Avatar m tn Don't know what you're working on. Time release is slow release. When I managed health food stores the saying about time release was, expensive urine or bowel movements, since the body evacuates before the stuff comes out of the capsule.
Avatar m tn When you fight doctors for so long, it wears you out.yes i was on tramadol for quite a while, but during this time, I was in a very disressing place and had cacooned myself in my house, gettin my meds sent monthly from local chemist. People who are in constant chronic pain deal with life in different ways.i wouldnt wish my life on my worst enemy.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know about these? It's the extended release version of tramadol but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything else? I was prescribed it in Canada on vacation by a doctor in my mother in laws clinic. I am using it until next Friday when I'm on a long weekend and am going to stop taking it and going med free!
Avatar n tn s daily I had the misfortune of tearing my shoulder ligament. The doctor knowing my condition prescribed me 50mg tramadol 1 every 6 hours. That was 5 days ago and i never took more than prescribed. well as of yesterday i stopped taking them and last night i was starting to get all freaked out with the whole skin crawling and sweats with anxiety stuff I had with the roxys but no where near the severity. This has to be in my head right? I mean i didnt even take them a full week.
983592 tn?1249762935 I'm currently 8 days into my tramadol wean and halfway home. How long can expect to have mood fluctuations. One minute I'm sad and the next I feel Invincible.
Avatar f tn My dr put me on 15mg of time-release morpine on Fri. It does work and I'm thankful for the change. You have a very caring dr, and thank god so do I.
Avatar m tn Took me about two to three weeks to really see a big change in those symptoms, and I still get them back a couple of times a week. Time, time time, for the brain to heal this and start producing dopamine and serotonin on its own, and having clear receptors. Tram is one nasty drug.

Avatar f tn I am currently addicted to tramadol. I take 10 pills a day. I have 100 slow release tablets to use to taper. I'm successfully down to 8 tablets a day. I'm ready to be off but I cannot jump off as I HAVE to be at my job as I am a higher up in a big company. I have been addicted for two years and am truly ready. I guess I'm just looking for support and a little guidance.
Avatar m tn I take 2 50 mg Tramadol daily and have been for 4 yrs for my lower back and knees. I'd advise taking Metamucil and eat foods with plenty of fiber if you plan to take Tramadol for long periods. Now there are days I skip taking Tramadol and just take a rapid release Tylenol which gets me through days I'm not hurting as much.
Avatar f tn I just discovered today that the Tramadol I have been taking for 2 yrs for arthritis and fibromyalgia is a very dangerous medication. I had no idea that it is an opiate!!!!! Now I need help weening myself off of this medication. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I have been taking tramadol/ Tramacet for over 3 years. I started with 200mg tramadol slow release, and 50mg tramacet for breakout pain. Within a year I was well over the prescribed amount, and for the last 6-8months I have been easily taking at least 800mg per day. I just want to confirm that a few of the physical symptoms I have had are a result of tramadol abuse. Chronic stomach upset, fatigue and a very loud ringing in my ears are the most annoying symptoms.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been given tramadol sustained release for pain but don't want to risk addiction so was planning to take them every three days, will this cause addiction? i am also recovered herion addict.
Avatar f tn When the tramadol wears off from the morning I experience a drop in mood, depression like and aches and pains all over my body similar to that of a flu. The tramadol is s 12 hour slow release and it seems as though ad soon as it wears off I start go get these symptoms. I would like to stop taking these drugs! Is this a normal occurrence? And what should I do?.
Avatar m tn Ultram is nothing more than the Brand name for Tramadol and Ultram ER is a timed release of Tramadol. Ultracet is merely Tramdol and Tylenol in the same pill.
955947 tn?1246543837 Hi folks- I have been on 400 mg of Tramadol ER....for about a month- I am fairly certain that its making me vomit and have nausea, plus I have been more irritable since I have been taking it. However when I started I thought it was a wonder drug because it helped with chronic pain from Rheumatoid arthritis and a recent broken foot. Anyway I would like to taper down, to see if I can get releif on lower dose with out nausea...and being b*tchy!! .
Avatar f tn As is I split the dose to make it last longer. No side affects though. I swear by Tramadol 200 slow release and Lyrica. Without those two I would be a complete mess.
1019316 tn?1262615059 I am not an ignorant mom. The tramadol was on my dresser and that room is locked until night time with a key. I have two toddlers and I know how they can climb believe me I know. I am a mom of two and know not to let toddlers get to medication.
621711 tn?1223570604 maybe the doctor does not know your friend is in drug court? tramadol is an extended release narcotic opiod. unlike most other opioids, Tramadol is not considered a controlled substance but is categorized S4. In some states, there are subsets of Schedule 4 with additional requirements, but I dont' think tramadol is one of them.
Avatar f tn Cut back to 100mg once a day everything ok but pain control not sufficient. After 6 months I switched to tramadol extended release 200mg 1-2 times a day & 5 days later my hair loss started again. It grew back before so perhaps this happens at high level dosages. I'll need to lower to dosage to see if it stops. BTW.
1824921 tn?1317528674 How would you go about winging your self off of tramadol taken 2 50ml tablets a day
15290316 tn?1447023108 Hi Interestingly my story is pretty similar to yours as I was addicted to pills too and recently I transitioned to tramadol 100mg extended release and about a week after taking one or two a day, I had the EXACT same headaches you're talking about and feared that it was due to the tramadol (which I read can give headaches as a side effect) so I stopped and it's taken about a week for the headaches to subside but they ARE going away.
Avatar f tn So my mother in law's colleague saw me in Canada and gave me extended release tramadol. Thankfully I am one able to taper and I did. So he said it should help during the day with withdrawls. It stays active for 18 hours. I can cut it in half to 50 mg or 25. I will go to 25 because that's what I'm down to. I'm so happy I got something. Loving my vacation time!
