I had urgency and frequency when voiding and assumed it was a UTI ( I am a student nurse) I went to the doctor and he confirmed it as a UTI as there was leukocytes in my urine as well as the symptoms, he also added hat I had renal tenderness and aid that it might also be a kidney infection and therefore put me on Ciprofloxacin and Tramadol. The pain went away with the painkillers and everything seemed to be ok.
Good Morning Tramadol Warriors! Welcome. We're so glad you found us! You can do it. Please make yourself at home and snuggle down. It will be a bit bumpy, but worth it!
Why does tramadol show up as positive for oxycodone on an urinalysis?
I don't know why tramadol would have these effects on you. I suggest seeing a doctor to discuss other treatments for anxiety and depression. Also, tramadol may show up on a drug screening so you should let them know that you are taking it.

None of this was preceded by a fall or trauma of any kind, nor had I implemented any new exercise regiment or any out of the ordinary activity. My doctor did bloodwork and a urinalysis, a doppler ultrasound. Nothing came back that would indicate a problem. He prescribed an antibiotic and prednisone initially. The swelling has now centralized around my knees and ankles in my left leg, and I have been experiencing chronic pain in my left leg, hip, and lower back.

She keeps panting at night and neither one of us can sleep. She has had x-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, urine cortisol creatinine ratio, acth stim, and a consulation with a veterinary specialist. No one can tell me what is wrong. Cognitive dysfunction has been ruled out because she is completely normal in every aspect except for the panting at night. She seems very uncomfortable. She is on rimadyl and tramadol for arthritis, so we feel her pain is controlled.
which doc says should not be causing this type of pain. They took culture for h.pylori. The urinalysis was positive for bile. That is where we stand. My doc (gastro) seems perplexed as to what to do with me. We will talk after she gets results regarding the h.pylori. I continue to have the pain and have lost 10lbs due to the fact that all I can eat are basically liquids and fat free yogurt. I am able to work, but it is difficult. The only other health issue I have is lupus.
One did a range of motion tests with her to make sure of pain in her joints or neck and she never yelped when the vet checked each extremity. They also did an urinalysis on her and everything was normal, The vet figured it was muscular pain and gave her a pain medication to take, but she still looked and acted sick. The second vet couldn't find aything wrong ither and just gave her B-12 to boost her immune system. Her temperature was normal at both vets.
I first took my dog to the vet on 11/8 he came walking down the hall and yelped in pain pulling up his left front paw, tilting his head and he was having difficulty shaking himself, and almost falling over to the right. They said he had a strained shoulder and put him on Tramadol 25mg every 6 hours but by Monday 11/11 he was getting worse and I noticed he was scratching his neck area alot and swiping the side of his face with his paw, tilting his head and still could not shake.
Sensitivity and specificity of oral fluid screening and testing are acceptable, but subject to the same limitations of interpretation and confounding factors as urinalysis [Leavitt 2005]. •Urinalysis is unhelpful for detecting alcohol misuse or abuse [Moeller et al. 2008], and alcohol can be more hazardous in combination with opioids than many other drugs. The above list is certainly not all-inclusive [eg, also see, Carlozzi et al. 2008; Reisfield et al.
twice a day until he had an ear infection last winter. I gave him ascriptin twice a day but it didn't help him at all and I tried tramadol as well. His bloodwork in February showed that he had a high potassium level (6.0) and high alkaline phosphatase level (137). His urinalysis showed low specific gravity (1.007) and last week it was 1.010.
Instead of only having pain in uppper cervical and left hip, my whole trunk is full of trigger points. I have just been banned from my doctors office due to a negative urinalysis for hydrocodone that I take prn. I don't understand why and have had to force myself to keep going prior to yesterday. I have barely been able to take care of my kids and continue working with all of my meds. (Cymbalta, Neurontin, methocarbemol, Ellavil, Aleve and 60 hydrocone a month.
eg, codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, methadone, buprenorphine, tramadol, and fentanyl. Individual patients may have genetic variants of the enzymes, or may be taking inducer or inhibitor drugs, that strongly influence opioid metabolism and, hence, their detectable presence or absence in urine (or blood, or oral fluid if used) [see, Carlozzi et al. 2008; Smith 2009].
I give Condi (my English Mastiff) Adequan shots, for her arthritis and other joint aches and pains, and supplement with Tramadol. As she's so big (185lbs), he dose is rather high, so my vet and I are constantly on the look out for strange behavior and side effects. At the fist sign of anything odd, I'd stop all meds IMMEDIATELY, and you can bet your life I'll have her at the vet in a nanosecond to get her checked out.

Hi, It is possible that the tramadol has affected your bowel movement. How often do you move your bowels? Tramadol is an opioid drug and though it is great for pain relief, it has side effects, such as constipation, addiction, etc. You will need to switch to another pain-killer for the abdominal pain, but it will have to be gradual. It would be best to identify why you still have pain and recurrent UTIs after the surgery.

Placed on 1/2 of 57mg Previcox - Tramadol up to 3/4 50mg tab 2-3 times per day three weeks ago. No known injury, had arched back and painful spine upon exam. Had been anorexic, lethargic, vomited bile and depressed for 2-3 weeks prior. Refer to test results and dates. After two weeks on meds he still did not seem quite right, but neither the specialist or regular vet thought anything else was wrong. Compared to normal activity levels and littermate something was still wrong.
I have went to 3 dentist, 1 PCP and 2 pain drs one that woudln't treat my pain and the other one is on vacation. They gave me 12 tramadol and said that was all they can do for me. Like always I am so lost and still in pain. they didnt even brother to give me anything at the ER. I won't even be able to eat cake with my daughter tomorrow or do anything with her. I tried to get them to give me fluids thru a IV and they wouldn't even do that.
I don't know the specifics, it's just that one month everything appeared to be fine, the next month various aspects of it were elevated, and the next month it was back to normal.

How about a urinalysis to check for UTI or blood in urine? Is she running a fever? Did your Vet give her any medications? Did he treat her pain with any anti-inflammatories? Did he offer you any help at all? How far do you live from another Vet? Within driving distance for a second opinion? Any more info that you have would be helpful.......
The other rheumatologist explains everything away with ********. Like the protein in the urine. I have 2 different tests one urinalysis says I have trace amounts of protein. I think referring to the cloudyness. Even though it's labeled as trace it has a star next to it showing its abnormal. The other test shows I have very high levels of protein. From what I have read the normal amount for one sample is 10mg and mine was 170mg. Yet I'm told by my doctors this means nothing.
