Hi ,I am in a clinical study that is testing a pill that contains both topamax/phentermine. So I do not know for sure what I am taking but by the effects I think I am on the strongest dose they are testing. After 3 days I said to someone,"This pill doesn't just kill my appetite, it has taken away all cravings. I too am a binge eater, and had no idea was a serving of anything was, I ate till the box, carton, bag was finished.

I was prescribed topomax and phentermine in a weightloss study. I was also a sophomore at university at the time. The phentermine was great, but the topomax, which I took in the afternoons made me forget words and phrases I wanted to use, ... you know, you just can't find the words for what you want to say.

I was wondering if anyone has tried Bontril or Phentermine? Did you have success? What were your side effects? My Dr prescribed Topamax but I'm having really bad side effects with it so I don't want to continue.

My doctor has prescribed Topamax for weight loss... I was also on Zoloft ( 100mg) for aniexty.. however after being on Topamax for over a month now I must say that I feel wonderful!!!! I have lost a total of 16lbs.... which is great b/c I'm 5'7 and 195 lbs.. I'm weaning myself off the Zoloft....the only side effect that I am experiencing with the topamax is I feel a little goofy at times and my spelling and overall loss of words at times can be bothersome....

Right now my doctor prescribed 15 mg of Phentermine and 50 mg of Topamax. The Topamax effects my concentration slow I cut it down to 25 mg. Will this new dosage combo still work? Also, can I take the Topamax at night and the Phentermine during the day and have it still be as effective? Very confused and frustrated.....

I just started Topamax. I'm on 25mg/day and will increase by 25mg/week until I reach 100mg. I heard the weightloss effect depends on the dose. So, what dose did everyone here have their success? And what type of diet/eating plan and exercise plan did you do to help it along? I'm desperate to lose 40 lbs (half of which I gained on Zoloft-no longer taking). I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

I have done my best to warm people about the sight threatening side effects from Topamax, but this last week I have seen the worst case scenario up close and personal. This patient was a 65 year-old man on only 25 mg of Topamax a day for headaches. It took us over 8 hours just to get the eye pressure under 50 (which is still about 3 times normal.) He was rapidly losing vision from an attack of acute angle closure glaucoma IN BOTH EYES.

I have been on the phentermine 37.5 a pill and a half (Dr RX'd) and they just don't seem to be doing anything anymore. I am at a standstill. I would love to hear how the HCG injections have worked for you as far as curbing your appetite goes. OR, can you offer me any wisdom or advice. If you can have the doc combine Topamax with Phentermine you will definitely lose the weight and fast! My girlfriend was prescribed Topamax for migraines and gave me some for my migraines. When I did my research I found it is used to treat obesity and highly effective, but more effective when taken with phentermine. Google phentermine and topomax for weight loss. Just know that after stopping any weight loss pills, you must change your lifestlyle otherwise the weight comes right back.

is just my body has not adjusted to the cerebral pressure I am lacking from the spinal tap, or from the topamax that he recently put me on for my migraines, the kicker is , I was only on 25 miligrams of topamax and was just increasing to 50 mg of tompamax because it was the second week of me being on topamax, and when I started feeling so bad I did not take it for a few days. Hey anyone going to a weight loss clinic that uses Phentermine and Topamax together for weightloss?

She went to a different doctor and Once the meds were worked out - i'M NOT positive but I think her doctor took her off paxil and put her on another similar med but also added a weight loss drug like bontril or phentermine (I don't remember which) Anyway after that her weight came off the same way it went on. If you did not have a weight problem before the meds it shoulf be the same for you. If your doctor won't work with you get another doctor.

Also a combination of Phentermine and Topamax are used to assist in weight loss. While your average energy drink may contain some of these vitamins, it doesn't aid your body in weight loss as the B 12/ B 6 injections + pills do.

So far I've lost 30 pounds. I started taking phentermine 37.5 with it about 3 months ago. The Welbutrin did pretty good with controlling my hunger but the phentermine really helped me loose the weight. I have to force myself to eat. It caused me to be pretty jittery at first but after a couple of weeks it improved.

I have had my TSH checked for thyroid problems. My doctor will not prescribe Topamax because of the side effects. I want to scream when I see websites that say just lower your calorie intake and exercise. Hi I just wanted everyone on here to know that i once was on effexor for a whole year. Loved what it did for me mentally. I coulda' cared less about anything at all! including my weight, unfortunitaly- for me. I was a member of weight watchers before starting this med., i weighed in at a whopping 212lbs at 5'2". I lost 40lbs with weight watchers and still going strong... untill i got myself started on that nasty little pill. it ruined me. Most of my issues are due to my obesity.
