So I'm hooked on tramadol, without which I can't really walk with my back and the detox is hell, and living in a country where I can get them cheaply, without a prescription, at about 50 locations within a 5 minute walk to my house. Good news: they do have AA here! Bad news: NOT IN INGLES, and my lazy butt hasn't learned Spanish yet. I've tried quitting cold turkey a few times and haven't made in more than 2-3 days. I'm still not drinkin though.
thinking about taking some more of it instead of valium. I have never been addicted to valium and honestly what ive heard about the Withdrawals from it.. it sounds horrendous. I am actually moving countries (moving back to my home country) and i think i'll get professional help over there. It would be nice to be clean once i go back home leaving my addiction behind therefore taking away a free therapy place wouldnt make too much sense as ill be gone from here soon anyway..
I have been on tramadol off and on for 3 years. I say off and on because when the scrip run's out is is usually for about 2 weeks, then I get it again. I sure wish I was strong anough to not get the scrip I have coming in 5 or 6 day's. Tapering off, weening yourself is best way, unless ther is ultra rapid detox, which, I do nont know about you, but I KNOW I cannot aford. I do not have a good support team here to help me. My husband is an alcholic (spledd right of course).
I have been on Benzos (Xanax, klonopin, Valium) and Methadone for 9 years now and no adverse side effects! The doctors urge people to keep them apart because you can overdose if not careful. But, you can overdose on almost anything with Methadon and I have a bottle of tramadole here with 500 in it and it's just trash cause I know it can put you into withdrawals!
Hi there! Aside interaction and GI absorption of medication, the body’s response also depends on the metabolism, dose, receptor status etc. With constant dose and metabolism, continued use of opioid medication is often followed by tolerance when increased dose of the same medication is required to produce the same effect, which is a likely cause in your case. Management involves withdrawing the medication for some time before restarting it.

Hi ChicaBooms! Welcome to our new home!
Hi Friends; Holy Mother of tramadol FOG! Early morning and all morning has been ... the height of suckiness. It got better once I just cried. I felt better after that. I think now alot of the emotional stuff is hitting me. I'm not numbed by a drug and I have 5 years of emotional cellular storage to work thru I think. May I Trust Higher Power to restore me to sanity!? I got an email this morning from my Mother who says she's coming here in September? I can't even think that far in advance.
Two nights ago, which was day 20, I was driving home from work and my Mom called me.She knows about the tramadol and the withdrawal. She also knew there was something VERY wrong with me while I was on it. But again, because she knew I had chronic pain and a DOCTOR gave this to me, she didn't say anything and wouldn't really have known to say anything about it. Anyhow, at first her voice sounded way too loud. Horribly loud. Like a robot almost. A metallic quality to her voice.
