Avatar m tn Where does it hurt? Try the excedrin migraine first I've tried Tramadol for headaches and they don't help me but we're all different. Can it be allergies? Yesterday I had a BAD headache all day mostly at the temples and I took 2 excedrin migraine with an alleve sinus pill and it took it away. It's tough, I know your pain all too well. Is it a headache or a migraine?
Avatar m tn Blurry vision is not always present with a migraine headache. Migraine headaches can also vary in symptoms and intensity. Some people may experience tingling in their lips. I have every had 2 very severe migraine attacks in my life and I was extremely ill both times, but with one I saw like a white zig zag line when my eyes were open or shut. The foods and drinks that can trigger migraines are: chocolate, coffee, cheese, oranges, red wine.
Avatar f tn I have been having headaches for several weeks straight now. Some tmes severe, sometimes with some sharp stabbig pain in the left side of head. I have had two MRI tests that show possible ischenic episodes with "white foci in the frontal lobe". My family dr thinks possible mini strokes, but I can't get in with a neurologist for three more weeks. I have tried Neurontin, Percocet, Tramadol, Ibuprophen with no releif. I just got a new script for Fiorinol and not tried it yet.
621290 tn?1226720261 I get some real nasty headaches when I withdrawal from Tramadol. That's one of the worst parts for me. I don't know if you took any Tramadol, but if you did, that could very well be part of it. I just really hope you come down to 2-4 mg of sub per day. I worry a little about you. You can do it, stay strong.
Avatar f tn Hope this is the right forum for migraines. I am a migraine sufferer, unfortunately I'm also allergic to NSAIDS. My only pain relief option is Tramadol however that is too strong for me. When I take it at night, and wake up next morning, once right out of bed the side effects of nausea and vomiting will hit me. I take it with stemetil thou. However sometimes I still feel the side effects. I'm under lots of stress, school and life related.
Avatar n tn For several years now (increasing in severity), I have had a regularly recurring problem with both severe tension headaches as well as migraine headaches (mainly menstrual related ones). Aside from that, it is common for me to have abnormally heavy, painful periods (as in, cramping until I cry). The problem with getting pain medication though, is that I have quite a history of gastrointestinal issues including stomach ulcers, acid reflux, and IBS.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your question. In addition, migraine headache frequency increases with the depression & anxiety. Counseling or psychotherapy, physiotherapy, treating related stress and avoidance of triggering factors by doing meditations/yoga can be helpful in recovering from the condition. Hope this helps.
15290316 tn?1447023108 I'm not on any antidepressants. I knew that Tramadol has an SSRI in it, but I really don't know what SSRI means. I definitely know what withdrawal feels like for me, and I know that the headaches aren't similar to any WD symptom I've ever had. Also, I only took the Tramadol for five days, so I know it's not WD from the Tram. The headache seemed to get more intense after I took a tramadol.
Avatar n tn I have had what they say is a Migraine for 87 days straight now. It’s not like everyone else’s migraines though as I do not have light sensitivity, sound sensitivity or nausea. Doctors have tried doing the cocktail through IV x 3 and never worked, tried zomig, tramadol, Botox injections, steroids, propranolol and the list goes on. I avoid pills as much as possible as I’m aware this could cause a rebound headache. When it comes on its fast and hard! No easing into it.
Avatar f tn But now I am so happy, so human, my brain is functioning. But I have a problem. I suffer from migraine headaches and even one day of tramadol seems to throw me into FULL BLOWN WITHDRAWAL. Is this normal? I don't understand. Also, I'm all but certain that the limited use of tramadol is affecting my depression. I took 80mg of tramadol just 3 hours ago for a migraine and it knocked it over. But now I am scared about tomorrow and the next day.
Avatar n tn Then it was thought that the constant pain in my eyes were migraines. I had taken migraine medicine only to make it worse. I now have to wait for a month until I can see a neurologist. I am pretty much losing my mind. I have tried every type of over the counter asprin motrin exedren you name it nothing helps. Do you have any suggestions on what might be causing this eye pain? Any suggestions on what may be helpful to stop the pain?
1690584 tn?1340297472 I have been getting migraines monthly during my period for years. Now that I am pregnant, I have had a migraine for 2 1/2 weeks straight with very few breaks. For me a chiropractor doesn't help because my migraines are triggered by hormones, not alignment issues. Migraines are common during pregnancy.
Avatar m tn I was knocked out for a couple seconds. Initially, I thought I was OK, I had headaches and tinnitus right afterward, but was told these would go away with time. Then, I developed Eustachian Tube Dysfunction followed by a nasty "staph like" drug resistant infection. I have tubes in both ears. Although I had headaches from the time of the blast, the headaches became much worse about 2 1/2 months ago. This was troubling because it was about 1 1/2 after the blast injury.
Avatar m tn I have been researching botox injections for the back of the neck, and other specific facial areas that seem to show very good results for migraine and tensions headaches. Have you heard of any similar studies?
Avatar f tn I am 22 years old and am looking for some answers as to why I feel the way I do. My doctors initially thought I had migraine (even though I have had migraines for 15 years and told them it was nothing like a migraine) but changed their mind when migraine medication failed to work.
Avatar f tn t stop that but I could stop the brufen and paracetamol that the doc has prescribed for this migraine attack. I wonder whether the tramadol itself may be causing the problem but if I don't help the existing problems I am then left with intolerable pain 3 fold and to be honest it's jump off cliff painful so not an option! I am not going doolally although that last comment was extreme, it's just the longing to be well is so strong and this is yet another set back for me.
Avatar f tn Ask your doc about Tramadol. I had to be put on prescription meds for headaches. I also have chronic migraine tho....pregnancy just doesnt help them.
Avatar f tn I have been on 60 Tramadol a month for migraines. I am tired of having the worthless and lazy feeling life. I am a 32-year-old mother and wife and want to stop immediately. Will taking small amounts of codien for a few days help with the withdrawal symptoms?
Avatar f tn midrin helps with headaches and helps sleep. the only problem is that there is a SMALL potential for abuse...but let me tell u, it's very rare for even a severe addict to abuse these things.....they do help with sleep. excedrin also helps...no need to get excedrin migraine because it has the same things in it as regular excedrin but it costs more. hydrocodone and tramadol are very very poor drugs for treating migraines. they really should only be used when nothing else works...
Avatar f tn I've used Esgic Plus tablets for over 12 years for daily headaches, which often turned into vicious migraines. My family doctor gave me samples to try when Esgic Plus tablets first came out. Taking only one, with my usual 'four times a day aspirin doses' didn't get rid of the headache. It did dull the headache. Taken without the aspirin, the Esgic Plus actually set off the headache to a migraine.
Avatar m tn I took Tramadol (prescription) for headaches. I had bad ones while I was on Tx and not just on Saturday and Sunday.
768044 tn?1294223436 Tramadol didn't work completely for me. It took us about 4 months to come up with Zomig and to take 1-2 at onset (early) and then another in 4 hours if this doesn't help. Because I have rebound headaches I have to be careful. But I have found catching it early I don't need as much medication.
Avatar f tn m only 18wks (had it severely with my first). My dr prescribed tramadol and said its the only safe thing I can take for my headaches. I just took my bp and its 130/102 so will see if it goes down.
Avatar f tn If u are on any medications for the cluster headaches than u could be having an allergic reaction to them or it could be the way ur body reacts to the cluster headaches have u had the rash with any other cluster headaches?
