Avatar f tn The doctor gave me Tramadol for my endometriosis pain. I have a full week of almost intolerable pain every monthl. Tramadol is one of the few drugs I can tolerate with regards to nausea (Vicodin et al seem to just make me puke immediately), and it does actually manage to relieve my pain fully or at least 80-90% (when I mix it with Aleve). The problem is this. I have to admit that I enjoy the Tramadol. It makes me feel good. Of course it does -- it makes everyone feel good.
Avatar f tn I have been off of Vicodin for 16 days. I have been taking 1 to 2 tramadol a day during this time. I am having major moodswings and anxiety and severe pain. I did not take the meds recreationally. I took 3 7.5s for a year and now 1 to 2 50mg trams a day. I was taking them for ruptured discs, compression fracture to disc among other things.
Avatar m tn So your pain doctor dismissed you but gave you the Tramadol? I was prescribed Tramadol many years ago for joint pain but it made me too spacey and didn't really help with my pain. At the time I didn't know Tramadol can also be very hard to withdraw from and needs to be tapered. I wasn't on it long enough to become dependent on it, but I know some people have had a hard time getting off it. I think you definitely need to start looking for a new pain management doctor right away.

Avatar n tn I eventually visited an MD whose office took walk in patients and explained to him my situation. He prescribed me tramadol for my problems. I discovered that taking one (on occasion two, if the pain was bad enough) would completely rid me of my pains. Since then, I had visited him twice to get more tramadol when I had run out.
954920 tn?1254429338 I want so badly to get well for myself... And to be honest, for my wonderful boyfriend, who has no idea that I have this problem despite living with me. So, any advice or helpful bits would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Avatar f tn Hi all. I have been taking 3 7.5 vics a day for a year. Occasionally 1 tramadol as well, for lumbar compression fracture degenerative disc disease and 2 ruptures discs. I also have a mortons nueroma in my rt foot. I started having a pain in my right side along with cramping which may or may not be endometriosis. I decided to get off the vics to make sure it wasn't side effects. I'm still taking 1 to 2 tramadol a day but no more!
Avatar n tn m basically at this point, through my GP, taking Tramadol for pain, Zoloft, Ativan, Donnatal for colon spasms, of course stool softeners/stimulants because my bowels haven't moved naturally in 20+ years. My husband's engineering position was downsized, so we lost our insurance coverage--no more Synvisc One. Although I'm on disability, I had never signed up for Medicare, because my husband's insurance was more than sufficient coverage for me.
8095314 tn?1396518162 Hey ladies, I am new to this forum but just wanted to see how yall cope with your endometriosis pain. It is 5:30 AM and I have been awake since 2:00 AM because of my pain. I have had endometriosis for almost 10 years now, and it has only progressed with age. I take Tramodol but I've been taking it for ten years and have built a tolerance towards it. Any other suggestions that could help? Heating pads, certain teas, etc? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I took tramadol for about a month after a surgery and now I am living with daily pain in both sides of jaw and back of head (base of skull).  Can tramadol cause that and does anyone know if it will go away...I'm miserable.  I can't even have a glass of alcohol socially or the back of my head starts hurting really bad.  I've tried a couple different muscle relaxers (zanaflex, parafon forte) and they didn't help.
Avatar f tn pain all the time in my left ovary and turned out I had an endometrioma (blood filled cyst related to endometriosis) plus endometriosis attached to many organs in there so go get it checked as your body is telling you something is wrong. All the best.
Avatar n tn Hi! Well, stomach cramps may not be really due to fibro. Debilitating cramping pain in upper abdomen is usually due to gall stones or severe acidity and in lower abdomen is due to kidney stones, trapped gas, ovarian cysts (burst or twisted) or bladder and urine infection. If she gets the pain again or is still in pain, it needs to be properly investigated. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar f tn has anyone ever been on tramadol for the pain that endometriosis/ovarian cysts can cause? if so, any thoughts on this? my doctor just prescribed it because hydrocone and tylenol w/codene doesn't do anything for me. i also take anaprox during the day for the pain which helps a little.
Avatar m tn I really feel for you because there is no cure for endometriosis. The symptoms can continue after hysterectomy and ovary removal although some women do get temporary or permanent relief. Hoping you get some relief soon!
Avatar f tn I agree; having been blessed with three children already, it doesn't mean you can't have endometriosis. I'm very sorry for the pain you're in. Unfortunately, doctors can't be sure of what they're dealing with exactly until the cyst is out. Good luck, honey.
306867 tn?1299249709 One of these occasions, the surgery was pre-authorized by the insurance co. It was for a laparoscopy. I had endometriosis surgery years prior. When they did the laparoscopy they found a fibroid tumor and NO endometriosis, but because the doctor put ....rule out endometriosis....it was stamped pre-exsisiting and they did not pay. I fought it , but as they hope you will do , you finally give up. Another time was after and auto accident . In this case I had double coverage. 1.auto ins.
Avatar f tn Honey, all of us on this forum has endometriosis....We all take different medications and some of us none at all b/c of side effects. Personally, I've been on vicodin and darvocet. Nothing really helps me and I can't take anything strong b/c we have 2 young kids and DH and I both work. I usually end up taking 800mg of ibuprofen and deal with it as hard as that is to do. Have you had a laparoscopy done? Did it help you any?
Avatar n tn Hi all, I was wowndering if anyone knew of any empathetic, helpful, pain management or obgyn doctors in the boston area? I was on tramadol for two years with great sucess but my new doctor switched me to percocet because of the pregnancy. The percocet, even though stronger than tramadol, does not seem to help as much unless I take quite a few....Three different doctors have told me to stay on the percs while pregnant....
Avatar n tn m allergic to this, developed recurrent mouth sores), tofranil + tramadol (gave me pounding on chest, nape and scalp plus, tremors of head though not observable by a third person, inability to sleep for 5 days except for 10 minute naps), cymbalta + tramadol + clonazepam (all made me sleep 18-20 hrs aday but successfully relieved me of pain for 2 1/2 months until my body just rejected the meds preceded by nausea just before actually vomitting them all one day).
Avatar f tn I was wondering what type of pain meds do your doctors give you for your pain with endometriosis. Especially with your period ? The most fun part of our disease . (NOT) thanks ladies! Hope ur all hanging in there .
Avatar m tn I've been having back pain recently which stems from something that I have had since I was a kid, although it seems to be getting worse as I get older. What will happen is that the pain will start in my back then move down my legs. Sometimes it hurts so bad that I can hardly walk. I've been to the doctors many times, but they can never pinpoint what is causing it. Anyway, the doctor recently prescribed Tramadol for the pain.
Avatar m tn He is the first doctor to suggest I get checked for endometriosis. So now I am doing research and trying to see if I have the symptoms of it. So if anyone has read all of this, here are my symptoms which have been getting worse the last few months since my period started again. Obviously I have chronic pelvic pain, it isnt really specific to one area.
