Avatar m tn I believe I am doing pretty good, however I am 5 days post Norco and on my 2nd consecutive night of no sleep, 73 hours to be exact, can I use Valium 5 mg or 10 mg as a sleep aid?
Avatar f tn Yesterday, I took no tramadol again and had all the symptoms I see described here--restless all over, unable to sleep, achy, etc. I took a tramadol this morning and the symptoms went away. My question: what is best here? Stop both of them? Stop the Tramadol and continue the percocet for a week(1 pill a night) and then stop the percocet? Stop both together?
Avatar f tn Its a opiod and it has the same potential of abuse but low rates of abuse because people prefer hydrocodones and oxycodones. But tramadol is a little weaker opiod and it also works on your seratonin levels so its little different. So treat it as the vicoden if you are looking at tolerence and addiction. I have bad headaches, migraines and neck problems. No tumor but its pain that debilitates me and i am often left feeling lifeless and sorry for myself.
Avatar m tn I'm back. My 2 a day dependancy turned into a 4 or 5 a day habit. This has been going on since I made this initial post. I couldn't do it. I've lied to the doctor and told him that I was still in lots of pain. I wasn't. My 90 bottle turned into a 120 bottle. Now here is the tricky part. I told him the 120 wasn't enough so he gave me 30 tramadol 200mg ER. I've only had coffee maybe 5 times in my life but tramadol is what coffee makes me feel like.
Avatar f tn I have tightness and a dull ache in both the lower parts of my arms and legs. This occurs usually towards the early morning hours while I'm sleeping. The pain wakes me us and I am unable to stay a sleep. Is this a sign of heart issues or perhaps a thyroid problem.
Avatar f tn I was on tramadol and norcos for over 10 years and was put on seizure meds due to the tramadols causing seizures! Stay away from trams they are the worst!!! You are doing great and can get threw it!
1035021 tn?1296820707 Hi, I'm a 36 yo male. 2 weeks ago I made the most stupid thing in my life by taking for the fisrt time a complete bottle of pure DEXTROMETORPHAN when I'm taking TRAMADOL daily, that day I ended in the hospital by a respiratory crisis, tachycardia and high blood pressure, after that I'm having like night panic attacks and high blood pressure moments that I control with an special med. I'm afraid everything is in my mind but I can't control it sometimes.
Avatar f tn The combination of hot bath and melatonin seem to help me sleep. Tomorrow get outside and try to get some sun it helps. Try a cold towel on the back of your neck it will help you to cool down. I hope you can get some sleep tonight. I know its rough but hang in there you will get through it.
Avatar m tn While not sleeping one night and looking through medicine cabinet came across some tramadol left over after my daughter's operation. I took one and it helped alot. Does anybody know if these will just put off my withdrawls or could they actually help me?
Avatar f tn Turns out Aleve is not broken down and passed thru the liver and tramadol is. I am back on Tramadol and have the hyperness and dry mouth but hopefully it will get the weight off. By the way, I have fibromyalgia.
Avatar f tn You have to stop taking the Tramadol 100%, before your sleep will return to normal. Taking Tramadol will only put you back at square one all over again. You have to get off 100% and HEAL. Your sleep is not going to return to normal unless you quit Tramadol 100%, then go 2-4 weeks without it. But 7 years is a long time to be on them. Did you do a Taper down to 1 pill per day at least before you quit? Or did you just try to go Cold Turkey for a while?
Avatar f tn I am debating whether use the cold turkey method or reducing method when coming off tramadol. I still have to go to work during this time. I am aware sleep will be disrupted, & I sure my mood will be low at this time. How long before I will feel normal? When will sleep return to normal?
Avatar m tn I'm on day three without tramadol my head fills like it's going to pop and tink feeling in my hands, can't sleep at night but still holding my job what can i take to help this.
Avatar f tn Ultram or Ultracet is usually what is prescribed for tramadol and with that only 37.5mg of tramadol is in those tablets. So 50mg of tramadol is considered alot according to "me". My doctor said the EXACT thing. Small dose. Do you know he even told me that I could take more and for alot longer BEFORE he would be concerened. Well, I took his word on that and upped my dose to 6 a day..2 in am, 2p, late afternoon and early even. Ya know..to spread out the good times.
Avatar f tn Well this is day 4 and everyone that was praying for me last night, and I know that there were some who were, I am still here. I have not been to sleep at all, someone told me yesterday that day three was the worst for coming off tramadol. I'm beyond tired and I want some sleep, but the kids will be off the bus in 2 hours and I have to keep going, also with the RLS I could not sleep anyway. Being the recovering addict that I am, I could not have tapered off anyway.
541465 tn?1219427886 HI, I normally take 120 mgs of methadone daily ( been clean off opiates or over 6 months now), take 2mgs of Klonopins daily, and 50 to 100mgs of phenergan (promethazine or promethazine hyrochloride, ) , AND 0.2 mgs of Chlonodine a day,. . . . .AND, 200mgs oF seroquel ( but only used for sleep. Im prescribed all the meds so this pill i found which i knew was a Tramadol/Ultram 50 mgs. Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone.
Avatar f tn I'm WD from Vicodin and tramadol, been on the vicodin for 6 years the Tramadol for 2 months and I'm on day 5 no sleep and feel so hopeless , on day 2 I took a Tramadol and was back to square one on day 3, I've decided I had enough with addictive meds, I just wish I could sleep, thank you for letting me share.
1350993 tn?1277493222 Still clean and moving forward on day 6 off Tramadol. Not having the typical stomach problems associated with tram w/d. I'm not eating big amounts of food, but feel so bloated and generally uncomfortable. Also, falling asleep has not been happening easily for me. Not much energy other than putting in my day at work.
511488 tn?1214620496 TO ALL OF YOU TRAMADOL USERS AND ABUSERS: I have been reading on here how many people are users and abusers of tramadol. I have a very important message for you that you may not be aware of. DO NOT take tramadol if you are already taking any anti-depressant called an SSRI (serum-serotonin re-uptake inhibitor). If you are unsure if your med is an SSRI, ask your pharmacist (many anti-depressants are). They is a contraindication with these two meds.
1512059 tn?1298296573 What you are looking for is a journal entry if memory serves me well. I don't know where it is off the top of my head. That being said, I do not suggest you use Tramadol for insomnia. Have you done any research on the drug at all? It IS addictive and can cause serious complications when withdrawing from it. There are natural supplements that can aid in sleep problems. Stick around and as other members come on they can help you with what worked for them.
