Well over the past 4 years I have been told 5 times that I either had MS or didn't. So recently I went to see a neuro about my constant headaches and while in the ER he told me that I did have MS (since I have brain lesions and spinal fluid was positive.) I have no physical signs of MS except recently I have blurry vision in my left eye alot of the time. I also get headaches if not everyday than every other.
I have been suffering with severe migraines with aura (blurred vision in right eye, numbness in right side of face upto a week after headache has gone)
I was informed last week the a blood test I had 2 years ago showed antiphospholipid antibodies (mine were 28 and was told they should be between 0 and 19) I have been told to take asprin each day and 30mg amitriptyline. I am trying to find out if this is hereditary and is it something I have always had or something that has just happened?

m recovering from an ear ache. My hearing is excellent however. I gets bouts of sudden blurred vision and then my head tingles. The right side of my head feels inflamed and when I massage it to get relief it feels bruised. I developed vertigo on Christmas night. I was on topamax for 7 days which stopped the Auras and migraines but not the vertigo. I was having too many side effects and had to stop the med.

For over six months, I have had blurred vision in my left eye on a daily basis. I have a history of classic migraine with aura, and I have noticed that it appears to get really really worse with conventional migraine triggers - red wine, too much or too little caffeine, etc. Other symptoms also, including dizziness, "drunk" feeling, occasional confusion, some intermittent weakness, but the most prominent symptom is visual. It is rarely painful, though there is pressure at times.
My symptoms include headaches, dizziness, neck pain, ringing in the ears, and blurred vision. After much research it seems my only options are do nothing or surgery. My Neurologist has had me try topamax in the past but the side effects were horrifying. She now wants me to try Diamox. Any relief with this drug?? I am so afraid of taking any other drugs after the topamax. Side effects or any info would be much appreciated. I will meet with a NS next week to discuss the surgery.
Topamax is a crazy stuff. I was on it for a summer and I couldn't remember anything! I'm a nurse and let me tell you, my boss actually thougth I was coming to work drunk because of the way I was acting. Needless to say I stopped taking that medication shortly after.
The amitryptlyine was a terriable experiance for me as well. The very first dose of 10mg (yes only 10mg!) I had blurred vision and I couldn't see anything other than colors for the half life of the medication.
At 9 1/2 my daughter complained of blurred vision when trying to focus on small print. Shortly after, she developed severe biological depression, which unfortunately was treated with Zoloft without realizing she had Central (hypothalamic) hypothyroidism. The blurred vision turned out to be due to far-sightedness, and when trying to focus up close, the left eye drifted to the left. This is corrected with prismatic reading glasses.
it started as a nagging mild headache and then in one incident flared up into a headache with symptoms similar to migraine, including blurred vision, facial numbness on the left side, and photophobia. elitriptan gave her some relief the first time, but then failed to work again. barbituates and hydrocodone give her some relief, but cannot eliminate the headache.

ve been experiencing horrible headaches and migraines for four months, my vision is so blurred that my prescription contacts/glasses dont always help (it's like I have nothing on to help me see), and I have some chest pains that aren't really strong but annoyingly achy and uncomfortable. Ignored for some time but eventually went to primary with complaint as facial numbness never disappeared and had episodes of blurred vision as well. He ordered MRI and EEG. MRI showed single punctate focus of deep white matter FLAIR signal hyperintensity in the left parietal lobe. EEG was abnormal because of paroxysmal generalized discharges of high amplitude sharp and slow waves. Referred to neurologist who prescribed Topamax and 24hr EEG.
It may present with tender/sore eye; pain behind the eye when the eye moves; dim or dull vision; decreased or blurred vision at least one eye; decreased peripheral vision and color perception, nausea, fever and headache. This may be caused by autoimmune or inflammatory conditions as well as infection and allergy. A swollen optic nerve usually improves over several days to weeks, but may take months for complete restoration of normal vision.
My vision has progressively become worse over the past four years or so. As of late, it has become much worse, with blurred vision. I find it very difficult to read at times. I was diagnosed with MS in February. Until then I just thought my eyes were getting bad, but now I wonder if it has to do with the MS. With MS and vision problems, does it get bad and then better like a relaps? Should I speak to my Neuro about it, or just go to the eye dr? Thanks for your help!
Has anyone experienced blurred vision and migranes?, I'm 34 weeks + 4 days pregnant and today I experienced blurred vision for 20mins followed by an hour migrane,I felt sick and had lower back pain but it eventually went! Has anyone else experienced this!?
I am 34 weeks 1 day my water broke at 33 weeks 1 day (been hospitalized for a week now ; no baby!) Well right now I'm experiencing this weird head spasms accompanied by blurred vision and then my body feels all weird.. Has anybody else experienced this? (paging nurse in room now)...
