Topamax overdose how much

Common Questions and Answers about Topamax overdose how much

topamax

I'm keeping a journal on here tracking my weight, side effects, and other details how Topamax is making me feel. Honestly it's not as bad as others like Imitrex. I'm just on 25mgs right now so I haven't been moved up yet. Thus far, not bad but not good. Hasn't really helped much with the migraines/general headaches but I'm only in the beginning stages. I'll post every day in my journal if anyone gets bored and wants to see how this stuff works. Also got my sleep pattern tested.
My name is Lisa and I am 37 years old. About 4 months ago I tried to overdose on 30 darvocet pills. Luckly it didn't work. I'm doing much better now mentally, but since then my liver enzymes have been elevated. I also have Psudotumor Cerebri and have a VA shunt. I take Topamax 175 mg for headaches and 300 mg of Luvox for Depression. The only medication I take now are the two and my enzymes are staying elevated.
I do take Magnesium, on 100 mg Lyrica twice a day. Topamax had overdose and how petrified of it, pharmacist error started me on 200 mg then went up to 400 mg instead of 50. Very bad results. Use to be on Neurontin but didn't help with he burning I have. Had problems with Cymbalta when I originally tried it but everyone is telling me how much better I'm doing. I can't tell what should be happening or what is side effects. Voltaren didn't help much so take Napracin.
I had to be on Topamax and ibuprofen for rebound headaches. The first strength of Topamax didn't work well enough so they ended up raising the doseage until I was at maybe 1 migraine a week that lasted a day or so and then I had to take vicoden. I never developed a dependancy to that... my addiction is to muscle relaxers (soma) .
I would take more than 10-12 but I don't want to die of a tylenol overdose, how terrible would that be for my 3 kids. How did your mom die? oh, she took too many pills. ugh.... God help me.
Worse part of sleep meds is that you build a tolerance very quickly and it becomes ridiculous how much and how long for it to kick in, by that time my day is ruined, I will say that Seroquel will do the trick but I'd sleep my life away it's so strong and weight gain is a major side effect and it has some pretty harsh other effects long term that I read about, enough to scare me and insist my doc take me off of it.
My question is...has anyone taken this? How did you like it? What were your side effects? the big one...how much did it cost before insurance? Our insurance is screwy right now so I might be having to pay out of pocket for a few months' worth of the Micronor and I'm hoping it's not too expensive...has anyone done online pharmacies? are they cheaper?
I am presently on 150mcg of Fentanyl every 2 days. I don't know how much you are taking and how often, but your Doctor should without question be gaging your pain level as he must need to increase your dose and application periods. I have taken about all the pain meds out there, and I can say that without question, Fentanyl has worked the best. However, it is imperative that the dose and sequence of applying them found.
Hey, try looking up info on Lexapro. DON'T do Cymbalta - that's my suicide experience..it numbed me too much - mixed with Adderall. Have you ever tried the Lamactical for the BiPolar? The Pdoc took me completely off of the AD, and put me on this (which is used for mood stabilizing and also has been used for epeliptics), and it scared me to NO END to not be on an AD med, after having it for over 15 years. He chose to try me on the Lamactical before going to Lithium.
First let me say thank you so much for RESPONDING. If you dont mind let me ask you a few?? How long have you been dealing with this. and you said you had a lot of the same issues Have you had the tingling and Brain Freeze Head Feeling? That one seems to be the one I cant shake and of course the Fatigue and Brain Fog. I just had my Primary draw more blood Yesterday Vit D and several others were included for the first time hopefully some results will follow.
I also take Tizanandine, 8mg a night, along with Baclofen, Remeron, and Konopin. This little "cocktail" is to help me sleep because the pain is so severe at night ,especially during the early morning. Last night I had some intense dreams and awoke feeling a little "off" this morning after taking the Lyrica. I believe it's because I take so much junk. How long did it take to work for you?
i began on tramadol and had withdrawals when my doc wanted me to stop to see where my pain was at. before you take tram, please tell mee how much you have and what milligrams. maybe we can set up a switch. it's probably dangerous for me to be giving advice w/o being your doc, but i can say will ALL ceetainty that tram IS MUCH milder than oxy!
it woke him up , but he was still slurring his words and not right but they dismissed it and said it was an overdose. my husband does not drink alcohol but when he slurs his word it;s like he is totally drunk out of his mind , like he speaks a different language all together.
look up other sites some by drs and reaserch they may be more informative i will keep posting too as i go to my ivf dr and he knows what im on and how much he is one of the best in the nation..
