Avatar f tn I am on my second day without tramadol and I am emotional, my stomach hurts, I cant sleep, I am really depressed, and I cant concentrate. I am trying to study for a pre-nursing exam and I cant, just typing this question is hard. I am taking withdrawl ease, tuna omega-3 oil, organically bound minerals, calcium lactate, renafood, 100mg zoloft, 40 mg adderall, and clonazepam. Do you know how long these feelings are going to last? I am really not doing well.
Avatar f tn I was given Tramadol and Buscopan but after reading the leaflets am weary of taking them as i am still breastfeeding my 14mth old baby (although only now once each evening). The doctors were aware i am nursing. i was given doses in hospital, the last dose was aprox 10am and am not due to feed baby till 6pm. should i feed her still tonight or give cows milk? Should i carry on with these or ask my gp to give me alternitives?
Avatar f tn A friend of mine has a very bad wound on her lower leg. She is in a nursing home where they just decided to treat her wound in a bathtub with A-33 cleaner added to the water. Is this a usual (and/or) acceptable practice for wound care treatment? I thought you were suppose to go to great lenghts to keep A-33 off of your skin. Avatar n tn How long before the delivery would a woman have to stop using Tramadol that it would not show up in the baby's system?
5263096 tn?1374273724 Do any of you watch the TV show on A&E called Intervention? I was watching it for a bit because it's about addiction and I thought it would be educational. Although it's very entertaining and I do like the show I have found it kinda makes me crave pills. I have no idea why because it's not like they glorify addiction by any means on the show. Have any of you watched it and felt that way?
1830012 tn?1336520993 As i watch the show Intervention it so means more now after being sober. I've always wanted the best for those on the show but now i'am screaming to my tv "yes go u *******" no matter what the addiction is. My addiction has been to hydro & even though 4 weeks ago i would of said " it hasn't changed me ( my 8-10 of 10mg a day) i truly didn't know how much it did until now after being sober 25 days.
781991 tn?1237964779 E every Monday night (check your local listings) called Intervention. They show 2 every Monday. Usually an old one and a new one. It sheds light on certain people's addictions. Basically they find someone with an addiction problem. It could be anything.....pills...alcohol....herion...crystal meth...cocaine....eating disorders and I've even seen compulsive gamblers. No matter the addiction, it really hits home and if you've watched it you would know what I mean.
Avatar n tn I am fairly certain that my daughter is using oxycontin, maybe other stuff. I will have her back home next week. This is the plan we and other of the extended family are considering & I'd like your feed back. Have the family members get together with her for an intervention - (cept all I know is what they do on TV), i.e. basically telling her with our arms around her that we all KNOW but only after we have in place a place for her to go for rehab, if she chooses.
Avatar f tn I watched an episode of intervention the other night and the guy was clean from presciption pain pills. He said that the Dr. told him after being on them for awhile, your brain will not communicate with your lungs and you can just stop breathing at anytime, I did not know about this, is it true?
Avatar m tn Anyone watching Intervention on A&E now? You should see it, is about a woman who is addicted to prescribed drugs.
Avatar f tn Help please-- Just found this site----we (family) are going to try to do an intervention tomorrow with a family member. I am afraid of what will happen. She is on Xanax and alcohol. She has alienated her family and is sleeping and drinking her days away. any advice (ASAP) would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I used to CRY when I would watch intervention, because I knew I needed help so bad! you're not alone on that one, during the last few months of my using I would cry ALL the time to my fiance, and my roomate about how badly I needed help and needed to go to rehab. they were supportive of me quitting, but not leaving to go to rehab. They were afraid that everything would fall apart if I left for even 30 days. you know, bills, house responsibilites, and all that!
Avatar f tn Does any body ever tune in to the A&E show called Intervention? It's a tough show to watch but well worth it....
1401949 tn?1296043724 What my question is is how do you do an intervention?? What is the best method and how do I aproach the subject. I know she has to go on her own, but it is out of control and I am trying to figure out a way to push her possibly over the edge? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!
Avatar n tn Today, because of the fact that my employer referred me to a nursing intervention program, and not to the board, I have my nursing license, working steadily and even passing medications. I truly am a different person today and I thank God for it..best to you all along your way.
Avatar f tn t sit without being in tears and had to bail on a couple of college classes. I have been taking Tramadol since December for the pain and just recently had to take vicodin. The tramadol doesn't always take away the pain so I'd take IB800's with it or tylenol. My stress has been through the roof too. I take Lorazepam as needed for panic attacks too.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm katy, I'm 20 and have been on tramadol for over 14 months now, I tried to stop taking them last september but was struggling with all the withdrawal, so the doctor prescribed me with my own & told me to cut down as much as I could, so he put them on a precription so I get 28 once a month but they don't even last half - then I take my mums stronger ones, I don't know if I can get off them at all I've been used to them - and how they make me feel for a whilr & I
Avatar f tn The lack of knowledge of natural birth my obstetricians and nursing staff is widespread. They are trained in intervention and simple things like a slow labor are looked at as negatives that need to be intervened when in truth it's natural for some women to labor for days. I'm just giving an example. It's a sad truth.
Avatar f tn t need any special foods or drinks to help. Most women can successfully nurse without intervention. Buy a good nipple cream though.... Don't let those suckers get chapped because that hurts.
990354 tn?1307132886 Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Tramadol can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Tramadol should not be given to a child younger than 18 years of age. Tramadol may be habit-forming. Tell your doctor if you feel the medicine is not working as well in relieving your pain. Do not change your dose without talking to your doctor.
1315055 tn?1294367046 I have been taking 2 for a week now. I have to go back to nursing school jan 18th. I have 15 pills left. Should i just stop completely now or should i go a couple days at 1 and then a couple days as 1/2? all i have is all next week to detox, is this enough time?
Avatar f tn m going with nah. I see a lot of women trying to self induce to avoid medical intervention but often the method they chose is not 'natural' and they still end up needing medical intervention. But each to their own. My dr never recommends it and I don't believe in it but can appreciate that some women feel its right for their body and baby.

Avatar n tn I've heard over and over again on here that tramadol is absolute hell to get off of. Like people are complaining more than someone who is trying to get off harder opiates. What's the big deal with this drug? Can someone answer me with specifics? Also, is there anyone out there that has just taken it for a short time and then stopped with no problems?
