1840891 tn?1431547793 I would love to hear from anyone who can offer some info such as how most hepatologists feel about the use of this gel (or any other topical NSAID) in cirrhotics. I just have this lingering doubt that my hepatologist tends to be a little bit too relaxed about some things – it does seem to take quite a lot to actually alarm him. Thanks!
Avatar n tn Many arthritis sufferers are in a panic over the shortage of Voltaren gel (diclofenac sodium gel) and I get why they are worried. Voltaren gel is a prescription topical anti-inflammatory gel used for all kinds of arthritis pain: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis of the knees, hands and hips. People who have stomach issues from taking anti-inflammatories by mouth can bypass that problem with Voltaren gel.
Avatar n tn Voltaren Gel is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, commonly known as NSAIDs. It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Avatar m tn The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
Avatar f tn t been in remission for 10 years I small bumps that appear at random. Sometimes size of a pencil eraser in diameter under skin. They are sore to touch . A topical antibiotic does nothing to clear. I am using T gel shampoo.
Avatar m tn BP is relatively normal. I take indapmide for that (From my regular doctor). In fact when my cardilolgist put me on diltiazem, he took me off indapamide. That didn't last long. The diltiazem did nothing for my BP. It went back up (Only talking +/- 140/90), so let me add bavk the indapamide. So, that is not an issue. Just the MVP/ diltazem issue. The pulse can stay n the 60's for awhile. At most during the day, in the 80's. (Of course, that is only when the rythym is normal).
1622431 tn?1299070442 I have recently been diagnosed with pacs, and my doctor put me on diltiazem. Can any one tell me from experience how effective this treatment is?
Avatar f tn It involves topical treatments, light therapy and oral medications. Topical psoriasis treatments include topical corticosteroids, vitamin D analogues, anthralin, topical retinoids and coal tar. Phototherapy involves sunlight or the use of artificial ultraviolet A (UVA) or ultraviolet B (UVB) light either alone or in combination with medications. Oral treatment like retinoids, Methotrexate and azathioprine are used in severe psoriasis which doesn’t respond to other therapies. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn Hi Urmi151, yes I have had this all my life but worse in my teens. I don't know if they have the same drugs as here in the US. You don't want to scrub the area, use gentle fragrance free cleanser and gently wash the area. Scrubbing makes it worse. Here we have Accutane, clinidamycin topical, and other drugs. I also used neutorgena face wash then at bed salicylic acid gel or topical. You can use OXY 5 or 10 cream. I'm sure others will have plenty more to help you with.
5958897 tn?1426798528 I use erythromycin topical gel prescribed by my dermatologist as well as Mario Badescu acne wash. Sort of helps.
Avatar m tn To my knowledge, having celiac disease shouldn't hinder anyone having laser hair removal unless some step of procedure uses a gel or other substance that contains gluten and that individual can't handle topical gluten products.
Avatar m tn I have been to my dermo and was givin dermatec gel and ketoconqazole gel. i think its Xolegel. it helped alot with the scales and redness on my face and under beard and nose folds and eyebrows. But i still have a redness itchy forhead. Does the seberhic derm also just make a redness without scales?
Avatar f tn Some of the treatment options are application of creams like Mederma or contractubex gel, silicone gel dressings, surgery, steroid injections, compression bandage, cryosurgery, laser therapy and alpha-interferon, 5-fluorouracil and bleomycin. Regarding the tinea infection,if it is unresponsive to the topical anti fungals, then pls start with oral antifungals. Also if there is no response then the diagnosis needs to be revised. Hope it helps.
12392833 tn?1434611231 My acne was getting out of control and my doctor prescriber erythromycin topical gel. It seems to be working. And I have been using mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser and dove soap.
1094941 tn?1264559085 Pat it dry and do not rub it. Avoid picking or pressing the acne. You can also use Benzoyl peroxide 5% lotion or gel once at bedtime. An amount of lotion the size of a pea should be enough to cover most of your face. If your skin becomes red or peels, you are using too much of the medicine or applying it too often. If the symptoms persist then topical and oral antibiotics may be needed. My advice would be to consult a dermatologist. Hope it helps.
Avatar m tn Apart from that you need topical and oral antibiotics, antihistamines, oral steroids and topical tretinoin. My sincere advice is to get it examined from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago my Cardio doctor changed my medication from Cardizem LA to Diltiazem CD. I know it's the generic brand of Cardizem. Anyway he raised my dosage from 240 mg. to 300 mg. For a whole week I had some terrible side effects. I blacked out once while sitting at my computer and then I came close to blacking out on a daily basis. I also felt off balance. I ended up going to my primary doctor, not for this, but for something else. I guess it was a follow up appointment.
