I am on day 3 now with lortab. I did go thru the tramadol wds ct and they seemed to be worse than what I'm going thru now. that's not to say that this is cake. it took about 7-8 days before i started seeing a difference and about 12 days before I really felt good. Take the hot soaks and the 5htps. 3000mgs of L-Tyrosine along with the B-6 does help with energy. Take the Imodium as much as you need right now. You are at the hump Bud. It gets better from here.
then like a week later she was taking more and more tramadol...chewing them up...gross...she told me then flushed them...and then got RLS and had to withdraw all over again...bad idea...
Why is this **** being pushed on patients, I noticed the big push within the past year. My Dr. says "I take this myself and it really works well". He is the first of several people i have talked to that says it helps. Are the drug cos. givein DRs. perks to push this junk. Why is'nt there a cease and disseast in prescribing it, why don't Drs. listen to patient feed back. I hear that this stuff might work if taken in higher doeses that recomended but is very habit forming.
I have been on Tramadol for 3 years with lortab for break through pain. Tramadol has worked wonders for me. I have most of my active life back. Don't know about withdrawal as I have had no reason to come off of the Tramadol.
Was 1st day not feeling suboxone WD's, and 1st day with-out any subox at all. Monday.... same thing. Two tablets of tramadol in a.m., no suboxone. Yesterday I took 1&1/2 tablets of tramadol and did same thing today. So...today is day 4 with no suboxone. Now... I decide to research tramadol and came across these horror stories. S**T, I thought I found an answer. Tomorrow, I am determined to start going cold turkey.
Now I can try to break away from this tramadol (ultram) I have a full bottle of vicodin and a bottle of valium ... and a very strong survival instinct. Every morning I just hate having to take these 2 1/2 pills to start my day. Today I cut it to 2 1/8 of a pill .... and I felt the difference by nightfall. Tommorrow I watch the kid while they are packing .... and then it begins.
Then I went to a phycologist and talked to her about my eating dissorder and then told her about the tramadol and how it helpped me to curb my hunger. She said that she couldnt help me and that I need to contact a rehab center but it was so hard for me to get up enough nerve just to tell her. No one can help me. Im not the typical addict you know. Im well educated Im married with a small child and we are living in upper class america the big house and everything.
So scared!! I was prescribed a couple years back tramadol and lortab for some health issues and have been taking them daily. I just recently found out i am 9 weeks pregnant!! It started out taking them as prescribed then escalated into a higher tolerance and shamefully addiction bec i have terrible withdrawals when i stop them. I take A Lot of them but since findimg out im preg i have cut back to enough that i can tolerate.
i am 7mth prego. doc weaned me off lortab and gave me epidural steroid shot to help. not working im still hurtin like hell. i have a herniated disc and degenerative disc disease. now he wants me to take tramadol/ultram, which sounds more dangerous to my baby than the lortab according to my research. I have had physical therapy, chiropractic, massage therapies, herbal drink therapies and nothing has helped so far except the lortab. I am on medicaid so I dont have my choice of dr.
I have missed out on so much the last 2 years because of my addiction to lortab/tramadol. I lost my father to cancer I sat everyday watching him getting weaker and weaker, and right beside him I emotionally did as well.
I am recovered from an 8-year tramadol addiction. I just had a root canal done and they prescribed Lortab. Can I take 1 or 2 safely for this pain?
Here's my question, now that I'm down to one Lortab daily, would it be safe to take that in the morning, and Tramadol in the evening? What would be the proper dosage to ease my symptoms and possibly help the pain? How long should I take the Tramadol, and how often? I've read somewhere that Tramadol can cause serotonin syndrome? Is this true? If so, how and why? I am on 20 mg Paxil daily, and due to a bout with serotonin syndrome in my past, I am definitely overly cautious.
They take the 10/500's and average 13 of them in 24 hours. They are also taking Tramadol 50 mg and ambien, and ativan. Don't you think that 13 a day is a little excessive? They do have chronic pain, but really now is that much really necessary? RX is for 1 every 6 hours.
First off....avoid the tramadol....it's another addiction waiting to happen. I think you should go to work to keep yourself busy (as long as you aren't in ICU or trauma or cardiac care you should be fine) It will help alot to keep moving and to stay busy. I was taking 15-25 10/325 mgs at one time....a few times a day. You can do the math...that's a lot of drugs. Don't dread quitting. You can get through it just fine. Go into it with a positive mind set and it won't be to bad at all.
There is a place in CA that conducts the Weisman Method of detox, I know for Tramadol and most likely for other opiates and drugs. Google or Dogpile it and you should find it. For anyone very concerned with the w/d symptoms their process is to admit you into their facility (hospital like) and for 4 days they put you under anethstia (sp?) so that you sleep thru the physical detox pain. They closely monitor you, and most people return a better life in just a few days.
