My husband chose to call 911 because i was stubborn about going to the hospital but when i got there, I was in 100 percent acute kidney failure from this. I had to have dialysis and so forth and was sick for a very long time. Luckily they went back to normal. So do what ya gotta do!!! I care.

Res-tested her blood 14 days later (she was back to acting normal, infecting healed, still on fluids and meds tho) and I was astounded her levels were still very elevated, they were lower than the 1st test and lower than the test during the infection but still so far out of range my vet said there is really no more hope it could be an Acute situation and this seems to be renal dysplasia a chronic kidney failure condition.

I got tramadol 50mg todays and thought I would try 5 tablets of hydro 7.5 and 3 tablets 50 tramadol to see if this will help me slowly decrease hydro/acetiminophen and increase tramadol. Then reduce tramadol because i heard it is easier to shake. The second vet did a blood test and confirmed that he was in 3rd to 4th stage Chronic Kidney Failure, his blood results were so high because he was vomiting about three times a day because the original vet gave him a medication called Clavamax (for his UTI infection), which ended up being way too strong for him. Urine test shows presence of blood AND protien. Urine is cloudy off and on when pain is present and often when pain is not present as well. I am 31 years old. Female.

I will go home and add another 250 cc The UA displayed crystals not normal more like antifreeze but there is NO way i have looked everywhere high and low it is impossible. My 6 year 10 month Russian Blue male cat was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with kidney failure. His only symptons were a bout of vomiting and lethargy. His blood work was quite elevated, BUN 83mg/dl, CREA 5.1mg/dl, PHOS 8.8mg/dl. He has been given fluids twice and we have been giving him Azodyl capsules twice a day. Renal anomalies could be responsible for decreased or deranged renal function and may lead to renal failure. One working kidney is enough for normal functions of the body. It would be difficult to comment if your other symptoms could be related. I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with your treating nephrologist. My 8 year old Golden Retriever was just told Kidney Failure. levers are super high. over 117 BUN Crea 7.2 he was in the hospital for two days on IV fluids. When we picked him up he was in worse shape then when we dropped him off. I don't understand I decided I was not going to give up him. He needs to eat will not touch the KD diet. been giving him boiled chicken and hotdogs. Any help on low protein foods appreiciated.
