Avatar n tn Opioid withdrawal has many side effects -- insomnia, nausea and diarrhea, dysforia, muscle twitching, and anxiety are the main ones. A low dose benzo, like clonazepam or alprazolam may help with the anxiety, dysphoria.and insomnia during the first few weeks. Clonazepam may also help with the muscle twitching or myoclonus. Nausea and diarrhea can be treated with OTC medication. Sometimes, a small dose of clonidine helps with withdrawal.

Avatar f tn Deplin seems to be an anti-depressant booster, and Abilify could cause the twitching. It does take a while for it to get out of the system. If after a month off the drugs, and the twitching is still there, you migh want to consult with a psychiatrist.

2030686 tn?1351688548 Chills, body aches, fever or flu like symptoms are all normal side effects of interferon. High doses of vicodin means you're getting a high dose of acetaminophen which can be very liver unfriendly. Those with hepc should not exceed 2000 mg of acetaminophen daily. If you must use pain management drugs for an existing condition perhaps you should talk to your doctor about prescribing something without acetaminophen such as a low dose oxycodone or Tramadol.
Avatar f tn He had dental surgery done and they gave him Convenia without explaining the risks and or side effects to me, nor giving me an alternative for him. Anyways, he is now having small episodes of his head twitching / shaking. I called my vet doctor, they said to keep an eye on him and to bring him in after 5 days, if he's still having these symptoms. But I am concerned now! He was perfectly healthy before his dental surgery.
487070 tn?1313665952 I hate the side effects but it seems to be working for the most part. I understand it is mainly used for Parkinson's diasease and sometimes RLS. Does anyone take this for their RLS? If so how much? Supossedly it helps increase Dopmine levels which PLMD and Parkinson disorders have in common.I'm not sure if RLS is caused by low Dopamine or not. I feel like YUCK. I have had a dry, horse throat all winter & I think it may be a side effect.
Avatar f tn When I started treatment they warned me of the side effects, flu like symptoms, depression, headaches and all that good stuff, but the treatment wasn't too bad, they started me on an anti-depressant and medication for my headaches. But for the last yr or more I have been having the flu like symptoms, major body aches mostly in my upper torso, back problems and I have had every test imaginable done to figure out why I am in so much pain everyday. Some days are better than others.
Avatar f tn in addition to a few flu side effects, my lip has started twitching and was wondering if this too could be a side effect?
Business man2 Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, confusion, hallucinations, headaches, drowsiness, urinary retention, constipation, blurred vision, insomnia, rapid heart beats, trouble breathing and respiratory depression. Tramadol can cause physical and psychological dependence. The human body develops tolerance to the analgesic effects of Tramadol. That means, on regular use of Tramadol, your body gets used to it and you will need more of the drug to induce the same level of pain relief.
Avatar f tn in my lower spine and have been on tramadol for 2 years, then Targin (6 weeks), then oxicodone (2 weeks) and now back on tramadol since I had severe side effects with targin and oxicodone (panic attacs, depression, nausea and difficulty breathing) and have now decided to wean off the tramadol mainly because the difficulty in breathing and the associated panic attacks have stayed with me.
Avatar m tn Tramadol could raise your heart rate, and Synthroid does elevate the metabolism, However Thyroid Disease is a Cause of elevated BP and Cholesterol levels, Si I doubt that the medications are responsible for your increased BP, I would advise sharing your concerns with your MD though.

Avatar n tn Taking too much opiates for you to handle can very well make you nauseous/puke. And decreased sexual drive is another known side effect of opiate use. There is definately a chance your boyfriend is using opiates.
Avatar f tn s part of the problem -- it takes about 4-6 weeks to notice if a med is going to work or not. Side effects, however, start immediately, because all these meds are artificial to the body. Twitching is a common side effect of antipsychotics, but not so much with antidepressants, but we're all different. It might be a problem with magnesium, as these meds interfere with the absorption of magnesium (and vice versa if taken at the same time).
