Avatar m tn just got a Rx for Zoloft for postpartum depression. how long before the tramadol is out of my system and it is safe to take the Zoloft?
Avatar m tn Does Tramadol have as much SSRI in it as Zoloft? Does 100mg of Tramadol have as much SSRI as say 50mg of Zoloft? I was taking Tramadol while I was going through Zoloft withdrawal and I'm just wondering if I stunted the healing process of my Zoloft withdrawal. My body and mind still don't feel 100% since quitting Zoloft, but it's definitely getting better.
Avatar f tn I have horrible depression and anxiety that causes mood swings, suicidal thoughts and intense anger. Its not bipolar since its not manic and doesn't go up or down.I used to be a heavy pot smoker which kept it under control. Well I smoked after my first son was born and noticed I got heavily addicted to it. (Bitchy without it and fiending it constantly) My doctor prescribed zoloft but I didn't feel any different and didn't change my mood at all.
Avatar m tn some here have had that symptom and some have not. It is a wd symp. for both tramadol and zoloft. I got a double wammy.
Avatar f tn So many people say NEVER take tramadol and Zoloft together and that they have ended up in the hospital after only taking 200 mg of tramadol while currently taking 100mg or less of Zoloft or another SSRI. Am I just being paranoid? I don't want to chance this syndrome. Please help me......I was never told of safe doses just told by doc if I had any of the symptoms get to the ER ASAP. Why take the chance? That is my feeling.
Avatar n tn I take zoloft and ultram on a daily bsbis. Is there any concern with bad interactions? so far I feel none.
Avatar m tn I was only on Zoloft for a month. I stopped cold turkey because I didn't like how they suppressed my real emotions. It wasn't a problem stopping cold turkey for me. I'm only temporarily using Tramadol to help with my Vicodin withdrawal because I stopped it cold turkey and I'm having very uncomfortable chills as a result and the tramadol is helping a lot. I'm only going to be using Tramadol for a few more days until my body recovers from not having any Vicodin.
Avatar f tn Has any tried ultram or tramadol? I read somewhere that they help the pain and they give you more energy. That sounds great if they wk.
Avatar f tn could any of you tell me how long I should be off of tramadol before j can safely take Zoloft please. I'm a mom of a new baby and want to be safe and not hurt myself or him since I'm nursing.
475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
1081265 tn?1256138365 ve been on Zoloft since 1995 and have never felt as good as when I was taking the Tramadol. I have actually wondered why it it not prescribed as an anti-depressant. I'd never take it again; it's just something that's crossed my mind. In any event, keep fighting. You WILL get through it - listen to the wise advice from those who know better than I. You couldn't have come to a better place for support.
1602919 tn?1297874013 Oh and I take Zoloft and Tramadol both 50mg a day.
Avatar f tn The best way to recover from the emotional fall out from Tramadol is to be patient and give it time. If you have a history of a mental illness, or if the depressive symptoms are intolerable, to the point where you're struggling significantly, then speak to your doctor. Some people DO eventually opt to go on an antidepressant. I personally think giving it time first is a more optimal approach. What are you doing for aftercare? Are you going to AA/NA meetings?
689267 tn?1235241749 are you talking about tramadol, ive just never heard the term SAM-e and zoloft
Business man2 The human body develops tolerance to the analgesic effects of Tramadol. That means, on regular use of Tramadol, your body gets used to it and you will need more of the drug to induce the same level of pain relief. The most dangerous side effects of Tramadol are respiratory depression , since it can shut down your breathing, and its ability to cause seizures. If the patient is taking certain medications for depression like Zoloft, it might cause a serious interaction called Serotonin Syndrome.
Avatar f tn I am scared to get off completely because I have tried before and feel completely like crap and fatigued beyond belief. Nobody knows about my Tramadol addiction and I want to detox without any of my family knowing, without it affecting my everyday life. Is there anybody out there that has detoxed from Tramadol successfully and if so, what advise do you have to make this as painless as possible. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
1081265 tn?1256138365 if you are on small amounts, it could conceivably make your dependence worse. Being on zoloft and large amounts of tramadol introduces another risk too which I won't go into here.
Avatar f tn It slowly crept up on me. I have tried the slow taper only to dip into depression and severe anxiety. I did cold turkey for 7 days, lost it and started again. How many are successful going cold turkey. Since I went back on, have been having wd symptoms very easy between doses. This never happened when I took it before. I would rather suffer hard shorter wds than slow and certain torture for months.
1351870 tn?1277732421 Interesting. Anyway.. thank you ALL on the advice in regards to tramadol. Who knew? I do take zoloft and suuposedly there is no interraction between the two meds. Now I'm just terrified!
Avatar n tn Oh dear, I don't know what else to say. I do wish you the best, though. And remember, there are a TON of Dr.'s out there that still don't know about the horrible issues associated with Tramadol. I'm just sharing my experience in the hopes you won't make the same mistake I did with this med. In my book, it's the worst to get off of.. the AD component to this med makes withdrawal 100 times worse.
Avatar f tn Oh- and I only took the Wellbutrin and Zoloft for a few days. Just wanted to clear that up. Good luck to you--Tramadol withdrawal is horrible, but maybe with some research and finding what helps you, you can do it without prolonged discomfort.
454371 tn?1221297385 Serotonin syndrome is a life-threatening drug reaction that causes the body to have too much serotonin, a chemical produced by nerve cells. Causes Return to top Serotonin syndrome most often occurs when two drugs that affect the body's level of serotonin are taken together at the same time. The drugs cause too much serotonin to be released or to remain in the brain area.
Avatar n tn I had no choice but to go back on and tapering did not help. I had months withdrawal even taking Zoloft. My opioid withdrawal lasted 3 days and was not as severe.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking 40mg prozac after over a 3 year addiction to tramadol and the occasional hydro.I haven't had any pain pills since Jan.7th and started the prozac the same time. My question, what other AD could I try that could help with motivation, energy. I just feel blah most of time. Its like I sit in a stooper most of the day and just do enough to get by. I've asked this before and some suggestion my AD needs changed. I have a dr. apt.