I know I felt sooo much better after finding out that I wasn't truly going insane...and that what I was experiencing were very common panic/anxiety symptoms.
i must confess that nicotine is the most difficult addiction to break free of. ****, to this day it still suprises me how much power it still has over me. any how my wife is happy, my mom and dad are happy, my mother in law is happy. even "meaty boy," my keeshound is happy. now if i could just get half as happy as anyone is about this....well i don't know. i don't think i've ever been that hap- py!! i may not be real "happy" about quitting the nicotine, i am real grateful.
As to the benzo, i use it myself 0.375mg subdivided, look how small it is because one is cautious of addiction. my pdoc says don't ever exceed 1mg. of course i know pts taking up to 4mg but this is hazardous. I am not familiar with Buspar, yet many are on it. Ask your pdoc 1st. in my country there are some tea bags for anxiety and to calm you down. Sure in western countries it exists, why not exhaust those alternatives first. The less the no of drugs your son is taking the better.
These subconscious determinants of the therapist are used to evaluate your disorder according to how you look to how much you may not drool in therapy. The first was a trainee and just didn’t have a clue. She was a very nice woman but I had to find another because I was literally giving her a lesson on how to be a therapist. The second was an alcoholic/AA person and was into new wave god theology. He wanted me to tell him what he wanted to hear.
all of it until I finally really fell apart at the age of 38. I was a realtor and found myself unable to do much of anything, much less think clearly. So I gave that up. That's when I was finally diagnosed properly and medicated. I am not completely stable...but much more so then I was 5 years ago without meds. But anyway, yes I do believe it progresses with age.
Hello,no I have not tried it(yet) and do not think it is illegal here(I have to check my schedule 8-list,same as schedule 1 and 2 in USA)actually they stuffed up our regulations here, nobody has noticed yet but hydromorphone(Dilaudid)is not classified or scheduled ,I have just spent a while studying it(see link below),and apparently nobody has any idea how it works or exactly how well it works, much more research needs to be done,on top of that it is undoubtably a Hallucinogen and possible euphori
If not, I won't be offended or anything. How did you get your pills? How much did they cost? How many were you taking? How long did it take for your husband to notice, if he did? When he did, how did you feel? Were you releived, or angry? I don't believe my wife is on anything at present which would mean about 2 1/2 weeks. She's taking a **it load of Motrin right now for a sore back? or so I am told. She's gone through about 76 of the 160 bottle in about 10 days.
So, I thought it was from my Topamax. My Dr took me off of my Topamax for a while, and it wasn't my Topamax. And the burning sensation is unbelievable. And the crawling sensation that goes through my head like there are bugs running through my scalp. People keep telling me to get tested for MS, but if MRI's can come back normal even if you do have MS why bother? Then someone told me that some migraines can mimic TIA or mini strokes.
There does not seem to be much online about this drug but am desperate to find someone who has had the same addiction. It has a barbituate it so it is tricky to come off of but I hear it can be done. Anyone who has been there it would be a miracle to hear from you as I have never met anyone with the same addiction. A bit of information as to where I am at. I am 51 and have been addicted to them for around 7 years. I take between 8 and 10 EVERY day.
The doctor I chose to go to did not offer much info...he thinks I may have a damaged nerve in my back. He also told me during my exam that I have 'brisk reflexes' and had asked me if I had always had 'brisk reflexes'. He seemed very concerned about this condition. I also have fatigue and always a feeling of muscle aches and sometimes confusion. Please...anyone that has suffered from this condition, please respond....I am very concerned about this and would appreciate any info from anyone!
Some of the reactions associated with caffeine allergies include difficulty breathing, shock, tongue, and facial swelling. These reactions are different than those associated with consuming too much caffeine which include jitters, headache, insomnia, and irritability. An uncommon component to caffeine that people experience adverse reactions to is tannins, but it does happen. Tannins are not only found in coffee and soda, but in chocolate and red wine as well.
I'd like to know more about the needles (Karen) - where do you get them? how much etc. I had a great job and really miss it but have my horses and a loving family by my side - attitude really is everything. I am writing my autobiography and live life from day to day.
Can a Vitamin D deficiency cause this much pain? Went to the doc for muscle pain & weakness with increasing shooting pains to the point of affecting everyday functioning. Blood test came back low in Vitamin D. Result was 11, (should be 26 to 55). Other results OK. Cervical Spine & lower back MRI OK. Treatment is 50,000 units of D per week for 4 weeks and thereafter once a month. Been on it for 4 months. Feel at times like I was in accident.
