lidoderm

673999 tn?1226935279 Have your doctor write you a prescription for Lidocaine 2 % Gel ( called "Urojets")...this is a cartridge with topical Lidocaine that is injected directly into the urethra. Very commonly used by urologists as a local anesthestic both in the office and in the surgical setting, and I found it to be extremely helpful for IC. I couldn't have survived without it.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.
Avatar m tn try topical anelgesic cream it does wonders for mine, if that does not work ask your sdocto for somethin containg lidocaine
Avatar n tn Ask you vet for dosing on any over the counter one such as benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Tavist (clemastine) or Chlortrimeton (chlorpheniramine) BUT most important get your pup on oral antibiotics and antifungals along with a good topical ear med like otomax or for really bad yeast clotrimazole drops. Also try cleansing the ear with a mixture of Domeboro solution.
612551 tn?1450022175 like myself who is also a (human) medical technician (nurse) said that he has had success with Benadryl Topical liquid on his dogs. I know the fact that it is safe/recommended for human use is not proof it is safe or effective on dogs. Still I'd like to give it a try. On the ears there is no way he can lick/ingest the stuff, on the feet he may get some ingested and perhaps that is a different issue.
Avatar n tn You used lidocaine wipes directly on your penis. That's an analgesic albeit topical and numbs the nerves. It does work for some and is a non invasive way to extend things. How long the numbness lasts isn't really given to freely as there aren't a lot of studies. But if it is lasting significantly longer after using them? That's odd. It does deaden the nerve endings under your skin but it is to subside relatively quickly. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar n tn is it safe to use blood clotting spray for minor wounds&cuts for warfarin user?
Avatar f tn this could be due to irritation or something else. Regardless, I would consult with a doctor. Something like a topical ointment such as lidocaine (numbing) can help incredibly.
Avatar f tn I received my shipment today of ocean potion and rec. by another person on this site. I found it to provide instant relief of itching. It's temporary but still I would recommend it since it is so cheap. Much cheaper then Sarna. Huge bottles 20.5 oz each, like $3.50 a bottle. I got 2 shipped by wal mart since it's not available in Phoenix at wal mart or walgreens. Cost me $12 with tax and shipping. It's worth having in the arsenal, good for riba or incevik.
572651 tn?1530999357 I have no idea, but I've heard a couple of people say that they use lidocaine patches for their nerve pain - cut them up and stick the pieces on, wherever they're getting a pain.
Avatar f tn The only thing that seems to have worked is topical capsaicin but this is only effective for the itching around my anus and does not help my scrotal itching. The last specialist I went to told me it was most likely neurogenic and that there was nothing he could do (reassuring right). Since then I have done copious amounts of research. I found that it’s possibly linked to lumbosacral radiculopathy but wonder whether I’m way to young to have this.
Avatar m tn 1. Can I A) use a topical anesthetic B)Wash it after a while and C)Apply podophyllin If it's OK, 2. Which type of anesthetic should I use? Lidocaine, benzocaine, ... ? 3. Which form, gel, cream, ... ? 4. How long should I wait before washing the anesthetic?
Avatar n tn Topical symptomatic treatments such as topical lidocaine or benzyl alcohol (Zilactin) may help relieve symptoms. Using an antiviral medication may shorten the duration of cold sores if started very early. If you experience very frequent bouts, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral medication as a cold sore treatment or to prevent cold sores.
Avatar n tn Many arthritis sufferers are in a panic over the shortage of Voltaren gel (diclofenac sodium gel) and I get why they are worried. Voltaren gel is a prescription topical anti-inflammatory gel used for all kinds of arthritis pain: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis of the knees, hands and hips. People who have stomach issues from taking anti-inflammatories by mouth can bypass that problem with Voltaren gel.

1974283 tn?1425609124 Hello, Vestiulitis is vulvodynia localized to the vulvar region. Treatment consists of topical medications (i.e. cromolyn, lidocaine, estrogen, capsaicin), anti-depressant medication (i.e. amitriptylin, amoxapine, clomipramine, imipramine), cognitive-behavioral therapy, biofeedback, vestibulectomy (surgery), laser surgery and Botox injections. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Is there a topical aneasthetic for use with children during injections? I have in mind a dauber type device with a porous pad under stopper with the material in a bottle. Jim Keane.
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar n tn This is a question for your doctor or a pharmacist.
Avatar f tn If you take my suggesting be careful not to put too much on the dog. For small dogs just a couple of drops on the sking behind their head would be my first try... and this stuff is long lasting, it is used once a month.
612551 tn?1450022175 happily Wilson has been willing to eat it every day for a couple of weeks. Another strange, to my experience for dogs, aspect of this dog is he get tired of a food and just refuses to eat it any more. We had used chicken broth to get him to eat the same-o-same-o and it worked, but now nothing chicken, seems chicken and beef are two (in most dog foods) protein sources that some dogs are allergic too - go figure. Wilson is estimated to be going on 9 years old.
397118 tn?1219762250 I am looking for anything too because I would like to take zero Norco. Sometimes I used a topical gel called Biofreeze - I got it from the chiropracter. Massages really help but are expensive! Hope that helps a bit....
1110049 tn?1409402144 You could try using commercially available NSAID/ anaesthetic ointments such as those containing ibuprofen/ lidocaine for pain relief. The topical ointments are devoid of most systemic side effects of the medications. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar m tn A number of cardiac drugs, including digitalis, lidocaine, diltiazem, procainamide, atropine, and propanalol (Inderal), are used to control arrhythmias in dogs. Dogs whose primary problem is an arrhythmia may be able to have a pacemaker implanted to help control the heart rate. The heart will ultimately give-in, resulting usually in cardiac failure (heart attack).
Avatar f tn You could Try some lidocaine gel although I'm not sure it's OTC...I just dont remember...Look for an ointment that's topical and containing any kind of numbing agent. Try to leave it alone so a scab can form and that will help. Breathe through your mouth. Try to get an appt sooner. Go to an Urgent Care and they can prescribe a topical anesthetic. Take Motrin or Aleve. I can understand why you used the bactine; we will do anything when we're in pain...
Avatar m tn All I know is that we never had a problem like this when we had the dogs. The dogs were always treated with a topical flea killer and flea collars, and our cat never needed more than a collar on him. I believe any or most all fleas were picked up by the dogs, then died. Anyway, that said, it appears our cat is the only target now for the fleas.

Avatar f tn Is it safe for dogs and cats to ingest garlic juice sprayed on their food? I just read something that suggested spraying garlic juice on dogs food to eliminate fleas and ticks - just want to know if this is safe. My dog is having a terrible time with fleas and flea allergy even after a Frontline Tritek treatment.
