Avatar m tn I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?

Avatar f tn I have had a bit of a quality of life with Tramadol 50mg capsules. No sickness, no side effects and I am allergic to nearly everything! Thank goodness it is on the market or I would have committed suicide by now. The terrible depression and anxiety constant pain for a lifetime causes is much worse than not taking this medication for me. I have been taking it for about 3 years. As said in other comments, any abuse of medication can have ill effects.
Avatar f tn Tramadol has a bundle of side effects including addiction....hard to withdraw from due to their narcotic and anti-depressent qualities...i have heard people complain of alot of side effects while taking them...i guess i am confused but i thought u had an addiction to norco?
Avatar m tn Tramadol is Tramadol...Whether listed as Tramadol HCL or Tramadol. It's a chemical vastly like Effexor but without opiate properties. Think of it as a stripped down version of codeine with antidepressant properties. Ultram is nothing more than the Brand name for Tramadol and Ultram ER is a timed release of Tramadol. Ultracet is merely Tramdol and Tylenol in the same pill.
Avatar f tn I am so fortunate to be one of the lucky ones that uses tramadol HCL ( which BTW, is not a controlled substance or NSAID) and only tramadol HCL for everything that ails me. Good luck to all in finding your own miracle drug!
Avatar m tn There are preferred opiates drugs that are use in patients with liver disease that have shorter half-lives and have less harmful side effects on the renal system. Your liver doctor should be aware of these drugs and be able to determine if you may be able to use them. With regards to OTC medications, normal recommended doses of acetaminophen can be safely given to patients who suffer from cirrhosis in the short term.
Avatar f tn I found an old bottle (from 2004) of tramadol HCL 50 mg in the med cabinet, the bottle says take 3 per day for pain. For the last 3 days I have taken one per day, I don’t know if it’s helping, with my w/d’s, mostly mental cravings now, I kind of think it is. I have about 24 pills left in that bottle, with no intention of refilling and no intention of taking more than 1 per day.
Avatar n tn Red_Star gave good advice regarding side effects, as well as info regarding levels of stomach acid. Paradoxically, ingesting several tablespoons of cider, which is slightly acidic, will assist with GERD. Cutting to the chase the primary problem with long-term use of medications is cumulative liver damage. There are blood tests that can determine when this starts to develop. Gabapenten is (in my opinion) a nightmare on Elm street.
Avatar m tn I thought it was a problem with my heart so i called a ambulance and they done all the checks on my heart and i was fine. t is side effects to tramadol. Today i still feel weak and sickly and a little bit spaced out. How long does tramadol stay in your system for its been 18 hours now so frustrating.
Avatar m tn Side effects of gabapentin can be short- or long-term, lasting for hours or for several weeks or longer. Some side effects of gabapentin can be fatal. Discuss with your doctor any and all side effects you experience after taking gabapentin." http://www.ehow.com/about_5453074_longterm-effects-gabapentin-usage.
904511 tn?1251219733 Be aware that it make take 4-6 weeks before you see the effects of this medication but the side effects will begin much sooner. You may want to goggle the side effects are there are a number of them. Edodolac (Lodine) is a member of the pyranocarboxylic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works much like Celebrex or Ibuphren. It is one of the more potent NSAID's so please watch for signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal issues, including bleeding.

2030686 tn?1351688548 Chills, body aches, fever or flu like symptoms are all normal side effects of interferon. High doses of vicodin means you're getting a high dose of acetaminophen which can be very liver unfriendly. Those with hepc should not exceed 2000 mg of acetaminophen daily. If you must use pain management drugs for an existing condition perhaps you should talk to your doctor about prescribing something without acetaminophen such as a low dose oxycodone or Tramadol.
Avatar m tn you can discuss with your doctor about starting only half the starting dose initially to give you some assurance of its side effects. paxil can be sedating so most people take it at night. the top 3 side effects are headahces, nausea and sexual dysfunction. all of these resolve over time as the body becomes accustomed to the new medication.
Avatar n tn I'm in the exact same spot as "Beens", I was perscribed this by my new (soon to be old) MD for severe neck and back pain injuries from a car accident 20 years ago. I have always insisted that Dr.'s do not give me anything addictive. I had been on Soma for 9 years and it worked great but this Dr. thought Soma was a bad drug! She's just a bad Dr.! I never had any side effects or withdrawl symptoms from Soma. I was given a script of 2, 50 mg Trams. HCL, 3 times a day.
Avatar m tn I already know how the medicine is suppose to work, what I wanted to know is how safe it is to take long term,or at all.I read all the side effects and I am not sure I want to try it.It scares me,one of the side effects is to your heart, and I read on line of people dying from it.Need more info.
