He said to buy gauze from a chemist and to use a gauze to put it on. He did it once and it stayed but the one that I bought and daubed the cream doesn't stay. Falls off very quickly. The question is does using a gauze matter medically( it might be to just protect clothes) for applying this cream? I am putting in on by hand now.

Avatar m tn It is getting better but not totally after the ten days of cefelexin and a topical treatment called bactroban i think. He gave me 4 more days of the oral antibiotic. I waited a few days to start using the medicine because i thought it was going away and i was just using baby powder and triple antibiotic ointment. It irritated it and made it itch. could this just be irritation from the dry skin caused by th baby powder?
