Avatar f tn The doctor gave me Tramadol for my endometriosis pain. I have a full week of almost intolerable pain every monthl. Tramadol is one of the few drugs I can tolerate with regards to nausea (Vicodin et al seem to just make me puke immediately), and it does actually manage to relieve my pain fully or at least 80-90% (when I mix it with Aleve). The problem is this. I have to admit that I enjoy the Tramadol. It makes me feel good. Of course it does -- it makes everyone feel good.
Avatar f tn Day # 5 tapering off Tramadol and besides the incredibly banging headaches I am feeling ok. So does anyone think I should taper to 2 pills tomorrow? I have been on 3 a day for 5 days and I am not sure if I am ready for the next step or not. I would love some input.
Avatar n tn Cramps are not supposed to hurt like that and that is one of the most popular symptoms of Endometriosis. I have fibro and Endo. It also could be GI related. How old is she?
Avatar f tn I had to quit because i started having a pain in my side and abdomen that may be endometriosis and I wanted to make sure it was not a symptom or ureter spasms from the vikes. My problem is the mood swings are so severe and the pain is exacerbated to the 10th degree. I want to stop the trams so i know which pain is real and which is not. Should i tell my doctor and get an anti depressant or just stop them and use the thomas recipe.
Avatar n tn If you have endometriosis and you had you CA-125 test done, then what it is detecting is most likely inflammation. I had mine done twice. When I was ovulating it was 78, when I was menstruating it was 37. I ended up having stage IV endo. Some doctors use it as a screening for ovarian cancer and endometriosis. Do you have endo or is it just suspected?
Avatar n tn I eventually visited an MD whose office took walk in patients and explained to him my situation. He prescribed me tramadol for my problems. I discovered that taking one (on occasion two, if the pain was bad enough) would completely rid me of my pains. Since then, I had visited him twice to get more tramadol when I had run out.
Avatar m tn I suffer from severe endometriosis and have been taking 30/500 cocodamol 10 plus a day and tramadol 50mg 8 a day together for 18 months plus and have now been put on BuTrans Transdermal patch Buprenorphine 5mg/hr per week, i put one on monday at 5.30 and now its 8pm thursday and have had no relief what so ever i've applied a second patch at 6.
Avatar f tn Hi all. I have been taking 3 7.5 vics a day for a year. Occasionally 1 tramadol as well, for lumbar compression fracture degenerative disc disease and 2 ruptures discs. I also have a mortons nueroma in my rt foot. I started having a pain in my right side along with cramping which may or may not be endometriosis. I decided to get off the vics to make sure it wasn't side effects. I'm still taking 1 to 2 tramadol a day but no more!
Avatar n tn However I think the best method in which I highly suggest is to look in to Clear Passage. The therapy they do breaks down adhesions and helps with intestinal blockages, endometriosis and infertility. I dont live in the us so I cant get it done right now but I am at a stage in my battle that I am tired and in pain. I cant continue to live this way. Have you tried juicing, raw diets and removing all dairy and wheat?
8095314 tn?1396518162 t take NSAIDS so I take a little Tramadol and Tylenol and sleep on a heating pad, and I still wake up to some discomfort. Fertility doc thinks I should go back on the pill or even Lupron. I am considering Lupron to save my parts and nothing else seems to work. I literally feel like I'm going to start my period. What concerns me is the pain has been constant since my lap in Dec, this has never happened.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there is little you can do to get rid of them until they burst and come away with your period. A good pain killer to take is tramadol to ease pain but they can be drowzy so drive etc. Get an ultrasound to check anyway and demand it asap because you can't live with the pain. If it is constant it may be Endrametriousis which is a lot more serious and can affect fertillity.
Avatar f tn I took tramadol for about a month after a surgery and now I am living with daily pain in both sides of jaw and back of head (base of skull).  Can tramadol cause that and does anyone know if it will go away...I'm miserable.  I can't even have a glass of alcohol socially or the back of my head starts hurting really bad.  I've tried a couple different muscle relaxers (zanaflex, parafon forte) and they didn't help.
Avatar f tn has anyone ever been on tramadol for the pain that endometriosis/ovarian cysts can cause? if so, any thoughts on this? my doctor just prescribed it because hydrocone and tylenol w/codene doesn't do anything for me. i also take anaprox during the day for the pain which helps a little.
