Avatar m tn thanks for the reply, and i am used to the buzz, before i ever touched tramadol the effects of alcohol were very present.
Avatar m tn I have a strange question that i cant find the answer for. I took Tramadol/Zydol for around 7 months. ever since i stopped taking it i cannot get the effects of alcohol e.g the buzz, euphoria. please note it is NOT a tolerance issue, i can drink and drink until im sick and not feel anything. (it was just to test how much i could drink/prove it wasnt tolerance) i have been in abstinence from Tramadol for about a year now, im really worried im permanently damaged.
1063254 tn?1259018398 i had an extremely difficult tooth extraction 4 weeks ago i spoke to my dentist and she said to just keep taking tramadol until i feel better as im still severly bruised around the extraction site ive been on them for 4 weeks and have been taking upto three times more than i should what do i do please help am i addicted?
Avatar f tn I am still so shocked that you went onto methadone from taking tramadol. Myself and others I know, when speaking of tramadol, usaully a nasty face appears and people laugh.
Avatar n tn Can someone please tell me how to taper off tramadol?? Or.. should i go back on suboxone and taper off that? Someone said No to that but I am having a hard time tapering off tramadol. Please help. I think I got off the sub too fast and started taking tramadol to help with the discomfort. I take about 6-7 a day.
Avatar m tn tramadol gives you quite a buzz. i found it quite effective for my pain when i took it. it caused seizures in me so i had to stop taking it. i was on it for about 4-5 months at 200-400mgs a day. i had no withdrawal symptoms. others have had different experiences to me though. hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I am only posting this because tramadol is not actually a narcotic( so they say) they are actually on the verge of making it a controlled substance. I was on a bicycle and was hit by a car and I stressed to them not to give me any narcotics because I was scared of being addicted again after I had defeated that demon. We'll let me tell you they don't get you as high as like a lortab or Percocet or oxy, but boy oh boy the withdrawals are just as bad or worse.
633961 tn?1222615789 The Doc gave me a Tramadol script last week and im curious about anyones opinions on it. Could I use it to take 1 or 2 less norco's a day? Any Advice? I mean om already on the Fentanyl Patch and tons of norco, but was curious if anyones had luck with tramadol....
Avatar m tn Please continue to read the tramadol stories and please go to the forum littlebit667 gave u on the tramadol recovery center. I would still be on this had I not come accross the medhelp site by accident. I was looking for info on a medication my mom was given and I kept seeing the word tramadol. I am slowly tapering off of it. I never got a high either and that's what *****. If I am going to suffer from withdrawl, you would of thought I got something out of it LOL!!
199177 tn?1490498534 I have hit the 7 month mark free of tramadol ,I also realized I spent 345 days of this year tramadol free ,for some of the newer member's I came here last April when I was detoxing from tramadol ,then I had a 20 day relapse in aug , I went back off the first few days in sept. So it can be done .....Never doubt that you can get clean if I can everyone can as well.
600086 tn?1238418989 You don't get any buzz or anything on one or two pills but I get a better buzz off of three or four then I do on anything else. I had surgery two months ago and was given dilaudid. That is supposedly a very stong drug. I found more relief with the tramadol. The docs say because it is non narcotic (but has narcotic tendensies) that it is safe. You get addicted to it the same way you do everything. The buzz and relief.
Avatar n tn PLZ don't take ultram ,It is not supposed to be used for people who are opiate addicted. There are many posts on here about people going threw hell to come off of tram ,if you put "tramadol in search you can read some . good luck with detox you can do this .
Avatar m tn I have taken tramadol, not long ago got no buzz and no pain reliefe, I had c-5-c6 replaced and c4 thr 7 fussed, dislocated l/shoulder, tore r/rotor cuff fixed and i have 2 herniated disc t11-t12 and i now have spurs around those 2 disc, so im in chronic pain. I done well with the pain while on suboxone it really kept pain undercontrol, soon as I went off it in march i have had nothung but pain.
209656 tn?1272297065 I just asked, because I did not know that other people get a buzz or high from this tramadol. For me, I do not..like I said, I can go with or with out. I am sweeting and shaking right now as I type from hydro w/d's, even having taken 1 about 3 hours ago. Tramadal seems to make my hydro w/d's a little bit worse to be honest with you...but it helps tremendously for my chronic knee pain.... AND I AM NOT GOING BACK TO HYDROS...I AM DONE....
Avatar m tn Just trying to get in touch again with all my Fellow Tramadol addicts. Come here to my group and join us in quitting Tramadol. Who are you and how many do you take a day? How long you been on Tramadol? I joined the Forum here on 13 Sep and was on 13 pills per day then. I am now at 7 per day! I took about 15 a day for 3-4 years there. Sometimes upwards of 20. But I was at 13 per day when I made the choice to quit.
5587604 tn?1370422748 Wow Buzz sorry to hear that you are on such a mix of meds. You have every right to talk to a Dr & tell them you have had enough with these meds. I did a c/t from 3 meds one of them a benzo..I do not recommend it either..Do talk to a Dr because they know your health issue.. But if you are alone and can take one away slowly at a time that would be good..Most likely you can not do this alone!
Avatar f tn basically any drug that gives u a buzz, the tramadol started w the doctor who gave me 3 a day, then in the end i would take a script of 90 in 3 days, and anyone who has abused, or took tramadol knows it is an EXTREMELY hard drug to wd from.
Avatar m tn good drug and bad drug both are addictive. Hrdo gives more pain releif with less bad effects but both have them. Tramadol ultram is just no good.
Avatar n tn If you go take a look at the discussion post for Vicodin/Tramadol you will find a wealth of information about Tramadol withdrawal, which is worse than the Vicodin. Vicodin lasts a short period and Tramadol can last for months. However, you need to do what you feel you need to...no one can make this decision for you.
Avatar m tn yes hi, i have posted this/these questions, i guess at a bad time like 2am--anyway, the questions are like this:1-i've been taking a dose of 10-20mg. of methadone now for about 6wks.i was using it to get off oc's & morphine.when i tried to stop taking the morphine, i "knew" i was in big trouble, as far as kicking without some kidda help.i have detoxed myself several times doing hydrocodone.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Fioricet (generic) for 20 years not and I have been ordering it on the internet so far wthout any problems. But today, they sent me Tramadol and I don't really know what the difference is. I am so use to apap/butatbital/caffeine so I really pissed of that I got this drug that I have never used and don't know how it will affect me. ALso I think this is a totally different drug.
Avatar f tn I am in the same situation where I'll be facing surgery and need to deal with Rx opiates. My PCP already knows I am an addict and we have a great working agreement. When it comes time to start sawing bones, my plan is to inform the surgeon and the staff of my situation with opiates. I will take controlled dosages, such as the pump or those administered by the hospital staff, but no written Rx for later.
Avatar m tn t enough to kill the wds completely nor did I get any type of buzz whatsoever, prior to the tramadol I could get a really decent buzz from 20mgs. I was on hydro/oxys for a extended period due to surgery complications, but when the doc said it was enough and I quit, i felt horrible for 3 days and then started getting better immediately, and although I still had cravings for a few weeks never went back to taking them.