Anyway, for 5 days of ovulation if it's bad, the doctor will treat me with lortab 10/500 and sometimes tramadol. August was very painful in the heat and swelling, so it was both medications. My question about acetaminophen. Since for the 5-7 days I may be at the max dosage for both which is rare but yes for October and now looks like September too! Is this going to cause liver damage? Just because the I dont overdose doesn't mean that it can't hurt the liver.
During my taper, I felt like I had the flu (It was tramadol for me) and I had balance problems. Distraction and treating yourself with great kindness (as if you have the flu) is the best cure. The Thomas Detox really helped me alot, I am on Day 10 of cold turkey now. And I feel alot alot better. I hope it lasts! Love and Hugs!
Hi, My name is Steven and i am addicted to lortab 10s. I have been taking these drugs for about 5 years. When i first started taking them i was taking 3 or 4 per day and now i am taking about 15 a day. I want to know if anyone here can help me that has been through this before. I really want to quit this drug. It has taken over my life and i have got to the point to where it does not help me regardless if i take them or not. Please if anyone may have some suggestions please help me.
I not only took lortab, but anything I could get my hands on...Lortab, Percocet, loracet, Oxycontin, and methadone...I have looked into some of the rehab places here locally but they are so expensive and I am struggling so badly right now...
This includes drugs such as tramadol (Ultracet and Ultram) codeine (Tylenol #3, #4), Darvocet, Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Norco, Lortab and derivatives), Oxycodone (Endocet, Percocet, Oxycontin), Morphine, Demerol. Fentanyl, and Dilaudud. There are many other opiates not listed, so if you don’t see it listed, you can still use these suggestions if it’s an opiate based addiction. None of these apply to benzodiazepine based addictions. These addictions should never be dealt with by going cold turkey.
I have been taking Lortab for cronic pain in my feet and my doc recently prescribed Ultram. I read on a web site that they do not recommend taking Ultram if you have recently taking another type of narcotic pain reliever. Can I take Ultram? Has anyone else run across this?
Ultram is nothing more than the Brand name for Tramadol and Ultram ER is a timed release of Tramadol. Ultracet is merely Tramdol and Tylenol in the same pill.
I encourage you to look at my blog on detox options for more info on withdrawals and blog specifically about tramadol by clicking on my name and you may be interested in taking a look at my clinic’s website, www.mdsdrugdetox.com since we often detox patients with tramadol addictions.I know that you already read my bog about tramadol as I have notice and responded to your comment to it.
i would like to know from anyone that might know...is tramadol harder to kick than coming off of lortabs?? i take both tramadol & lortab...4 or 5 pills each every day. i'm also taking xanax...i really would love to get off of everything, so my life can be normal again. i guess i'm really more addicted to the xanax...as bad as i hate to admit it. can anyone help me???
I have been taking 150-200 mgs for several years and took Lortab for 5-7 years before that. I have thrown my Lortab out and now am trying to totally get off tramadol. Should I go cold turkey? I only had one yesterday, instead of my normal 3-4, and am feeling very lethargic and very unmotivated - perhaps some light depression. Is this causing this?
Hi, my name is Crystal. I have been on Lortab 10 for 2.5 years, and then tramadol for 6 months. I hated it. I'd see people walking around and enjoying themselves and they looked as if they needed no help from a drug. My problem is a buldging disk. Not such a big deal right, unless it was beat in your head by a doctor that something was seriously wrong with you. Several things......No Xray or nothing. Just here, take this twice daily everyday and you'll feel better. Boy did I!
I told my other family DR that I needed more tramadol and was going to order online and he said okay, and he would give me a script but I insurance would not cover it because it was too soon. He offered Lortab or other Narcotics instead because my insurance would cover it. That may sound strange for the DR to do that but its true... But seriously after the lortab/vicoprofen SHORT 1 month addiction. It was easy to get off, after the withdrawals.. I never had cravings or anything.
Hi. i'm 29 years old and curently live in malaysia. every day i use 20 tramadol 50mg for the last 7 months after my knee surgery.so many times i wanted to withdraw but no success. 4 nights ago i came back from a business travel which took me more than i expected and i ran out of tramadol.i got home in a pretty misrable shape and had 25 taramadol at once i woke up in a hospital and they were pumping my stomach and asking why did you kill you self?!!
) I was addicted to Lortab and Vicoprophen at different times of course and managed to come off after only a month of useage but it was hard. The 3rd day was the worse, the med is evil. On the 3rd day this demon will make you really deppressed, feeling almost suicidal and cause much much pain as well as chills and other side effects. Well after the 3rd day you are basically home free... But the 3rd day makes it worse because the Lortab is telling your brain that it needs the drug.
