to turn to one. Start with something like Tylenol 3 and see if that helps. Move up until your pain is gone and then just do away with them. If you go through another episode where you need them, the doc will prescribe them. But the Ultram and Demerol, no way! And if that is all that doc will prescribe, you find another doc.
Mine's a long story with my own personal feelings and worries about addiction, though I'm just dependent Tylenol with codeine, IMO, isn't much better than tylenol and ibuprofen is probably better. Find the best docs, research the meds they want you on ... go in with full knowledge. When you do get good relief, then work on building yourself up and see how it goes.
