I have read that it causes drowiness but people state that it actually gives them energy (I have insomnia- also on my 3th medication because Ambien, Lunesta didn't work. Now on Tranzodone). I am not weening of my wellburtin from my depression, which has subside.

i did and the anxiety was very bad. i didn't have the lack of sleep but the bajiggity feeling was pretty constant. i used hydro to come off of my tramadol and still felt the w/d's that managed to surface. it has been a month and the anxiety still comes and goes but it's not nearly as bad now. good luck.

Hey, started out at 2400 mgs in detox almost 9 months ago. This med is old but widely used for many things. People swear by it for nerve ailments of a varying degree. It was prescribe to me for anxiety and general rest. Let's just say I've had many problems during this time but not from Gabapentin. I really can't say how or what Neurontin did for me. I do know it helped but I also feel like it got to me.
ive been off tramadol for 2 weeks now. but still feeling side effects from the come down. i was taking tramadol with an antidepressent! i stopped taking the antidepressent thinking they wasnt agreeing with me?? but on further research into both drugs it shows that the 2 drugs dont mix very well! ive read the antidepressent amplifies the affect of the tramadol! ive been on tramadol on and off for over 5 years from having 14 ops on my leg!
Tramadol is NOT safe. It is addicting and it is horrid to withdraw from. It changes more brain chemicals than straight narcotics.It does not have to make you high like hydrocodone to mess you up....just try to quit and you will see....you are addicted and physically dependent.
Tapering is the easiest way to quit with the least suffering if you can taper....
When I started treatment they warned me of the side effects, flu like symptoms, depression, headaches and all that good stuff, but the treatment wasn't too bad, they started me on an anti-depressant and medication for my headaches.
