Tramadol for dogs 50 mg

Common Questions and Answers about Tramadol for dogs 50 mg

I was prescribed tramadol early this year for "Chronic Pain." The Dr. and the Pharmacist said that it was not addictive. I have not abused the Medication. I take 100mg 2 times a day. I have also been doing exercise and physical therapy for my pain. I decided to cut back and get off the tramadol a couple of weeks ago because I'm not having bad pain, and it has been aliving Hell. Just cutting down 50mg at a time gave me extreme anxiety.
I have been on tramadol for about 2 yrs. At first it worked for my pain and made me feel very good and ontop of the world. After awhile I had to keep taking more and more until I was abusing it just to be pain free. It was a never ending cycle running out starting to go through withdrawls and then getting back. Well today is my ninth day off of it and I am in pure agony!!! I do not know what to do. I do not want to go back to it but, I can not live like this. How long do the withdrawls last?
I have beeen taking tramadol 50 mg. 3xdaily as prescribed by my pain doctor for three years. I told him I did not want to take anything that was addicting - he said absolutely I would not get dependent on this as long as I took it as prescribed which I have done. However, he has affected my appetite (I have lost 40 pounds), my skin itches and I just feel icky all the time. I decided to stop, went cold turkey (no knowing that this was not good).
tramadol creates a sense of well being and no pain or anxiety at roughly a rate of 30 minutes per 50 mg pill, then takes you down twice as low as you started for about a day per 50 mg pill. tramadol creates anxiety in people who don't naturally have it. My friend took it as well and reports that this is the only thing that ever made him feel this way.
Hi and welcome to Part 50! Wow part 50. Please make yourself at home. Snuggle down. It'll be a bumpy ride but I know you tramadol Warrirors can do it!
Worked pretty good the first couple of weeks has helped with muscle pain but not so much with joint pain.. Also I am taking tramadol 50 mg for pain daily, for about 4 months now and it is not working as good as when I first started using it.. My eyes feel dry and slightly burning and my ears feel like they are underwater with a buzzing noise when I lay down sometimes. Anyone else get this feeling with tramadol? I am trying to figure out if it is my meds or just stress.
Hello I've been on tramadol for about a year, taking about ten 50 mg pills per day, so 500 mg. I didn't really keep track, though, it may have been more for a while. As I've been making my mind up to quit, though, I've maintained 10 a day for a while. I'm wanting to quit, and looking for input about my plan as well as just plain 'ol support. I originally took them for legit pain issues but honestly I don't know if I even have pain anymore. And I took more than I should have.
But those 3 days were not fun, but not a nightmare either. Now for someone taking 300-400+mg a day for a long time, those 3-4 days could be a lot tought I imagine. The problem with tramadol besides that it is easy to get and not very expensive is that it doesn't have a really pronounced 'high' feeling like the opiates do (Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, etc.) so you say to yourself, Whoa! I better be careful with this stuff, it;s POTENT. It just doesn't strike you like that.
My taper was 1,500 first day 1000mg 2nd day 750 third day 500 4th day (Trazadone added 50 mg for sleep) 300 5th day 200 6th day 100 7th day(Increased Trazadone to 100mg) 8th day CT 9th day very small wds 10 day no WDS at all 11 day reduced Trazadone back to 50mg and stopped the Chondline which was on its own taper from day nine but all through these 11 days I was on a Chondline patch also. You may also want to think about trying a ssri if needed which you will ask your doctor about.
Ya I just wanted to say, I had one of my dogs at the vet this week for teeth issues and I told him no tramadol, he said it doesn't do the same thing to animals. .???? How th does he know that?....just FYI. Have a great day..
I googled the pill markings and its def the same medication and same mg, (50 mg), its just a different manufacturer. Yeah so far doing ok but already, from just stretching the hours by 3 between doses, its wiping me out. I spent all weekend in bed, no showers, nuthin', Just sleeping or watching movies to zone out, general aches and pains, sweats... try to ignore counting the hours. Supposed to work tomorrow. Will see how i feel. Thanks for the encouragement.

Okay, I am up early for WORK today. Took EP's suggestion to allow extra "coffee" time before facing my job, so what the heck, I may as well rant while I drink my java. I slept really well last night - Yay. If you are in early withdrawal - there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Those sleepless nights and phantom pins and needles in the limbs will pass. Don't give up or you will miss the miracle. THAT miracle finds me this morning WITHOUT ANY pain in my surgical site...
