it is twice a day, i take for depression and hope to help on stop smoking and lossing weight and the Tramadol(not prescribed for me) 50mg taking for pain and hope weight loss. I do not even know if it is safe. buuuuuuuut anywaay. funny you are sunny66, I am mary66.......

The addiction specialist I saw is actually awesome. He put me on 7 days of neurontin for my pain and clonidine for withdrawal symptoms as well as remeron for sleep. I didn't even use the remeron though because neurontin makes me sleepy. I have heard neurontin can be addictive but I can say it was a miracle for the symptoms and I don't plan on taking it anymore. Just got me through the really hard days. I feel almost human again.

How well can Effexor XR 150 mg plus Remeron 15 mg help depression, and how long does it take to see any improvement?

I've heard that is one of the drawbacks for Remeron. I've only been on it for a month and no weight gain except the 5 lbs that I had lost from the terrible withdrawl side effects of the Paxil. My Doctor only plans to keep me on it until my body gets use to the Prozac....and I agree I'm ok on the Remeron, but don't feel as though it is helping me that much.

I do hope it is doable for me as I am currently on Lexapro and Remeron, and the dpa converts to alot of aminos that effect the dopamine/norph in the body. Will ask my Dr abt. this when next visit.

ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.

I would get a full 7 hours. The main problem with Remeron is the extreme weight gain, and the combo of Remeron and Ambien made me sleepwalk. Since I'm now pregnant, I'm not allowed to take these drugs, but found another alternative therapy. Lately, I've been taking two Benadryl at 11pm and then when I wake up at 3am, I take another Benadryl. I'm still not sleeping that well, but this has been the best therapy for me so far for pregnancy.

ve tried every single SSRI, all of the SNRIs, 1 Tri-Cyclic, Remeron, Trazodone, Viibryd, and combining them with anti-psychotics and mood-stabilizers with no luck. Tramadol is the only thing that touches my depression and nothing, so far, for anxiety.

Hey Leahy, not to worry, you did not sound like your adrenals were bothered, and besides, I think I had some adrenal problems to begin with and just guessed the Remeron threw me over the edge. I don't remember going off the Remeron, as I said I have no recollection of my two months in the hospital. When I got out, it was no on the list of drugs for me to take. You can google the drug and at drug.com or rxlist.com and other medicine websites, they'll give you tips on getting off it.

I have concerns because I am suppose to increase the Remeron from 15mg to 30mg if there is no change, and I KNOW this can be a HIGHLY addictive drug and hard to come off of. I dont want to start something that I cant stop if I have to. At this point in my life most days just getting out of bed is a fight and great feat. If I did not have my 2 boys I wouldnt but I know for thier sake I have to keep up a good smiling face. THANKS!!!

it worked and I was benzo clean for 1 1/2 years. Doc and I decided it was time to wean of remeron. weight gain was awful, and since I never had an anxiety disorder before, figured it would be ok. after a slow wean, jumped off remeron at 5mg. felt fine for 2-3 weeks. Then severe anxiety among other symptoms started. GP thought it was anxiety coming through. He gave me Ativan, and I was so desperate I took it. 1-2mg a day for just a week. kept getting worse.

I can't help you with the remeron, i have never heard of it. However I have the same level of anxiety and insomnia. I take ativan because xanax never helped me. Maybe if xanax isnt taking the edge off, try that?

I have been on Zoloft 150mg for about a week and feel more agitated, nervous, anxiety and still depressed so my psychiatrist just added Abilify (5mg) and Remeron along with a thyroid RX to my Zoloft 150mg. I feel this is way too much as I was hoping to change to a different SSRI instead but he didn't feel that would help. I've been taking Ativan .

I have migraines about every other day, and take 5mg maxalt for them. I was just given Remeron for depression, as the doc said i cannot take any SSRI's because of serotonin syndrome. I cannot find and interactions for Remeron, but just wondering if anyone else has tried these together. Any info appreciated.

I have been on the AD Remeron for 3 months and I have been very irritable and depressed this last month. The first 2 months Remeron helped my Depression. Now I feel like putting my fist through the wall. Was reading some dope on Remeron and found that other people have had leg pain, weight gain and high blood pressure from it. I see my Dr. today and will ask about it. That could be all thats wrong. Good luck to you.

I am a new user of Remeron and for the initial two days have slept for some 11 hours. I take a sleeping pill with this at night. Is this a normal course of events?

I was taking Remeron for about 2 1/2 months and it seemed that it was not working enough for the depression and anxiety so the doctor last Thursday switched me to Zoloft. I felt great the first couple of days but on Day 4 of not taking the Remeron but the Zoloft I started having chills, sweats, tingling, urinary problems, loss of appetite, and trouble sleeping. Do you think it is the Remeron withdrawals? I put a call into my doctor but she has not called me back yet.

What type of doctor should I see about this? My psychiatrist prescribed remeron, and she said she has never heard of remeron causing this symptom, and she doesn't know what the "tingling' is. So I have a choice I guess - be fat and free of wanting to kill myself or stop taking this Remeron and get myself back in the hell that is my severe depression and be skinny. It's no shock that this weight gain happened. My Psychiatrist told me flat out that taking Remeron is like wanting to gain weight. He said it is by far the most weight producing AD med on the market and he didn't lie. Sheesh! I guess I choose to live and be heavy.

i am on FMLA from work and really need to get this worked out before going back to work monday. the remeron i still had and i had a appointment with him yesterday and popped the as needed for sleep question he said ' that would be ok" he is an old quack i think, i tried to find another psychiatrist but it will take 3 months to get into see one. is the insomnia temporary?

Hello, my doctor put me on Remeron(generic) about a month and 1/2 ago to help with the withdrawl symptoma of the Paxil that I was getting off of. The Remeron (15mg) did a great job at that.... kept my anxiety down and let me sleep but hasn't really helped with my obssesive racing thoughts/worry . I've now been on Prozac (worked wonders for me 15yrs ago) for about 12 days and still on the Remeron. Two nights ago I began to tapper off of the Remeron. I went down to 7.
