Amitriptyline and Tramadol is horible interaction leading to Serotonine Syndrome. Had it once, before surgery. any SSRI is evil with Tramal. brrrrrrr.

You are correct about there the MAJOR drug interaction between tramadol and sertraline (Zoloft). Please note that there are several moderate drug interactions with your medications, for example, sertraline (Zoloft), pregabalin (Lyrica), clonidine, and methocarbamol (Robaxin) all can increase side effects such dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired thinking and judgment when taken together. It would be a good idea to review your medication regimen with your provider and pharmacist.

Hi mpace6983, all I can say is I had the same problem with Tramadol and I also got insomnia from Tramadol and hydrocodone. So, I think you could try Valium but that is stronger I think. Maybe you have a cross reaction with another drug too? I know you will get a better answer on this site. Good luck and hope your pain gets better.

I was thinking about trying st. John's wort for depression. I take tramadol for a knee alignment issue. I currently take 100mg-200mg about 3 times a week. I know there is an interaction with st. John's wort due to the seratonin increase they both cause. Am I able to take the st. John's wort on days I don't need the tramadol? If not, how long should I wait to take the St. John's wort after taking the tramadol and when would I be able to take the st.

It seems as if yur not on them long enough to really give you a chance, and taking you off 40mg of valium and methadone in 2 weeks is far to quick no wonder you relapsed. I believe I am doing pretty good, however I am 5 days post Norco and on my 2nd consecutive night of no sleep, 73 hours to be exact, can I use Valium 5 mg or 10 mg as a sleep aid?

t know about the drug use at all. I tapered off valium after using and abusing valium for 13 yrs. That was a long time ago. In 2007 I had had to w/d from fentanyl pain patches. My dr. got me through that, also. I know you want to do it ct but if you have much more trouble you might want to go the dr. route. It works wonders. Also, be vareful with taking valium as benzodiazapines are very hard and risky to come off of. How do I safely wean off Tramadol, Valium and Zopiclone all at the same time? I'm full of anxiety, nauseous, sweating hot & cold, and so scared! I used Valium to help me cope with the withdrawals from Tramadol, didn't have enough to last me till next script is due, so began taking Zopiclone. Now I'm scared of that med and need to get off it before it takes too great a hold of me.

I was put on 150mg Tramadol SR to be taken in the AM. and another in the PM. Also I am to take 50mg Tramadol 3 times daily, for breakthrough pain, as the 50mg is a fast-acting capsule. After 4 days, though it helped my arthritis pain a little, I began feeling a bit anxious, worse each day I took it. I've suffered with horrific anxiety/depression last year for over 6 months and never want to get that bad again.

It has been along time since I have taken any of it. But from what I remeber, If I took to many the ringing would happen. as well as some really bad cluster headaches....even vomiting... Do not know how many you are taking. but that was when I was on the 100mgs. and I would eat 4 at a time... 3or 4 times a days.. hope that helps some....

Since you are on a considerably high dose of tramadol yes, the interaction is significant and can indeed cause serotonin syndrome, Also since Cymbalta is a potent SNRI. Was the tramadol prescribed with by a doctor knowing you were using tramadol as such high dose and vice versa? Reading that is serotonin syndrome on the internet won't improve your situation. I repeat serotonin syndrome is a medical condition that rarely cause trouble. If you experience fever then its time to go to the ER.

Welcome to the forum~ I've heard of some dr's using a "5 day tramadol" method to taper down.....but your dr is suggesting norco, valium AND tramadol? Just so you know.....like said above, tramadol IS a semi-synthetic opiate.....it also has an antidepressant component in it. We have MANY tramdol warriors on this forum who say it is WAY WORSE to come off of trams, than norco (hydrocodone).

Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone. I was kinda bad and gave all all my klonopins to a friend (at the time she needed it, but I do have seizures so i must take benzo's), All i had let was 1.5 mgs of Klonopin, 0.2mgs Chlonodine, 1 mg ativan (another pill i found with the tramadol)., the 200mg Seroquel ( well right now, i cut them in half i i dont need it), Its hard to pee at the clinic when they have the random urins, and that 50 mg Tramadol.

SSRI anti-depressents can cause suicidal ideations as an adverse side effect.. I am not sure if there is a direct interaction with Valium. However, if someone has bipolar as you stated clearly an SSRI alone could easily induce mania and Valium can be personality altering and worsen that effect. These are safe medications to take of course but have the potential of these adverse side effects and an anti-depressent alone, especially an SSRI would worsen bipolar.

I am just curious about what vitamins and supplements everyone has found to be useful during recovery? I'm a month off tramadol so I'm past the withdrawal stage and trying to get back to "normal" brain function. Any advice on supplements and vitamins is much appreciated.

Hi, I just did a quick google on 'Tramadol and Veginal Bleeding' and found some relation between the two, and it might interact with other meds you're taking. Http://www.drug.com usually has good info. and drug side effects and interations. . Since I'm in a very mush jello mode today, I didn't spend much time reading every article I found. Try using your search engine and see what you can find. I've never had side effects like that........
