Avatar f tn I would only imagine that the physician, who has been prescribing you the tramadol so freely, should be willing to help you out with the side effects of the withdrawals that you are now experiencing. You should definitely be tapering the pills to minimize the symptoms of withdrawal.

Avatar f tn Tramadol has a bundle of side effects including addiction....hard to withdraw from due to their narcotic and anti-depressent qualities...i have heard people complain of alot of side effects while taking them...i guess i am confused but i thought u had an addiction to norco?
Avatar n tn My own experience was that my entire body would itch during the entire eight hours that the drug was supposed to be active for pain. There were other nasty side effects, too, like bad nausea and extreme sedation. Some say the nausea and sedation calm down after a while with the use of the medication, but I found that to be the opposite in my case. I'm sure there must be traces in the body for a while after the eight hours, but I'm not sure for how long.
Avatar f tn I looked online and found out that Tramadol ( a generic for Ultram 50) will help it and it has no side effects. I told my doctor and he prescribed it for me and it works wonders! I take it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed. I have restless leg real bad. I used to control it with a glass ofmilk and a banana every night but it progressed beyond that. Try it!
Avatar f tn I would only imagine that the physician, who has been prescribing you the tramadol so freely, should be willing to help you out with the side effects of the withdrawals that you are now experiencing. The withdrawal from it is essentially the same as the one for the opioids and usually takes several weeks of the really nasty symptoms followed by several more of just insomnia and general weakness and depression.

I would not recommend stopping it cold turkey as the withdrawal from it is essentially the same as the one for the opiates. It usually takes several weeks of the really nasty symptoms followed by several more of just insomnia and general weakness and depression.

Avatar m tn Losartan is not known to have many side effects. I've been taking it for a few months with no problems. Have you had any other medication changes? Do you take any statins for cholesterol issues?

Avatar f tn in my lower spine and have been on tramadol for 2 years, then Targin (6 weeks), then oxicodone (2 weeks) and now back on tramadol since I had severe side effects with targin and oxicodone (panic attacs, depression, nausea and difficulty breathing) and have now decided to wean off the tramadol mainly because the difficulty in breathing and the associated panic attacks have stayed with me.

Avatar n tn Opioid withdrawal has many side effects -- insomnia, nausea and diarrhea, dysforia, muscle twitching, and anxiety are the main ones. A low dose benzo, like clonazepam or alprazolam may help with the anxiety, dysphoria.and insomnia during the first few weeks. Clonazepam may also help with the muscle twitching or myoclonus. Nausea and diarrhea can be treated with OTC medication. Sometimes, a small dose of clonidine helps with withdrawal.

Avatar m tn When I was on narcotics - hydrocodne or oxycodone - or anything else for that matter - I would often times get kind of hyper while on them. Many times, I would also have difficulty sleeping, I found that my mind was racing a lot. However, one of the side effects from narcotics is also "nodding off" - so sometimes it does not make sense that you would not be able to sleep. I can't explain it, but I also could not sleep. Are you still in pain?
2030686 tn?1351688548 Chills, body aches, fever or flu like symptoms are all normal side effects of interferon. High doses of vicodin means you're getting a high dose of acetaminophen which can be very liver unfriendly. Those with hepc should not exceed 2000 mg of acetaminophen daily. If you must use pain management drugs for an existing condition perhaps you should talk to your doctor about prescribing something without acetaminophen such as a low dose oxycodone or Tramadol.
7829857 tn?1401192659 I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?
Avatar n tn Most of the side effects are dose related. Here is more information about the medication: http://www.drugs.com/topamax.html . Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. Initially, many people have side effects, but after your body gets used to the med. it goes away (usually after a week or 2).
