I’m not sure how to do it. I’m on 400mg Tramadol / day (100mg 4 x day) Can I use Tramadol and Kratom together ? How much Kratom and when ? Can I simply replace part of the dosage with Kratom ? I have a spinal injury and in constant pain. Thanks for all the advice.

I am a professional and a well known in my community. and have had this secret addiction for 10 years off and on but now the time has come to quit after my addiction has gotten me in legal trouble manipulating a prescription. I knew this was coming...I have been off tramadol for a week but after two days of ct, I had a dental surgery which gave me me oxycodone which I have tried to use sparingly to deal with the withdrawals of tramadol.
i found out the hard way if you use to much kratom it will make you sleepy and give you a killer headake...
So I pick it up at FedEx the next day and WOW, I couldnt believe how easy it was to get something so potent. It was great! I started doing more reasearch and even found kratom and ordered it, it wasnt the same high but I still couldnt believe how something legal could work so well. Anyways, I used the tram pretty regularly for the next 3-4 months, getting up to 11-15 50mg a night. At this time, I only took it at night when I was off work and home from the gym.
I was prescribed Kratom for a spinal injury but now the Tramadol is making me feel sick and I need to quit! I’m on 400mg Tramadol / day (100mg 4 x day) Can I use Tramadol and Kratom together ? How much Kratom and when ? Can I simply replace part of the dosage with Kratom ? Thanks for all the advice.
make a tea from using a ratio of 1gm of crushed kratom to 1 oz of water and boil the hell out of it for 30 min strain it add sugar and chill in the fridg ... about 8 to 10 oz of tea will give you about 7 to 15 mg of kratom... that is a mediun dose doses higher than 20 grams will make you feel very sleepy.... lower doses will give you a stimulation effect...
Most of you longtime posters here know me and i wanted to share something with you. I have been experminting with Kratom for the past month and wanted to share something with you.. I have been using Kratom to manage my pain and get my energy back with wonderful results. I have been using it off and on for about 4 weeks now and it works great to stop my pain with no ill side effects. It has had no addictive properties with me .. I can use it for a week and stop for 4 or 5 days with no WDs.
I used TRam for 2 years for low back pain and i was taking 10 50mg tabs a day. My question is What is the best way to use Kratom for the withdrawls? Is it better to make tea or smoke it? How much do i need to buy my first time using it? Where is the cheepest place to get it as my financial situation is not at its best. Anyone that used or uses KRATOM can you offer any answers to my questions.

I know y'all are probably getting tired of seeing me complain about kratom but here goes again. A simple Google check and you will find a lot about kratom. I begin using shortly after being clean from a 150 mg hydro habit. At first I barely noticed the effects probably from high tolerance. Then one day after about a week using it I realized I loved it. Now in some way I'm hesitant to discuss it here for fear of giving others a bad idea. I strongly urge younot to mess with it.
Thank you so much for your suggestions and for your time. Tomorrow is my last day of tramadol and I am praying my kratom arrives tomorrow.
I got some thai kratom capsules saturday for my tramadol withdrawl. I have no idea how many to take or how long in between doses. So far I've been taking handfuls of caps every 4 hours or so and I feel pretty great in a natural sort of way except for sleep. They are expensive, though, so I wish I had some sort of gauge as to how many. I'm an addict, however, and so if i feel nothing i take more right away. I'm probably taking way too many....can there be negative effects from too much?
Welcome to the forum! Tramadol is a totally synthetic opioid and also has an antidepressant component in it so can be more difficult in some ways to w/draw from but can absolutely be done! I read in your other post that you get these pills online...which also means you aren't guaranteed what's actually in them, ya know? Using Kratom is probably not a good idea....
I'm now at four and will probably stay on it at that dosage. She will probably be sad, out of sorts, and anxious while she is coming off, as tramadol has an antidepressant effect, and her body will miss that effect. Hang in there! If she'd like to join the forum chat, she would be very welcome. I wish both of you all the best!
About 4 months ago, I became involved in a fairly intense project and was experiencing more discomfort. Without really thinking much about it, I started using tramadol every day and then increased this to 2-3 times each day. The dosage was 100mg, so I was taking 100-300mg daily (or 2-6, 50mg pills) for 3 months. After I finished the project in mid-may, I decided that I needed to stop using a drug to get through the day, so I tried to just stop taking it. WOW!
It'd hard to find info on kratom but somethings I've read are it may be similarto tramadol. This makes sense given my withdrawal length and the horrific anxiety and depression. A darkness I've never experienced. No matter what I kicked that mother-f##### a##!! Sorry just a little bit proud! The good news is there is an end to the nightmare of acute wds. It took me 11.5 days. Now I'm looking fwd to my 2 week anniversary.
