Avatar f tn Hi. Has anyone out there been successful coming off tramadol? I have beenbtaking 8 50mg for the past month. I also take seroquel, lamictal, lexapro, st johns wart, l tyrosine all for depression and bipolar. Will I have serious withdrawals if I quit now? Will all my depression meds help soften the blow mentally? Anyone been ok when xeroxing off tramadol??
Avatar f tn just wanted to know if there is any interactions or bad side effects from using lamictal and tramadol. I take lamictal every day for bi-polar, although I don't see any improvements for it...just makes me irritated and anxious. I also feel depressed more than usual since I started taking it, and not able to concentrate/focus on my work for more than minutes at a time. I take tramadol-12.5 to 50 mg every other day for recurring back pain or body pains from running or working out.
Avatar f tn Two questions: I have chronic pain resulting from a craniotomy (had brain surgery for refractory epilepsy and a brain tumor). I see people recommending the drug tramadol....is it helpful? I've tried many different meds, have been going to RUSH pain center in Chicago for 3.5 years (had surgery 8/07), but not tramadol. Drugs have been a little helpful, but no riproaring successes. If tramadol can cause seizures, though, as I might have heard, I won't touch it....
Avatar f tn Does anyone know how long it takes to withdrawal from tramadol? I am in the process of tapering and want to know when the worst sets in how long I should take off work.? Also I am on seroquel, lexapro, and lamictal for bipolar so I'm hoping because I am those that the mental withdrawal might not be so bad. Is that just wishful thinking or possible? Please share your thoughts and experiences. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I also taking seroquel, lamictal, lexapro and l tyrosine for bipolar depression. Do u think the withdrawal from the tramadol will be bad? Should I taper? What should I expect? Please help me. I'm scared. Thanks.

Avatar f tn I currently take generic Zoloft and also take tramadol for low back/hip pain. I take about 150-200 mg/day and have the same problem when I try to wean off. I was down to just 50/day, but was having anxiety and naseau and would easily get depressed and angry. I hate having to take pills, but they help and get me through the day as a happy, "normal" person.
1116472 tn?1260075052 i know it is also a seizure med, and my bipolar issue is WAY more important. How much of the lamictal will be helping for my actual bipolar? I'm trying to understand, the doctor said it will treat both, but i need to be sure that the motivation was not for epilepsy, because that takes a backseat to bipolar, as i have only had a couple seizures, and am not diagnosed epileptic, and my MRI showed nothing of the sort.
997928 tn?1252444237 I've done okay with lamictal, but lamictal and celexa, not so good. And now lamictal with wellbutrin, not so good. At least I think it's not the lamictal. I know my PsychNP put a big no in her notes regarding me and celexa.
Avatar f tn Yes I'm on lamictal 200mg daily and Seroquel 300mg daily. I cant believe and I believe you free that trams are a antidepressent. I Cant take antidepressents.

Avatar f tn I have been on lamictal 100mg to 150mg, and I haven't noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.
1081265 tn?1256138365 re having to deal with this. I was taking Tramadol for months, as prescribed, and still got hooked. I got through the w/ds only because I also have scripts for Zoloft, Lamictal and Klonopin. (The Klonopin is another story - I am addicted to it, and am planning a slow taper from it beginning with my next script.) But I think you hit on the allure of tramadol - it does make you feel GOOD, and I know for a fact dopamine is involved.
Avatar f tn It should work once it reaches an appropriate dose. Occassionally at higher dosages Lamictal can sometimes worsen mania but it takes time and a psychiatrist has to see how they are responding in general. Keep a mood tracker here and print out the results for your psychiatrist and ask them to follow up.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed Bipolar II with minor depression and was put on Lamictal teetering up 25 mg every 2 weeks with 150mg Wellbutrin (Zyban) the aim was to reach 200mg and see how I feel, by the start of the seventh week, I got tiny itchy patches on my cheeks that flaired up after I took the Lamictal… so stopped lamictal, (remained on the wellbutrin) and went on an antihistamine (Atarax) for a 2 weeks 25/50mg, did some surface (72 hour skin contact) allergy tests and came negative for Lamictal so I w
Avatar f tn t take Vicadin either I got total insomnia from it. The Tramadol, I was ok for a while then got shortness of breath and anxiety and then insomnia. I took it for a month and was on the lowest dose once a day and I had withdrawal for 5 days. One day I had severe back pain ( much higher than my normal back pain), slight tremors, overall feeling of sickness, shortness of breath etc. I see no way of getting out of withdrawal. But you are strong you can get off of it.
483757 tn?1208481255 D and Tramadol) The only thing she will allow me to take is 1/2 to 1 tab of Vicodin 10/500mg a day even though narcotics have NEVER worked for my pain and she knows that- and I hate Vicodin. At every appointment, I tell her that my pain is worsening and unbearable but her only suggestions have been more narcotics and warm water exercise. I have even tried safe essential oils, herbs, vitamins and massage.
Avatar m tn I was taking Bupropion and Lamictal, and switched to Effexor. I have been on Effxor for three weeks. I have had the worst fatigue I have ever felt. So now I am unsure if it was coming off the Lamictal or if it was the Effexor. I am going to stop the Effexor, but I don't know if I should go back on just the Lamictal, The lamictal When I first started taking it, up to 200 mg worked fairly well. I guess my question is, is , has this kind of fatigue been know to be a side effect with Effexor?
Avatar f tn I have seen a ENT doc and my hearing is perfect, nothing else is wrong, only the Lamictal that I am on. My doc one day said oh the ringing could be because of the lamictal which made me start obsessing over it, did not help, and now I have started weening myself off the lamictal but it is not an easy road. I was on 100mg then went down to 50mg for a week now I am down to 25 mg and valuim to take edge off, I hate the way I am feeling and the panic attacks or anxiety are hard.
Avatar n tn I struggled with repetative harmful thoughts although I do not use marijuana. I am on lamictal also, and my doctor added Abilify when I started having this problem. It helped me out a lot. I hope he feels better soon! I know how hard it is to deal with such negative thoughts.
Avatar n tn Ive been on lamictal for around 5 months. added to depakote and has changed my life (diagnosis bipolar). i can actually get off the couch. I have been trying to lose weigth for a while with no avail. Started lamictal: nausea and some light cramping. although hungry, sometimes I can't eat. Avatar f tn I was diagnosed about a year ago with Epilepsy and put on Lamictal. My question is, when God willing the time comes, what is the track record with these drugs and pregnancy and breast feeding?

Avatar f tn I am on 200mg of lamictal and am keen to try ipl hair removal. Beautician thinks the lamictal in my system might cause bad side effects such as blistering. Has anyone had experiences with this hair removal treatment whilst taking this med?

473760 tn?1215219977 I am a 28 year old woman and I have been taking Lamictal (150 mg/day) for about 6 months. I just went to have my annual physical and during some of the tests I have come to find out that I have a small ovarian cyst. I have never had this problem before and I am incredibly punctual about annual physicals and what not. This is not the first time I have had this test, and nothing has ever shown up before.
