I am jumping next Friday. A little nervous but will be on vacation in Canada for 10 days starting the Monday after. Praying being out and about will help. I was up to 10 tramadol a day.
Thank you for your great and valuable advice. I saw my regular doctor today and asked if he would give me enough to hold me over til Tuesday and he was way more understanding than I thought he'd be. I am actually looking forward to working with the new pain management doctor to taper off the tramadol for good. It's gonna be tough, but this way I'm not doing it alone cold turkey.
Hey, CONGRATS on 4 days! That's GREAT! You should be feeling better in NO TIME! Before you know it WD's will be a distant memory! It's not a good idea to get started on the tramadol. As I'm sure you've seen ppl have horror stories about the tramadol. It takes awhile to heal after putting our bodies through the abuse! Hang in their you are doing great!!!! My usage got way out of hand. I was up to 1000mg a day. I'm hoping to go to work tomarrow or at least part of the day. My family DR referred me to a Doctor who deals with behavioral Medicine. I have an appt. tomarrow. From my seizure in Dec. my Doc prescribed Keppra I guess it's an anti-seizure medication. He said I need to take it if I want to drive.(for the next 2 yrs.) I can't beleive how I got to this point. When I found this forum it helped me to realize I'm not alone.
I found an old bottle (from 2004) of tramadol HCL 50 mg in the med cabinet, the bottle says take 3 per day for pain. For the last 3 days I have taken one per day, I don’t know if it’s helping, with my w/d’s, mostly mental cravings now, I kind of think it is. I have about 24 pills left in that bottle, with no intention of refilling and no intention of taking more than 1 per day.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. So this is my second time trying to detox off tramadol! I was taking a lot around 20 a day! This is the first time in 5 years I’ve made it to day 5. My rx refills tomorrow and the addict inside of me really wants to take them however the rational part of me says your on day 5 your almost through the worst of the physical part.
3,2011 and only took 1/4 of a 10mg pill the next day and that was it no more.As of to day Dec. 8,2011 I feel pretty good withdrawal from the done is not bad at all.Only if I took it sooner to get off of tramadol I would not of suffered for 2 and a half days.Only problem is I took methadone for chronic pain once the methadone is out of my system I'll have to see what kind of pain I'm really dealing with.that is one of the reasons I wanted off all pain meds.
today is my first day without any pills. i usually feel so sick right now but its not so bad this time (so maybe this time i can make it). i took hydrocodone two days ago only one pill 10mg. and i did take some tremadol yesterday and the day before to combat withdrawal. i have nothing left and i hope it will be better tomorrow. usually for me the first day is hardest and second is mild and third mild but getting better.
Today is my first day off of 6 lortab 10's a day and 10 50mg of tramadol a day I can tell u I'm very I'll any suggestions on easing the pain along with feeling physically I'll I'm a complete mess with 3 beautiful children a job and a very in understanding husband any helps appreciated and I have tried hot baths they lasted for as long as the bath did thanks again
During the next few weeks, I dropped to 13 pills per day. And 13 Sep 2008 is when I joined this Forum, I was at 13 pills per day then. Now exactly 4 weeks later, I'm at 7 pills per day. Still got a ways to go! But I am Happy with myself, I think I've done pretty well up to this point. I am nervous of what's to come for me in the next 48 hours though. I know the withdrawal symptoms are coming for me.
Ahh here we are again. Day two. I gotta let the tramadol go it's ruining my life. But my legs are awful... It's misery. I have taken vitiman c and magnesium is there anything else I can do?? I have had over a year clean before so I know I can do it. It's just so intense at first!!

After a serious lung illness in 2007-08 that is better but continues, I seem to have lost me appetite. Enjoyed food but just could not eat very much. Very strange..just felt full and sometimes could leave just one bite,which my husband couldn't believe! Had to cut way back on amounts & over time lost 85 lbs. Of course I was thrilled because I was definitely overweight! I thought if only everyone could eat like this no one would ever be overweight!
not to many pleasures in this rodeo i can tell you, my question is i have about 10 tramadol been having forever, should i take this to make it through work, i promise i do not need a replacement pill as this ride is enough to knocj sence into the hardest head, did alot of drugs in my time,never became addicted , not in me, but look at me now, i just had to get the pain mamagent going , so should i stay at work or should i take the tramadol for the 4 to 5 day sickness to deal with work???