I used an herb that grows here called Kratom (Mitragina speciosa) to help me get off of Tramadol and it worked. I had tried to stop the Tramadol by tapering off but the with drawl symptoms were just too brutal. I'd say the with drawl symptoms were reduced by 70% with the Kratom. Kratom is a serious drug that is addictive and illegal in some countries, not a cute herb. It is not an opiate though and it did not trigger any addictive response with me after 2 weeks of use.
Today is my 13th day cold turkey detox from a 7 year heavy addiction to Tramadol And Codeine Phosphate. My typical day was 40-50 x 50mg Tramadol, (10x50mg every 90 minutes) then I would "finish" the day with 12-24 x 30mg Codeine Phosphate, 2 "sittings" of 12x30mg, I was prescribed these by my GP after a martial art injury for years, no questions asked, no alternatives sourced, In no time I was hooked to these meds and a typical 2 week prescription was only lasting me 2 days!
I just don't want to do it all at the same time, as I'd have to do if I tapered and then jumped off Tramadol, and dealt with the full force of the opiate-like withdrawal AND serotonin AND nor epinephrine discontinuation syndrome. Yikes. Again--I fully respect those who have done this. So far today all I've taken is 1 Zoloft and 1 Wellbutrin. It's noon. Opiate-wise I think I'll push this as far as I can comfortably do today, without alienating my loved ones.
First, thanks to all those that post on this board, I've read many threads here about Tramadol addiction and they've been most helpful, and helped make this detox less hellish. The reason I'm posting this new thread rather than adding to the already plentiful threads revolving around the same subject is because I have some additional concerns not already covered in the other posts. I want to know what comes after the Tramadol.
because I have used tramadol in between scrips..(but they never stood a chance)...and then I would get hydros and quit the tramadol... I am on Day 28 from 18-20 hydros a day....and I took 3 tramadol on day 4 and day 5...which did not seem to help with anythings...so I quit taking the tramadol...and had to side effects. I was just wondering, you said that your took tramadol in place of opiates...hydro's, oxy, percs...and went through meth treatment 4 years ago....Just be honest...
I'm seven days clean CT from Tramadol but only because I can get a few percocet tens a day. I don't have the funds to get large amounts of narcs on the street so this, I believe, is a good thing as far as taking the steps to quit everything altogether. I've been on Tramadol every day for four years. I started from taking one to two to as of seven days ago, 20-25 50mg tabs a day. Five at a time.
I have been on tramadol off and on for 3 years. I say off and on because when the scrip run's out is is usually for about 2 weeks, then I get it again. I sure wish I was strong anough to not get the scrip I have coming in 5 or 6 day's. Tapering off, weening yourself is best way, unless ther is ultra rapid detox, which, I do nont know about you, but I KNOW I cannot aford. I do not have a good support team here to help me. My husband is an alcholic (spledd right of course).
It helped me tremendously to alleviate the mental torture and cramping associated with Tramadol withdrawl. Kratom however is an addictive drug in it's own right and must be viewed as a temporary tool for recovery. It is a controlled substance in some countries in S.E. Asia. It's also the most foul tasting stuff around. It is available on many internet sites in North America. I introduced Kratom slowly while reducing my daily in-take of Tramadol.
and Kratom....and Weed....and Lyrica...and your opiate receptors haven't even had a full 24 hrs yet to begin healing. Your central nervous system doesn't know what to think....so I hope you'll stick with the basics (aleve, imodium, protein foods nutritional supplements) and allow your opiate receptors to begin to heal. Each of those mind altering chemicals carry their own w/drawal symptoms...
I am becoming somewhat frustrated with the way a lot of my colleagues practice medicine. Disenchanted, angry would be the other words that could be used. We all get ostensibly that same training and all of us are supposedly in it to help our patients. So, how come have I been getting so many letters lately on my addiction forum from desperate people unable to quit taking the tramadol pills that their own kind doctors have so freely prescribed for them?
I had literally felt handcuffed to tramadol and now I feel some hope. Thanks guys so much for all your support and just for listening and understanding.
The longest Ive managed to go without tramadol is 3 weeks and for the whole time I couldn't sleep and I just cried all the time and my energy levels were at an all time low. My doctor has been brilliant in helping me through this but I saw a psychiatric nurse who told me this was all in my head and that tramadol isn't an addictive drug and depression was just stress due to a few money worries I have. If anyone can answer all or some of the questions I have I would be really grateful.