Avatar m tn But they have grown back to be much bigger and I am in so much more pain..I am on a heck of alot of meds ie tramadol zapain and 3 other type of pill one being a very high ibuprofen ..I have to go back as they want to remove my womb now,as they just cant go back in and remove and the endo has caused so much damage..My worry is,I have just had another CA125 teat and I thing it was raised to 36..
Avatar f tn Hi, I have endometriosis and I've had 2 kids. My first cyst was a chocolate cyst caused by endo. So, yes, you can have it. I probably had mild endo for a long time b/c I'd notice pain, especially during ovulation, since I was in my 20's. I had my kids in my 30's and my first surgery when I was in my 40's. Take care.
306867 tn?1299249709 I had endometriosis surgery years prior. When they did the laparoscopy they found a fibroid tumor and NO endometriosis, but because the doctor put ....rule out endometriosis....it was stamped pre-exsisiting and they did not pay. I fought it , but as they hope you will do , you finally give up. Another time was after and auto accident . In this case I had double coverage. 1.auto ins. 2 health ins. Both said it was the others responsibility to pay the bills.
Avatar n tn in general she is not helpful, very quick with my visits (ten minutes or less), and not nice AT ALL....I know her job is to keep the baby safe and I respect her for that, but my pain level is unberable without meds and I get super stressed about not being able to go to work, IF I dont have meds....I have severe endometriosis ( surgery 5x since I was 18, Im 25 now), interstitial cystitis (IC), and a very problematic left ovary and chronic fatigue....
Avatar f tn Honey, all of us on this forum has endometriosis....We all take different medications and some of us none at all b/c of side effects. Personally, I've been on vicodin and darvocet. Nothing really helps me and I can't take anything strong b/c we have 2 young kids and DH and I both work. I usually end up taking 800mg of ibuprofen and deal with it as hard as that is to do. Have you had a laparoscopy done? Did it help you any?
Avatar f tn I was wondering what type of pain meds do your doctors give you for your pain with endometriosis. Especially with your period ? The most fun part of our disease . (NOT) thanks ladies! Hope ur all hanging in there .
Avatar n tn m allergic to this, developed recurrent mouth sores), tofranil + tramadol (gave me pounding on chest, nape and scalp plus, tremors of head though not observable by a third person, inability to sleep for 5 days except for 10 minute naps), cymbalta + tramadol + clonazepam (all made me sleep 18-20 hrs aday but successfully relieved me of pain for 2 1/2 months until my body just rejected the meds preceded by nausea just before actually vomitting them all one day).
Avatar f tn I told her that it was real and when she said it wasn't I just said ok and left. I honestly thought the police would've come to my house last night.. It was for tramadol and lortab 5's. Anything from 10-28 quantity. Yesterday was tramadol. I haven't taken anything narcotic since August and I lost my insurance so can't afford the dr. I know it doesn't make it any better but I'm just so sore all the time.
Avatar m tn So your pain doctor dismissed you but gave you the Tramadol? I was prescribed Tramadol many years ago for joint pain but it made me too spacey and didn't really help with my pain. At the time I didn't know Tramadol can also be very hard to withdraw from and needs to be tapered. I wasn't on it long enough to become dependent on it, but I know some people have had a hard time getting off it. I think you definitely need to start looking for a new pain management doctor right away.
Avatar m tn When was the last time you used Tramadol?
Avatar f tn We will never know exactly what causes which pain but the pressure on the bladder for me was the ovarian cyst and the pain before and during pooping was endometriosis scarring on my bowels. Trouble walking was caused by a nice 7cm cyst which was pushing a good range of nerves including one the ran down my leg. Plenty of sharp pelvic pain, to the point of cold sweats and not being able to move off the floor.
Avatar m tn no one but me knows that..and you guys now. That was today and I got the tramadol and a muscle relaxer from him..he seemed like it was normal or something to have to come off pain meds..what is happening in the world.
Avatar f tn Its a opiod and it has the same potential of abuse but low rates of abuse because people prefer hydrocodones and oxycodones. But tramadol is a little weaker opiod and it also works on your seratonin levels so its little different. So treat it as the vicoden if you are looking at tolerence and addiction. I have bad headaches, migraines and neck problems. No tumor but its pain that debilitates me and i am often left feeling lifeless and sorry for myself.
