HI, I have been on Tramadol for 5 years. I had severe pain before I got a hip operation and kept on tramadol after it. I tried to quit a few times and the pain came back and I started up again. Three days ago I decided to quit for good. I was getting bloated, could not loose weight. I was getting depressed, anxiety, tired etc. I kept working out and excercising. No results on the weight loss. This time I started getting severe pain in my hip, drop leg, tingling in the leg.
Please make yourself at home and snuggle down. It will be a bit bumpy, but worth it!
Good Evening Tramadol Warriors! Welcome. Please come on in. You are most welcome to snuggle in and make yourself cozy & comfortable. It can be a rough ride. But better with friends. All are welcome!
to help clean and cook a meal). He says he *can't live like this* and I try to talk to him and he snaps at me and says he needs to get out and leaves me home alone and I'm stuck. I know it's hard for him, but what can I do? My son moved to China and I am all alone, I am scared and so sad. I have no one else. I was trying to cope and do meditating and breathing (thanks omhome, dalubaba) but it doesn't help my personal situation.

Her liver, and pancreas levels are very high. Her urine also has a high level of protien. Dr put her on clavamox, tramadol, metronidazole, and famotidine. Her other test came back that she had pancreatitis. Dr said very bland diet. We even stopped giving her samples of what we were eating. A week later her blood work showed that her levels came down a lot. So we thought it was her diet. Her 3rd test thelevels went back up again.
They only last a few seconds. The build and peak like labor pains. Say I'm in the kitchen and I'll feel it coming on so I have time to brace myself. I'll set down whatever it is i'm holding and get ready. I have to cross my legs, bend my knees, hold on to something, clench my body tight, and try to breathe. Thank God it only lasts a few seconds. My 14 yr. old son witnessed it yesterday and tried to call 911. I kept signaling him not to. I knew it wouldn't last long. My gyno.
I have talked to the neurosurgeon who did the surgery and he shrugged his shoulders and said I have no idea and sent me back to my neurologist. He gave me a series of injections in both shoulders and the pain stopped for a couple days but then came right back. Then we tried message therapy, it helps but only for a short period. And I have tried changing my pillows on my bed and sleeping in different positions and nothing seems to help for long term. What can I do?
I have a couple questions for you guys. How many narcotics and what were you taking? Did you just stop taking your DOC and then the next day you started the Immodium? What withdrawal symptoms did it help? Did you have to take it with grapefruit juice or Tagamet heartburn meds to make it work right? I really want to get off the pulls but I can't have the "flu" for 5-7 days. I have 2 little ones to take care of and a full time job.
However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.

I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
A few months ago when I thought it could not get any worse, I realized I couldn't continue with the vaginal pain I was having and the whole not even being capable of sexual intimacy, as if the other stuff wasn't bad enough. I went to the OB/GYN thinking "ok this has got to be simple and there's nothing wrong I'm sure". I made an appointment to get into the dr a few days before seeing my honey in CA thinking this will be at least one quick fix.
-I saw a gastroenterologist who put me on Protonix. Ugh, vile stuff. Never again. -I was on Xanax and tramadol for a while. I liked Xanax a lot and combined with tramadol at night I was able to get some sleep. My wife said I wasn't all there when I was on Xanax. She said it was like I was on auto-pilot a lot which was true. I stopped after about a year and a half. -I'm sure I've left some things out but that's all the comes to mind right now.
I have fibromyalgia and I decided to go off tramadol a month ago and see what I can find to handle my pain naturally. I have been doing research and found that many people with chronic pain use poppy seed tea in times of very bad pain. Does anyone know anything about it? I did see in my research that someone did over dose and die while taking it but he drank A LOT of it to get high and that's not what I'm interested in it for.
MAXALT made me VERY drowsy and also raised my blood pressure. TRAMADOL made me sick and vomit for HOURS at a time and made my headaches worse. TORADOL took all my pain away, which is great because it is non-addictive and only anti-inflammator, it quit working within a week and is not recommended for more than 5 days at a time. Finally, one night I had a horrible migraine and went to the ER, and they gave me a Vicodin (hydrocodone + APAP) 7.5mg to take then, and wrote me a script of 20.
why do I get these spells and feel sick when I get them. I am on depression meds. and anxiety meds and thyroid pills. they seem to be doing fine.
The morning of my surgery, my surgeon (who used to be an exploratory cancer surgeon) and I discussed my bypass, and I brought up my periods, and how I could never get anyone to take my pain seriously. She agreed to "reach around down there" (TMI! LOL!) and see if there was anything while she had me open. When I woke up in ICU, she told me that they had to call in an OB/GYN because they found endometriosis the size of a grapefruit wrapped around my left ovary.
Even though it says on the insert to stay away from grapefruit and maybe other citrus while on gaba, I also discovered that drinking Squirt and some other popular clear sodas with citrus will greatly interact with gaba and cause dizziness and other negatives like feeling of being slightly drunk (they should mention sodas with grapefruit/citrus as well on the insert and the neurontin website because people don't think of sodas having grapefruit sometimes).
My only restictions are grapefruit juice, apple juice and Seville oranges. I feel I can handle that. lol. Yes the first shot angst is crazy. I want the treatment asap so I can clear it and get on with the fun side of life. Traveling, horse riding, etc... I have copies of everything in a binder and I understand so much more doing due dilligence on my own with results in hand. I will keep my wonderful friends informed and thanks again!
Most recently, i've been on i guess what you'd call a 'binge' taking one every day (it's been about a month of everyday, one a day, use) again, I've never gone over the 80mg and continue to take them in the same way, as I described earlier in this post. I've decided (obviously) that i need to stop and i guess i'm just worried and curious about the withdrawls that i'm going to be experiencing. I am taking Klonopin (prescribed) and am wondering if that will help me through it.

My answer for handling this much turmoil for sooo long is GOOD VITAMINS AND HERBS, complements of my mother's pushing them down my throat or else ways. I start detox May 15 and I just found out grapefruit essential oils are suppose to be helpful with drug/alcohol additiions. www.antiagingchoices.com The herbal essential oils are to calm, relax, help depression and lots more. Make sure to go to the web page and read it first!! I know Im trying it.
I can't get in to see the doctor so I have been taking anti-oxidants, colloidal silver, and I also made a spray with filtered water and grapefruit seed extract (GSE) and have been applying it to the sore areas every few hours. The area on my face is already getting better (in about 12 hours) but the area on my hip is still hurting pretty bad. I also try to take extra good care of myself when this happens: rest, drink plenty of fluids, etc.
You sound like you and your girlfriend on the right track for a long wonderful future. I wish you and her all the luck and Gods blessings in the world. Stay focused and you will succeed. keeping you in my thoughts for sure.
