Avatar m tn Concomitant use of tramadol and serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine increases the risk of seizures and serotonin syndrome. It may also reduce the pain relieving properties of the tramadol. If you must take tramadol, do not take it at the same time as fluoxetine. Try to take tramadol and imitrex a few hours apart from the fluoxetine.
Avatar f tn I have been on40Mg of fluoxetine for several years . My doctor started me on 30 Mg of cymbalta which has progressed to 60 mg per day. I think it has helped but am experiencing some dizziness. Is it a drug interaction?
475300 tn?1312423126 ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.
1810386 tn?1405549577 Amitriptyline and Tramadol is horible interaction leading to Serotonine Syndrome. Had it once, before surgery. any SSRI is evil with Tramal. brrrrrrr.

Avatar f tn If I do the thomas and amino and fluoxetine all at once and stop taking tramadol if I will still get sick I wish I knew someone that has tried this...
Avatar f tn You are correct about there the MAJOR drug interaction between tramadol and sertraline (Zoloft). Please note that there are several moderate drug interactions with your medications, for example, sertraline (Zoloft), pregabalin (Lyrica), clonidine, and methocarbamol (Robaxin) all can increase side effects such dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired thinking and judgment when taken together. It would be a good idea to review your medication regimen with your provider and pharmacist.
680303 tn?1239984840 My husband got sick and I had to do more and had even more pain and was gives the morphine sulfate and was ok for awhile, but I think I just have to accept this is cp and mixing drugs is not fun. I was an exercise nut my whole life and hurt myself but I think the tramadol is playing with my emotions, I have never been this unhappy. Yes, I do have lots to be down about but I think it's time to stop. I stopped the morphine easy and restarted it but the tramadol I heard is much harder.
Avatar f tn I was thinking about trying st. John's wort for depression. I take tramadol for a knee alignment issue. I currently take 100mg-200mg about 3 times a week. I know there is an interaction with st. John's wort due to the seratonin increase they both cause. Am I able to take the st. John's wort on days I don't need the tramadol? If not, how long should I wait to take the St. John's wort after taking the tramadol and when would I be able to take the st.
Avatar m tn I also ran an interaction checker on all three, Tramadol, Hydroxyzine and Synthroid, Synthroid produce no interaction with the other two, al though I di get a "Moderate" Interaction on Tramadol and Hydroxyzine as below: MONITOR: Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients.
Avatar n tn 2) Prozac (Fluoxetine) has a very long half-life, possibly up to eight weeks, and so does take much longer than most SSRI's to 'kick in'. Also, it's thought any individual anti-depressant will only produce symptom relief in about two-thirds of depressed individuals who take it. Again, perhaps speak with your prescriber. 3) & 4) Wikipedia does not give 'ex cathedra' advice and you should be critical of anything you read there.
Avatar f tn Hi ive just been put on tramadol 50mg every 4-6 hrs as well as 20mg fluoxetine a day and 10mg of amitriptyline at night. Can someone tell me if this combination of drugs is safe to use as my doctor and pharmacist refuse to give me a straight and.
Avatar f tn With dealing with these issues at this time and coming off the medication I am definately suicidal and that scares the hell out of me. My doctor say Tramadol has not addiction affects and my pharmacist say there might be just a little withdrawals.
Avatar n tn No added interaction. Make sure to bring full list of all medications your husband is on to each doctor's appointment as he may see more than one prescriber and make sure to show that list to them each time they consider prescribing new medications. Jennifer R RPH www.drugstore.
Avatar f tn Since you are on a considerably high dose of tramadol yes, the interaction is significant and can indeed cause serotonin syndrome, Also since Cymbalta is a potent SNRI. Was the tramadol prescribed with by a doctor knowing you were using tramadol as such high dose and vice versa? Reading that is serotonin syndrome on the internet won't improve your situation. I repeat serotonin syndrome is a medical condition that rarely cause trouble. If you experience fever then its time to go to the ER.
Avatar f tn oh, this is just me but unless a doctor tells me to, I wouldn't. Drug interactions are real. https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/suboxone-with-tramadol-439-2040-2221-0.html At the very least, ask a pharmacist.
541465 tn?1219427886 Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone. I was kinda bad and gave all all my klonopins to a friend (at the time she needed it, but I do have seizures so i must take benzo's), All i had let was 1.5 mgs of Klonopin, 0.2mgs Chlonodine, 1 mg ativan (another pill i found with the tramadol)., the 200mg Seroquel ( well right now, i cut them in half i i dont need it), Its hard to pee at the clinic when they have the random urins, and that 50 mg Tramadol.
Avatar f tn I just have to keep it in my head that I took tramadol for years and I wont feel better over night. I just want it to stop whispering in my head "you could feel better instantly if you took just one". Thankfully I dont have any and can not get any. It helps that pretty much everyone in my life knows about my problem and I dont have to pretend I feel perfect and happy. One long slow day at a time right? I hope the best for you all too!
1784776 tn?1314858627 Recently I started on Amitripylline, after initally refusing it two yrs ago, because I also take Fluoxetine and Venafluxine, and worried about interactions. Well it was wonderful-for 2 wks,and then i had an interaction. I stopped the Amitrip, and saw my Ortho surgeon today-to start the booking process for a spinal fusion with graft, cage and screws; he says a discectomy isnt applicable in my case. However today he suggested I take nortripylline-after saying I need stabilisation.
Avatar n tn 2 to 1 month for someone not being introduced with a new drug. Could be shorter for your husband.
728965 tn?1266373645 Hi, I just did a quick google on 'Tramadol and Veginal Bleeding' and found some relation between the two, and it might interact with other meds you're taking. Http://www.drug.com usually has good info. and drug side effects and interations. . Since I'm in a very mush jello mode today, I didn't spend much time reading every article I found. Try using your search engine and see what you can find. I've never had side effects like that........
